Hi everyone, Im due to start another ICSI cycle in September,(2 failed attempts)I was going to start in 2 weeks time but I dont feel ready for it.
I have seen the consultant who said that both times we had really good graded eggs and everything seem fine, its obviously the lining not accepting the embryos, so he said he wants to try us on the long cycle, (previous 2 were short) hoping the lining will prepare itself better.
Im going to see the nurse in a months time but dont really know an awful lot about the long cycle excect for it being 2 weeks longer than the short cycle.
I've got a list of the drugs we need to get, Buseuelin (injections) cannot sniff with hayfever, then menopur which I have taken before and then the normal HCG and something called Gestrinone injections instead of pesseries or gel which I had previously, and apparently this is a very very painful injection which has to be taken for 19 days !!! (anyone had this one before)

With the short cycle I had a scan between days 1-3 and on day 2 started injecting for approx 10 days with menopur and on day 7 started cetrotide aswell, but also I had to keep going back for scans every other day for about 2 weeks, then about day 14 was EC and then ET three days later than the dreaded 2ww, so all in all about 4 weeks.

So I was wondering if anyone could help me out with the long cycle only 4 weeks before I see the nurse is killing me with suspense.

Thankyou

Tracy

[Edited by TracyJ on 07-Aug-03 12:20]
