Hi everyone,
I had another appointment yesterday. No US, but we did get to hear the heartbeat (142 bpm). It is amazing how much that can put you at ease.
I'm finally feeling the little pumpkin moving. It isn't a fluttery feeling, like so many people describe, more just like somebody is poking me with their finger from the inside. I can't wait to start feeling this more often. Right now it is just once or twice a day, although sometimes nothing at all.
We looked at baby stuff over the weekend which was a lot of fun. I think picking out a stroller is going to be more effort than buying our last car. There are so many to pick from! DH almost died when he saw that baby bedding costs more than what we have in our bedroom. Thank goodness we both have moms that sew. Maybe they can make some of that stuff.
How is everyone doing / feeling? Good here... just still tired. How come if I garden for an hour I need a 2 hour nap to recover? I think DH thinks I'm a very boring person right now. Oh well
It's great to hear you so cheerful.
I am so please to hear you are feeling your baby move. What a special time for you.
I also had a appointment yesterday, and I did have a US. I wish in a way that I had heard the babies heartbeat instead, as I still haven't heard it. I should have asked but they are always so busy, I don't want to trouble them.
Everything is fine for me too and I totally get what you mean about the tiredness. I am waking at 5am for a wee, then wide awake for the rest of the morning. By 3pm I am completely exhausted. I have to go to bed by 8pm as I can't keep my eyes open.
You are not wrong about the baby bedding too.
I have already bought some ibts from Babies R Us as I have seen some gorgeous bedding that's unisex.
I am so excited as I know you are too.
It's lovely to hear from you.
How is everyone else "due in October" doing?

Hi october girlies, im 15 weeks today, YEH! and we are so excited, and its only just starting to hit home that we are pregnant, mad i know but we had so much trouble getting here that we just cant believe our luck, i think that as im starting to show, and my body is becomng unrecognisable, new boobs( which hubby just adores) new belly covered in some serious hair and thighs the size of tree trunks( probably due to the fact that im eating for what seems like an army).
Im just starting to feel human again, well inbetween my numerouse naps, and cant wait to feel little one move.
Is anyone finding out what they are having?

I am so glad to see that I am not the only one with this crazy belly hair thing going on. DH asked me if I was trying to grow a winter coat.
Ahh... the joys of pregnancy.
Oh, here's a funny DH story (and this is maybe too much info...) but... At yesterday's appointment, the doc did a regular "yearly exam" since it had been about almost 18 months since the last one. DH was in the room during it and afterwards he asks me in all seriousness "So, that's pretty much just like having a throat culture done, right?" I just had to laugh. I said "Yes, honey, except duing a throat culture they don't jam a big, cold metal thing in your mouth and then crank it open til you are seeing stars." He literally cringed. It is so nice to finally have some humor through all of this.
Do you know what you are having? as i have been told that having a hairy belly in pregnancy means you having a boy.
We have our scan next sun so we will see if that is correct.
Are you feeling little one move yet?
Hi Charlie,
I hadn't heard that before about the hairy belly. But, I have thought this entire time that we are having a boy. I had a dream about him at about 14 weeks so ever since then, I keep saying "he" instead of "it" or "the baby." So now everyone else thinks they caught me slipping up and thinks we are having a boy.
We are not planning to find out what we are having. The practical side of me wants to, but I also like a good mystery. Hopefully we will not get a surprise "view" of things at our next US, which is at 21 weeks and supposed to be in a pretty in depth one.
Oh, forgot to answer that yes, I am feeling movement. Not everyday, but sometimes once or twice a day. It only lasts for about 15 seconds and feels like someone is poking me with their finger from the inside of my belly. The baby must be waking up and turning or something during those times.
Sounds like we're all going through exactly the same things. I, too have a hairy belly. But I have dreams that baby will be a girl...who knows...!!! I was devastated when the hair started accumulating - but now I'm used to it..hehhee...so it's great to hear I'm not alone. I've also been feeling movement - to me it is like fluttering - and after it happens I think - oh it was probably gas. But the other night I felt it definitively. I went to bed and dh was getting out of the shower. I put my hand on my stomach and felt a big lump - so i put my hand over the lump...and it moved! I yelled for dh - but by the time he got to the bed baby stopped. I guess it was just mommy time. I haven't felt anything like that since - but I often feel a lump like that - but it sort of just shifts away - not a movement. I was pretty excited about that though!!!!
spoke to midwife today about the hair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
she said that it will all fall off when baby is born
so DONT shave or wax or anything else
will just end up in a pile in the bed one morning i guess
hope you are all well
charlie
hiya all tis richard here
we think we have just felt baby move
charlie said it does feel a bit like bubbles in here belly kinda pushing on her belly
when i push fingers onto spot can feel very small movements on my fingers
its the most exciting thing so far i think
we are having a private scan next sunday when we should find out if we are having a son or a daughter
we are having 1 of those 4d scans which should be very intense to actually see our babys face and eyes and mouth and fingers and you get the message lol
lifes just great at the moment
love all richard
What lovely news Richard & Charlie - I still haven't felt my two move. I sometimes concentrate really hard to see if I can feel something, but it always turns out to be wind!!! How feminine.
I bet you are both so excited about the 4D scan. If you don't mind me asking, how much are they - Ball park figure???
I have been exceptionally lucky with my scans as my hospital know me from my previous ectopic rupture, so they are keeping a very close eye on me. I have had 7 scans already, but not yest seen the sex of mine. I have a scan booked for my 20 weeks which we are hoping will be able to tell the sexes.
Good luck for next sunday and I hope that it is magical for you. Will be thinking of you both.
Let us know how it goes.

hiya chelljaya
4d scans are massively expensive basicly if you want scan plus a dvd of the scan then you are looking at £150+
we are paying about £70
which is for 2d scan pictures and sexing the baby and then they show us baby on the 4d scanner but no dvd
although they did say that the baby wont be very pretty right now anyway they advise getting 4d scan much later in pregnancy when its a lot better looking
although obviously our baby will already be absolutley gorgeous
as im sure will yours too
best of luck
richard charlie
