Hey everyone. I had 2 embies transferred on 4/4 - a BFP on 4/13. HCG levels tested 3 times and were great. First scan was scheduled for 5/8. I had some slight spotting Saturday night with 2 small clots. I know that clots are bad so I was very upset. I had no cramping and no pain. I called my doctor and he had me go in early Sunday morning for an u/s. I saw one healthy beanie with a strong heartbeat!! I felt so relieved. The doctor seemed to act as though there is nothing to be concerned about with the spotting since the pregnancy looks good. Last night, after the u/s, I had some slight pink spotting again - only much less than Saturday.
I have been on low-dose aspirin since middle of Feb. when I started Lupron per doctor's request. When I was upset Sat. night and crying - I had a bloody nose. Also, I have been bleeding quite a bit with my progesterone shots lately. The doc told me to stop taking the aspirin - although he doesn't think that is why I was bleeding vaginally. He said sometimes the placenta can tear slightly from the uterus and cause some bleeding - or blood vessels can bleed slightly as uterus expands. In the books I am reading, it seems like this happens much later in pregnancy - not at 6 1/2 weeks.
I am wondering - do you think it is possible I was passing the other embryo? I had really high HCG levels in the beginning - enough to make everyone speculate I was having twins. I know sometimes one can "vanish". It's just a theory.
I would appreciate any insight that any of you have to offer. I am extremely thrilled that I saw the heartbeat and everything looks good, but I am still worried. I guess it is easy to believe something can go wrong after everything we have been through to get to this point.

Try not to worry too much! I know, easier said than done, right? It could be a number of things but the fact that you saw a heartbeat at 6.5 weeks is a really good sign. That, and the fact that the doc didn't seem too concerned should hopefully give you peace of mind.
Hopefully you don't have too much longer to wait until another appointment/scan. Keep and eye on things and always trust your gut. If things get worse, or don't get better than I would make sure to have another appointment soon to give yourself peace of mind.
Good luck to you! I hope everything stays positive for you
Lots of women bleed early in pregnancy - I know that's no consolation (it wasn't to me), but try and stay positive and enjoy the fact that you are pregnant!
Take it easy

I agree, Dont worry to much (easier said than done). I spotted until 10-11 weeks everday. It was very scary. I think the whole pg is going to be scary.
Thanks everyone! I feel a lot better now. I haven't had any spotting since that incident. I also researched the subject and found the same thing you all said - it is normal in early pregnancy. I was surprised by that. Anyway - I am trying to enjoy every day and focus on the positive.
All I can do is take care of myself and put the rest into fate's hands.
