Thank you all for your lovely wishes.

I remember reading about inspirational stories when TTC and they always helped me stay positive. It is now really strange being one of those stories myself.

I do hope that it helps at least one person to keep trying and to achieve their own miracle.

Love to you all

Hi Alison,

Can't help you with scans in London, I had mine done in Nottingham at a company called Proscan (only 30 mins from me). But I do know that a couple of the other girls have talked about a clinic in Harley St. Sorry, not sure of the name. If you have had IVF before at a clinic near where you are, they may agree to do the scans for you. I am sure if you ring round, you will find someone willing to assist you.

Maybe one of the other gilrs will come up with a name for you. Are you seeking donor tmt abroad also?

Good luck

Hi everyone,
Still suffering through the dreaded 2ww. Got our first call today from our Foster Care agency. They had 2 little boys 11 mos. and 4 years whose mom has been on parole for quite awhile for cocaine and vicodin addiction as well as child neglect and her parole was being revoked today. The father is nowhere in the picture and there is no other family that are able to even temporarily care for them let alone long term. My heart really wanted to take them but we had to say no. We have a room all ready as a nursery but taking them both now would mean running out and buying him not only a bed but toys and books and not to mention the panic I had over how I was going to explain to him where his mommy went and why he had to come live with us. We've been really geared up for a baby or even a toddler or both but a 4 year old is very aware of what is happening it we just didn't think we were prepared to properly handle that situation. So we declined and will anxiously await the next call.
Debra,
Hows your wait going?

Alison
I am currently undergoing tmt with egg donor in Barcelona. My clinic in UK have agreed to do my scans. It is Queen Mary's Hospital in Roehampton, Surrey. Have you had previous tmt at a clinic near home? Maybe you could ask them to do your scans?
The Lister in London will also do scans if you have a consultation with their dr. I was trying to get one organised when my clinic closed down for a while. They were very helpful too.
Where are you going for your egg donor?
Good luck

Lisa, hope your wait is speeding by. Not long to go for you now.

Tough call on the 2 boys. I guess it's not unlikely that it will be exactly that kind of situation that will present itself. I hope you get another offer very soon. You just know it's all going to happen at once don't you :) Years ago, my aunt was finally approved for adoption having ttc for years, and yes you've guessed it, was pregnant by the time the baby arrived and so she has 2 very closely aged kids and always has to explain!

I've been incredibly busy. Some work, some exam prep, getting the house ready for my mum's 4 day visit, an 8 person family dinner on Friday and a 24 person garden party for DD's 3rd birthday on Saturday. I threw myself totally into the whole thing and prepared mountains of food from scratch, baked 3 huge cakes, moved furniture, shifted garden seating and benches and ran around like a mad thing on the day. We've also had stunning weather, just amazingly warm for this time of year when it's not unheard of to still have snow. So I've been pleasantly distracted. I had some slight fluttery feelings on Friday or Saturday which could have been something or nothing. Boobs very slightly tender but that could be pre-AF so who knows?? who ever knows??

Hope everyone's feeling good now that spring has even reached up here, we have croci and daffodils finally - yep, that's how behind we are on the seasons.

Well, looking for the positives, at least I didn't have to wait until test day to know this round has failed. AF is doing her 'very slow and a week early' start, just like last month. This means our 2+ year journey is finally over. I know we didn't stand a chance this last time really but still, we'd both hoped just a tiny bit.

I've been trying to prepare for this moment but am not sure how it's actually going to be. I'll let you know at some point.

Good luck to everyone preparing for treatment, or waiting to test (Lisa). I won't fade away immediately and will pop in from time to time to see how you're all doing.

hugs
Debra.

Hello friends,

Not getting my updates on this thread. Had to go back 3 pages to catch up. I'll ask Marcus what gives. I used to get a notice anytime someone wrote anything on this thread. ????

Anyway, had 3rd scan and blood draw today. 7 follies on the right, 5 or 6 on the left. Only 6 out of all are of any size, but they are steadily growing. They are happy with my estrogen level. Rising very well. Looks like EC will happen on day it was scheduled - Friday.

Twice I've had to do shots in my car in a parking lot at night. Can you tell this is round #5 for us? We just pack up the drugs and keep going.

Best wishes Lisa! So happy for you to be on your 2ww.
Congratulations Nuala!!!! FANTASTIC to hear!!!!!

Hi Debra,
I saw you are similar to me, having a much younger husband. I had just failed one cycle also but I felt that was normal even for a much younger woman.
Anyway, I do not want to change your mind of stop trying, but I do want to convince you and everyone else in our thread to practice yoga, because it helped me a lot to get over my depression - I only practiced three times (1h each) and already felt energetic and hopeful! I was into yoga 14 years ago before I arrived US. However, I slowly let the busy life takes over my time for yoga. Now, I am glad that I have picked up again with the hope to balance my body, to clean my system, and to get ready for the next round of FET. I made my RE to promise to take me in (the cut off age is 44 here at my clinics, I will be 44 after if I fail again!) if I can not get greg after using up all my embies - we have 13 now and we are going to try two more FET and then another fresh. After that, we will contact adoption agencies.
Thanks, Randa, I saw that you add my name in the list while writing this.

Just popping in quickly tonight.

Debra, I am so sorry to see that you feel things have not gone well this time. It is hard, I know, when AF starts to rear her ugly head. As you did also, I had hoped against hope that there was a slight glimmer that this transfer would be successful. Look after yourself and DH, and you know that if you need any of us for support we will be here for you.

Take care,

Lol Bev xxx

Debra,
I'm so sorry you got your period. I think I will be right behind you. I did a HPT today and it was negative. I know it's still possible but most of my other "positive failures" were pos. on a HPT by now. This is it for us too and I have very mixed feelings about it right now. 36 hours before my beta. Not long now.
Randa,
Keep growing those follies! Best of luck on Friday collecting all those healthy eggs.

Hugs,
Lisa
