i start my buserelin for my fet tomorrow
i had icsi back in feb, and i was very emotional hormones flying everywhere. is it the same with fet?, cause obiously we dont need the stims. i really dont no what to expect at all. i feel like im walking into this blind. the hospital has told me i will be on the buserelin, then estrogen tablets for fifteen days. they 3 days later my transfer. that is all i no.
i have no idea how the drugs will make me react, what the tablets are for. and what happens after the transfer. i start tomorrow and dont laugh i havent got a clue. i dont think the nurses have explained things to me in detail this time round.
i hope someone will give me an in sight. and let me no what im letting myself in for.
I felt exactly the same when I had my FET. The instructions seemed really vague and it was far more lonely than a fresh cycle somehow.
But it will be fine!
The buserelin is for 4 weeks, to supress like in a fresh cycle, 2 weeks in, after a scan, you'll start the oestrogen to build up the uterine lining, after about 2 weeks you'll start progesterone supps and then 2 days later embryo transfer. It all takes about 4 and a half weeks.
As for side effects, I got the usual night sweats with buserelin. The oestrogen gave me leg aches and spots and bloating. I was much less emotional than with a fresh cycle.
It is an easier cycle than a fresh but mine felt like it really dragged - think thats because you've done it all before though.
Good luck with everything! I'm looking forward to hearing about your bfp in June
I am in the middle of a FET cycle. I started sniffing Buserlin on day 21 - one sniff four times a day. I then started bleeding 11 days later and then reduced the sniff to 1 sniff twice a day and also started taking oestrodoil tablets, one tablet three times per day. I have to take the tablets for 14-21 days and then have a scan to check the womb lining is thick enough and if all is OK my snow babies are put back. I am having the Gestone Injections and am a little worried as I have heard that these are quite painful. I used the Cyclogest on my fresh cycle.
hi karren.
i think we must be on different meds. i am on buserelin injestions untill i get my period. then i go on estrogen tablets for 15 days, three days later i have my et. what injections are you on? i never knew you could sniff busereln. did i read you right? as far as i no i think im on the same injections that i had when i had my icsi. if you havent had to give yourself an injection before, dont worry, its really easy. the worst part of the whole injection is, building yourself up to stick the dam thing in. its painless, its a tiny thin needle. though i will admit it did get a little painful during the end. my legs started to get bruised but you just keep swapping legs.dont worry. so where are you up to now? have you started your cycle yet?

hi charlie and richard.
are you on line? how are things. im so pleased for you. i bet you still cant believe it. i cant belive it everyone is pregnant. two of my friends are expecting again. i hope its my turn soon. im getting so impatient now and just wish i could say im on my 2ww. god i hope it works. i go to the hospital tomorrow to start my meds. not long now, about 4 weeks. im praying and praying it works first time.
ive really neaded someone to talk to these past few weeks.ive felt so run down and i really dont no why, ive felt like im on those stims. i really dont no whats wrong with me. i should have everything to look forward to.
i must have put on half a stone sine treatment in feb and cant shift it. and im generally looking like shit! ive got cold sores, spots and look ill. i need to start getting myself back on track as from tomorrow. so im going to go the supermarcket and get loads of fruit and veg, and some vitamins. i keep on forgetting to take my folic acid. so im faithfull taking that from today. dont get me wrong i no i sound a bit down, but im so looking forward to my treatment. it must be all this waiting driving me insane.
it would make me feel so much better to have a good old chin wag with you. i havent heard from you in ages. decided on any names yet?
I have my appointment on 11th May to check if the womb lining is thick enough and if all is ok our snow babies go back on 17th May.
I used stimming injections on my full fresh cycle of IVF and they were relatively painless but for the FET I am having Gestone Injections opposed to the Cyclogest Supposotries and apparently because the Gestone is oil based it is meant to be a little painful.
Yes, you did read right I am sniffing Buserlin, I have never been giving the option to down reg using injections although friends of mine have.
Hi Hayley, we are so excited for you and you better make sure you keep us informed every step of the way.
I still cant relax, im always having period type pains, so i keep checking for bleeding waiting for this dream to end, i really hope all is well, anyway when is it you are likely to be on 2ww?
I hope DH is taking good care of you, as it sounds as though you are quite run down, you need to pamper yourself, before those babies are inside you taking all your energy, make sure you dont work too hard during your treatment and take the 2ww off to have a few days complete bed rest , as that is what i did, and it may have helped me.
Take care hunny chat soon.
