Corinna,

We live in Tytherington which is on the way to Macclesfield about 5 miles out of Wilmslow. I use to live in Wilmslow and then Bramhall and now here. I love it as its countryside and really quiet but access closely to all areas.

We are at Manchester Fertility Services which is on Princess Parkway opposite the Royal Brewery in Moss Side. I've had 3 treatments there.
They can't give any clear reason why I miscarry other than maybe the embryos are abnormal and they don't do PGS (pre genetic screening) to determine this. I would have to go to Care in Nottingham for that.
This will be my last go in July. I think will be enough for me. It's totally messed up my periods. As it stands mine are 8 days late this month already.

In saying all that, the treatment is not so bad. I did one long protocol and 2 short ones which were so much easier. The needles don't hurt if you stick them in your tummy. If you have any fat around the middle, even better, if you pinch first it numbs and you can't feel the needle go in. So I was cool with them. I didn't have any tubby bits up until 2 years ago. I use to smoke and I quit 7 months before my first IVF. I gained 2 stone to which I have now lost 1 stone and working on the other one. I exercise 5 times a week at the gym to help me with my cardio and it definitely helps me recover from the IVF. At MFS you have the EC by general anaesthetic and the BUPA hospital require your resting heart rate to be below 80 before the will discharge you. First time I was there until 6pm waiting for it to drop but on my 2nd and 3rd go (after going back to working out regularly) my heart rates recovered quickly and I was let out at 2pm which was brilliant.

I know the first time is scary but as long as you take it one day at a time. Keep as calm as possible when you are been treated and you will be fine. You might be the lucky ones that just fly through it, get pregnant first go. I really hope you are.

July is so far but so close, I am excited and scared too, had another chat with my boss about taking time off, she was great, I ended up in tears but she was great, so much better than the last boss. So I am feeing good about that, I am sure the work stress caused me stress last time......

Life style looking good, this time so surely BFP will follow!!!!

Nicki,

July is so close really. I hope I'm still doing it then. My AF is 12 days late already this month. Don't know what's happened as they were around 28-30 days for the last few months. It's highly unlikely that I could have been pregnant as DH's reversal failed 2 years ago but I checked anyway and it was negative. Now I am really confused... Hope it's not early menopause or something like that. Desperate for it to start so I can move on.

Hi Jen, hope you get the go ahead with ur DR to start stimming in July, I am doing IUI just worked out it should be around the 8th July...

Macca, last month i was 10 days late, did hpt, -ive and then the next day af came, they say that if u normally are on time and then late it probably means u just didnt ovulate that month, once a yr every woman doesnt ovulate, that probably true as once a year I have a long cycle......

I am about 28-31 days normally.... On;ly ever once had 27....

So now I have 2 more Af's till tmt, sounds so close huh???

Hi girls

Well had a crap appointment with the Doc. She is so lovely and understanding though. Basically she can't understand why i have not had a proper AF this time and once i explained that it was only spotting i was ushered into the loo for another pregnancy test. As we thought it was still bfn but its amazing for a few second how you start to hope it might be positive. Anyway she answered lots of questions and feels this cycle was really good as we had great Grade 2 embies, 7 and 8 cell. She has said its just a case of "keep trying". As if we didn't know that one eh?
Anyway she then decided to scan me to check out the cyst but low and behold Jen has no cyst, its my b****y stupid tube. On my left side the tube is curling round where my follies grow and there is some fluid in it so i have to go back in 5 weeks for another scan. If its not gone then i have to have a Laparoscopy to remove this tube. So i burst into tears, not bothered about the op although i could do without it. All i could think about was months rolling by before i could do the Big 3.
Basically if its gone i can cycle again round about August, if not then it will be about October--------------life is just s**t.

So loods like a defo for not being with you girls in July
Sorry for feeling so down, hope everyone is ok and good luck

Love Jen x

HI all. Hi Jen, I'm really sorry to hear your news. I've had a laparoscopy and it wasn/t anything too major. Just think it's all for you to help you get that BFP!! Hang in there.

Hello other July folk. I have to phone the clinic when my AF comes in June and start 2nd IVF treatment. I have no idea when my next AF is due because I don't know if my AF that came at my BFN was a real one or if it takes a while for them to get back to normal. I'm so hoping that we get some frozen embies this time.
Speak to you all again soon

Hiya girls,

Jen I will probably end up following you into August. I'm still waiting for AF...I'm at least 14 days late now, I think! To be honest stopped counting as cold came on last week and have had yucky runny nose and coughs to contend with. Hubby says I am rubbish patient. So all AF's will be put back now and next treatment will be god knows when.

Paula...Welcome on board. Is this your 2nd IVF?? Sorry to see you had BFN.

Hi everyone,

It's great to see new additions to the July buddies. According to UK fertility guru Dr Robert Winston, he claimed in his documentary "The human body" that summer months are the best time to make babies...here's hoping that's true for us all.

My AF turned up with vengence this morning. Never had a period take so long to arrive. Never mind at least it's here and I can get on with it. Mind you I hope it doesn't keep doing that every month.
