Prissy our 1st smiling face. Congratulations. Im so pleased for you

xx

Carolyn I was meant to be at work today, but im having a bad time at the moment. I recently changed departments the new work is fine but the boss is a real nasty bit of work. My DH told me I shouldnt go in if I was getting stressed.Im going to see if the Dr will sign me off.

So me and my embies are chilling out at home. Just praying that they are still clinging on. I have moments of real positive thoughts then up pop the negative ones.

I know that feeling of wanting to yell at people :D How are you doing apart from that :?:

May Test Dates

Post by pinkiestinky »

Hi All

I wish all BFP for everyone! I am on my 2ww. My egg transfer was on Monday, Day 4 and my test date is May 15th. 10 eggs retrieved, 4 immature, 6 fertilized, 3 healthy embies transferred.

I am feeling a little cramping/bloating. This is the first time that I am experiencing it. Is anyone else feeling this way?. I have done 3 IVF w/ICSI...and I guess every cycle is surely different.

My doctor is making me wait a full 14 days. I hope the time goes by fast . I am also praying it is a positive since I have done it 4 times already :)

Hello Shannon - I know exactly how you feel. I went back to work on Tuesday and I was like this is a load of rubbish! Could not concentrate at all & most of my collegues seemed to think that I had been away on a minibreak! Like they have a clue. Not too long until your test date. I cannot believe that we have three testers on 8th. Hat-trick day.

Hi Pinkiestinky/Toni Ann - great name - I am still feeling very bloated and I had some sharp shooting pains yesterday evening. I had quite a lot of follies (13 eggs, 8 good, 2 back) so think from what I read that it may be mild OHSS. However, could have been as I had quite a busy day at work? Did not feel like AF as I usually just get dull aches. It is first time through for me so have no idea if the signs are good or bad. I tried not to think too much about the testing for the first week & tried to focus on feeling better. However, it is getting harder as every day passes

Great that we are being wished well by the infamous Lola & her October pal Jen. Have been too daunted to even consider posting on their October Cycle Buddies Thread but have read the whole thread (all 60 pages of it). It made me laugh & cry several times. It shows the massive ups & downs of the journey but also the fantastic support this group of ladies have given each other. I found it more helpful & moving than any book that you could read on this topic.

Gail - just waiting to hear?

Love Carolyn xx

8 May 2006 Test Day Anxiety

Post by SASA »

Hi girls, so glad to see so many of us have 8 May test day. :)
The wait is difficult.
I cannot resist returning to this site everyday to ease my anxiety. My mind was overwhelmed by thoughts about pregnancy. I cannot concentrate at work. I read books and websites about IVF and symptoms of pregnancy until I got bored about the topics. I just could not stop myself from doing that.
I have no symptom at all. :?
I know I shouldn't, but I bought a Clearblue home test yestaurday. I had a negative result. So depressing!
My EC was on 19 April and ET was on 21 April. I tried to comfort myself by telling myself that the test was too soon. I cannot imagine the disappointment if I really get a negative result on 8 May 2006.
Oh, my goodness, I have never imagined the wait was so hard.

Hi Jen

Only scary to post as it would feel like intruding into a very very tight knit unit who have lived through so much together. I of course now know from reading that there are 5 of you. Steph and Lola just make me weep/howl with laughter - I read their posts if I am having a bad day to pull myself together. They are just so funny. And the posts by you, Little R & Walshy are just so moving. I really meant what I said - the support that you have given each other through thick & thin is absolutely brilliant.

I am sure that there are many other who read & are cheering all five of you on from the side-lines. I would recommend it as required reading for any ivf-er and also any non ivf-er who is brave enough to try to understand what this is like.

Had egg collection on Tuesday (well my sister did  ) and we got 6 but only two fetilised. Had the two put back yesterday and have posted my test date below.

Good luck to everyone testing this month - lets hope there are lots of BFPs.
