Hi Ladies,

Well I though I would come and join this thread as I have also just got a BFP. That was on the 25th April. My Level was measured at 65, and then tested again yesterday, and it has increased to 168, which is brill. I am so excited at how far I have come. My First scan date is 11th May. I suppose that will be if they tell me if it is extopic or not. I hope to goodness that it is not. Having already had on Natural ectopic and as a result lost a tube, I am hoping so hard that everything will be OK this time round.

I know that I shouldn't get too excited about it all, and DH keeps telling me to keep my feet firmly on the ground, but I just want to shout my news from the rooftops. I know he is right though, so quite I stay. But I don't have to be quite here so.

I am Pregnant!!!!!!!

So I will look forward to reading all of your news and hopfully post some good news on the 11th May. I have added my scan date to the last list I could find.

Wishing you all a happy healthy pregancy.

Daly,

I can TOTALLY relate - my last pregnancy I had two small subchorionic bleeds.....I was on bedrest for one week then light duty until they healed....I bleed heavy just the one day but continued to have spotting from 11 weeks to 16 weeks - at about 13 weeks one bleed had healed and by 16 weeks the other had healed - the spotting is disconcerting but as long as your spotting you are healing...Send me a private message if you want more information!

Hello everyone!! Just stopping by to say hello to everyone.

Welcome to the new girls - it's wonderful to have so many of us able to post here!!

Mel - I couldn't agree more w/everything you said!! :)

Daly - good to hear from you, hope you are up and moving around very soon. I am with you on the nausea - the past 2 days it has been terrible for me. No vomiting - just feel nauseous most of the time.

Krista hope you get your mind put at ease soon about the bleeding - it does seem as though it is very, very common. I am sure everything will be ok :)

Sorry I can't send a personal to everyone - too many to keep track of (a very GOOD thing)

Just wanted to say good luck to Addison for scan today, and Danielle for Monday. Can't wait to hear how it goes!

Have a great weekend all!

So many people on this thread...sorry if I miss someone...lots of message since yesterday to catch up on.

Mel & Sue...yep, we hit 12 weeks!!! Yeah!! Can you believe it? Traci, you are almost there too. We're all moving to the other thread, I guess. I agree, I'll keep checking this thread too.

Daly & Jessica, thanks for the peace about the bleeding. I do feel like everything is alright, given everything I've read and been told. Doc said there was no reason why it happened, but said the blood wasn't in my uterus, so that was good. He figured it was just from my cervix, which is ok. He didn't give me bedrest, but I self-prescribed 4.5 days of bed rest for myself anyway. Keeping my feet up! I had the short "gush" on Mon and again Wed, nothing since.

Mel, I was told I should do the amneo or CVS because we did IVF/ICSI and because I'll be 35 when I have the babies. CVS has 1/2% higher risk of causing a miscarriage, but it's done at 12 weeks instead of 16. If there's a problem with one of the babies then it's less risky to the other baby to selective reduce (I can barely write that, please God don't make me have to make that decision). Thus, the decision...I'm doing it Tuesday. One week later I'll have most of the results, including 100% certainly on the genders of the twins!

Daly, yeah, the many ultrasounds are nice, aren't they. I will have 6 of them by 13.5 weeks. It's such a reassurance for my mind, so I agree with what you said.

I feel like this message is really long....so I'm not going to keep writing, even though I'd love to write something to each of you!!!!

Bella, I'm so glad to hear you've almost made it through that long period from your first scan to your 12 week one. Has it seemed long to you? You are going to be so surprised when you see it at 12 weeks. It's amazing! Glad to hear from you and glad you are doing well!

It has been sooo long. My poor DH....all I do at the moment is read about parenting &/or pregnancy. I think after the scan I will buy myself some good trashy novels & chill out for a bit.

Hi girls - just stopping in for a quickie. I posted this on the pg after trtmnt forum - but thought i would put it here too.

I am currently 6.5 weeks pregnant. My 1st scan was scheduled for 5/8. Sat night I had very light bleeding - pinkish color on the t-paper and I saw 2 clots. I know clots are very bad sign - so I was freaking out. I had no cramping or pain at all. The whole thing lasted maybe an hour and it never even hit the pantyliner I put on - it was only there when I wiped.

So I called my doc at midnight, and he got me in yesterday morning for a scan. I saw one perfect little beanie and got to see and hear the heartbeat! It was amazing!! The doctor said bleeding in early pregnancy is normal - it happens to 25% of women and he said everything looks great with my baby so I need not worry.

Easier said than done - of course. I had another little bout of slight staining last night - pinkish/brownish - but no clotting and this one didn't last long at all. I know sometimes the internal ultrasounds can make you spot. Still no cramping and so far nothing as far as spotting today.

Do any of you have any experience/insight about this? I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Hey, Lisa. I'm futher along then you, but had a similar scare last week. I had a "gush" of blood on two different days. Not spotting or a clot, just a gush that lasted about 5 minutes and made a nice mess everywhere. I freaked out too. But you are right...doc said bleeding is very normal and I searched on the past posts on this site and found that many women said the same thing. My ultrasound shows the babies were just fine too. So yeah, we're not supposed to worry...HA!...that's difficult. Congrats on the early scan and seeing the heartbeat!!! That should give you some relief.

Hi Kristi - thanks for responding :)

So has your bleeding completely stopped now? That is an awful feeling - isn't it? Thank God we are okay.

I searched some of the old posts too and saw that it is very normal to have this happen. Makes me feel a little better - but I am still going to drive myself crazy checking my underwear all the time - lol!!

As far as seeing the heartbeat - wow! There aren't words to describe it. I was very surprised we got to hear it b/c most books, etc. say you can see the heartbeat this early, but can't hear it until 8-10 weeks. Well we heard it alright - at 6 1/2 weeks! The rate was 117 bpm. It was an incredible feeling! I am going to hang on to that.....

Yeah, mine stopped. Nothing except the two times last week Monday and Wednesday. But I'm like you....checking constantly!!! I haven't done that since the original 2ww. Glad you are feeling better about it too. Just be sure to take it easy as much as you can...that's what I'm doing so that I know I've done everything possible to prevent a problem!

Hey Everyone!

Just an update.. I had my scan today at 6 weeks 0 days.. I saw the heartbeat of my cute little Bean! They said he/she was the size of a piece of rice! My DH had to stand up and double check because he was positive that we were having twins! I have to say I am very relived that i only had one! I was really really nervous that I was having twins..

I will have another scan in 2 weeks =) another 2ww !!!

Have a great day!

Hi ladies

I have moved over here now that I have received my official BFP last Friday. My HCG was 439 at 14 days after transfer and my retest today at 17 days after transfer was 1869. How do these numbers seem to all of you? Just wondering if they maybe high?? I am a little freaked out at the thought of having twins. I have a 2 year old daughter that we had after 3 tries of IVF back in 2002&2003. But right now we are just thrilled and still a bit shocked that we are actually pregnant again. I really didn't know if I would ever get the chance to experience this again. Still doesn't feel real yet. I am just 4 weeks now so I am really nervous yet. And no symptoms yet so sometimes I have to remind myself that I am pregnant. However, I only had mild symptoms with my daughter so am hoping for the same. I do not have a date yet for my first ultrasound but will add it as soon as I get a date. They told me 3 weeks from now. Great to be on this board and best of luck to everyone with their pregnancy!!
