Hi Everyone, Took up Aly's idea of a new tread. Had second scan today and got the okay for E/C on Thursday, can't believe it is really here. Got 23 follies, hopefully at least 12 will be okay for eggs on Thursday but will have to see. Sharon - How didn't you egg collection go today, I was think about you whilst at the hospital this morning. Hope everything is okay!! Bertie - Good luck for e/c on tomorrow. Gilly - How did you scan go today are you e/c later this week? Aly - Hope you are not worrying too much about hyperstimulation from what Kathryn says its not too bad, are you still up for e/c on Friday or are they bringing it forward? How many follies have you got? Hopefully you will get lots of embryo's for freezing. Michelle - Good luck of e/c on Wednesday. Lets hope that the Aug Buddies have as much luck as the July Buddies. Wishing everyone who is still sniffing lots of luck, hope everything is going okay. Fingers cross and ++++++++ve vibes for everyone Lots of Love Lynne

Hi everyone, How you all doing in this lovely weather? Lynne - I'm also having E/C on Thursday. I don't seem to have as many follicles as on previous cycles and they've taken longer to grow this time so have been feeling a bit negative today but it's probably only nerves (I really don't like being put out). Anyway its quality not quantity as DH keeps reminding me. Sharon - Hope your E/C was ok and you got some lovely eggs. Hope you've got your feet up and are being pampered. Bertie - Good Luck for tomorrow. Will be thinking of you and your follies. Michelle - Hope you are doing ok and best wishes for Wednesday. Aly - Try not to worry too much (easier said than done I know). We've definitely got to carry on where the JCB's left off with plenty of ++++ves. Best wishes to all those still sniffing & jabbing. It is getting nearer for us all! Have started the Gestone injections and dh didn't hurt me so am OK. Had a lovely day today - my friend took me out for a drive and lunch - drove into teh country in a bright red MG convertible so feel very relaxed! Just what I needed. It is all systems go for Wednesday - we go to Leeds tomorrow night and return here on Friday. With this nice weather I will sit in the garden all day, chilling out (and worrying!) I am having the FET on Wenesday not a EC. If this cycle doesn't work then it is back to the dreaded EC! Well, good luck to everyone - we can all hold hands over the next 2 weeks. We test on 22nd but I will test the day before to get me prepared for the hospital. Speak to you all on Friday sometime, when I will hopefully have 2 tiny embryos inside me (named Bod and Miffy!) Last time they were Fred & Wilma! Take care. Michelle

Hi, Michelle - Good luck for FET on Wednesday, it is so hard to remember where everyone is, plus I think the drugs are playing with my mind, tried to poison dh the other night by half cooking a frozen tuna steak, thankfully he is still living. Hope all goes well can't wait to here all about it on Friday, then we can all hold hands for 2wws. Fi - Hope your coping okay, not long until you will be on your 2ww. Anyone else this week or next for EC or FET. Lots of Love Lynne

bertie - hope all went well for you..... good luck lynne for thurs and michelle hope you'll be wearing your bikini on wed as its going to be a hot one!! would make them smile i guess. i'll find out friday if we are a go for mon, if not it will be wed, feeling alright, they are monitoring me closely since ist cycle OHSS, last time was very sick, and this time have around 35small follies so my bloods being taken lots....and trying to keep drinking the water...! anyone up for a chat sometime soon? luv fi (can't wait for 2ww)

Hi everyone, Well I had E/C yesterday, they collected 14 eggs which was good but then everything just went down hill from then on!!!! When I woke up after E/C I had really bad tummy cramps so the nurse gave me some pain killers. I then felt a little better so I got changed and sat in a chair, I then started to feel sick and when I got up to go to the toilet I felt feint. After an hour or so of lying back down I managed to eat a sandwich and they let me go home. In the car on the way home I felt sick again but I made it back to my mums house ok. I slept far a couple of hours but when I woke up I was sick!!!! My tummy pains came back and I could hardly walk. Later on in the evening I got up to go to the toilet again and I just felt all funny, like I was going to feint/cold sweat. I made sam my husband call the IVF doctor on call and he said not to woory too much just drink lots of water, have a little something to eat and some more pain killers. I tried to relx on the sofa but then my shoulders and neck started to really hurt, it sounds funny but I felt like I was paralysed, I then started to panic (and cry) so Sam rang the doctor again and he said i had to go to the hospital. I got to the hospital about midnight and they kept me in till 10 this morning. They said they didnt know what was wrong with me and that I should still be ok for E/T tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!! I feel better today, not sick or feint just my tummy is a little uncomfortable. I was sooooo positive now Im worried about E/T tomorrow. Hope everyone else is ok, I dont mean to scare anyone with my story. Bertie hope your E/C went ok today Michelle good luck tomorrow picking up Bod and Miffy! sharon - oh no honey........hope you are feeling better now. just make sure boring I know you keep up the water intake and some food in you. i have total sympathy, think my last e/c i caused a national shortage of sickbowls!! my dh laughed cos women were coming and leaving and i was still there throwing up!! i hope this time is better....??? so good luck for et, any word from embryologist yet? eat (icecreams) drink (water) and be merry (ish!!) luv fi XXX

Hiya Well I made it. I was so nervous yesterday and then something came over me and said this is what I want most in this world so shut up and get on with it! Couldnt believe it though. I'll have to ask if those sedation drugs come in a 'take out' bag. I dont remember anything. All I remember is getting on the bed in theatre and starting to take the drugs then waking up in recovery. My dh was with me all the time and he said I was talking fine! They got 11 eggs! We are well pleased. Sharon - I was getting really worried. I checked before I went to hosi and you hadnt posted, I hope you are feeling better. Good luck for e/t 2mrw. Our hosi are ringing us 2mrw to say if everything is ok. fingers xxed. Hi Everyone, Well done Sharon and Bertie lots of nice little eggs, fingers crossed for fertilization. Sharon - hope you are feeling better and ready for e/t tomorrow good luck. Can anyone advise if it is better to be put out for e/c or self administered sedation, I have been really sick with anesthetics in the past. Hi, Sharon & Bertie - Well done on those eggs. Good luck with your E/T's and then feet up and lots of rest and lots of water. Sharon, it sounds like you had a bad time, but once those embies are inside you, you'll forget all about it. Michelle - Hope everything goes ok today. How you feeling about the dreaded 2WW? Lynne - Good luck 2mrw.I've only ever had a general on my E/C's which I get really nervous about (silly I know). But at least you don't know much about it all. Do you get a choice? Well got my E/C tomorrow as well about midday, so it gives me plenty of time to worry in the morning!!! Best wishes to everyone else. Gill xx
