Sunshine for all...especially La Lola  (as requested)

How are you all feeling?

Jen: Good for you.... look fabulous...who cares about sheets and personal smell  Wow, you've been married forever  Hope you're in less pain (leg of course, not marriage!). I agree Matthew Fox is quite the hottie  . Please no spoilers, I haven't even finished season 1 yet

Lola, love: so back to the books and next "-----" looming. I haven't touched your superb list as nothing to change for me...as you say waiting until 6 May. Really enjoying the House of Spirits... DH bought me another of her novels on his NY trip...Sorry only medical textbooks for you. I feel for your sincerely  . Cheese...way to go to spice up your dreamlife...please share any other rivetting dreams  I am sending you PMA to handle studying....

Walshy....hugs coming express your way :D

Steph: Octobud.... how's it going? I am still recovering from my disappointment over Grey's season finale   I can't even find a transcript to read about the cliffhanger  Please no spoilers for Lost or mark it up very visibly  Your new series "What about Brian" sounds like heaps of fun...doubt anything as controversial will be broadcast out here.
Sorry stupid question is the flair like a short protocol (no downregging?). I had the short protocol my last time around. I only had 9 eggs so the Dr thought I should downreg this time around.
Hey buddy, please could you please wave your magic wand in my direction and make my negative thoughts disappear too? It seems to work for you....so tell me your secret

Camilla....are you tanning? what colour are the toes? You should definitely watch Grey's if you can...I second Steph....oozes sexiness!
Sending you more rays...as to tan properly you definitely need more than a jacket coming off :D
Injector is great, but to be honest not entirely convinced that I am using it correctly...it seems that hardly any liquid comes out. I have checked the instructions a dozen times and I am doing everything by the book...it just seems as if the amount of liquid in the pen never moves  I'll check again today...otherwise it's really dead simple.

Will be glad when DH returns from Korea.... it's a touch lonely here despite the sun, the great books and movies. Yesterday I watched a sweet (non-mentally taxing) chick flick "The Wedding Date" with another hottie, Dermot Mulroney. Perfect for IVF consumption...I feel half crazed during IVF, not my usual self

Anyhoo....have a lovely day..

Much love,

Little R

Hello My Sweet Potatos!

It is another day of weather perfection where I am, and of course stuck in cubeland again... Curses!

Yu' all need to calm down about the Lost spoilers.... I don't watch it anywhos.. so you will get nuthin from me. I tried a couple of times to watch.. but couldn't keep me hooked, neither could Desperate Housewives for that matter. ???? However, Littles- if you would like me to tell you how season 1 of Greys ends I can.. it was very scandlicious.

Attention, Attention Exercisers or even Exerciser wanta-bees... I took a new class that is becoming very popular... it is called Urban Striptease.. yep, you got it... you learn how to move like a stripper.. no actual removal of clothes.. but very sexy dirty. My friends literally dragged me to it by bribing me with dinner and frozen alcoholic beverages afterwards. I did not want to go and embarass myself.... but it was a blast of fun. And the cherry on top was that it was a killer workout. my quads, thighs and buns were killin me for 2 days afterward. I do alot of yoga and step so my legs are in pretty good shape..... Of course there is one danger- your hubby will insist on a private viewing when you get home... I have told mine I need more practice first!! Anywho's - want a fun workout.. this is it. Not sure if it is sweeping any other place?? Girls? I would think you could get a dvd though???

RRR's- a fair cycle is a very short d-regging (atleast I am assuming that when you girls say that you mean the drugs that shut everything down, mine is Lupron) then a higher amount of follicle stimulators. The doc said that since I had such a low response last time that this should give me a jumpstart!! Pow Baby!

Sorry noodles,,, gotta jet. be back later.

Have a question for my sunshines because DH returns tomorrow and will be very disappointed if I don't ask....
It's his question to you really
(he thinks you're all fabulous and asks about you constantly....you have really become a part of my life)

Before and during your cycles, to what extent did you do everything by the book?
Did you stop drinking coffee, stop eating chocolate & sugars (like the West suggests), drink more than 2l of water a day, drink no soda, eat completely healthily?

DH thinks I am taking things way too seriously  and that I should try and stop putting more pressure on myself

The thing is, I'd do anything to get this to work....

Your thoughts please my Octopals...

:? Hi girls

Yep, no smiley face, am in a low one and cant pull myself up again. I stayed off work, which is not like me one bit and can't seem to get motivated. Just want to get on with the Big 3 and have a baby. Went into the over 40 group and can't believe what they have been through, that gave me a kick in the butt. I just pray i won't have a list of treatment and fails beind my name, i felt so sorry for them, which they would probaby hate------amazing women.

Steph - Sounds like you and your dh are going to have some fun with your new moves
Any side affects from you Lupron yet? I didnt take that drug but am one of the lucky ones cause the side affects didnt make much of an appearance.

Little R - Tell your dh to stop worrying. I did everything, the acup, stopped drinking, stopped coffee, drank green tea, stopped soda then drank gallons of water and tried to eat healthily plus walked a lot. Do wht you feel comfortable with my lovely. I wanted to do everything so if it didnt work at least i knew i had tried my best. Your doing fine, remember all these positive steps will help lead you to your baby.

Well Lola - Did you tune into Lost. Was fab and not one but two episodes, i drooled over Mr Fox for two hours  .What have you been up to today. When do you get your exam results, cant remember if you've told us this?

Walshy - Am thinking of you lots. How are you feeling my wee Bud?
We're here waiting for you when you feel ready to have a chat. Hugs

Have downloaded some music for my ipod, Dirty Dancing, might give me a boost-----maybe Steph should have this for her stripping

Away to get weighed tonight, please no more bad news

C ya

Girls Gone Wild!!

Hey bunnies. Whats the haps? ...

back into office after lunch and ready for a little snooze... I am cutting the caffeine for impending cycle........ crankiness alert!

Little R- turtledov luv! Here's what I know from McEmby- he is adamant about NO caffeine, take a multivitamin with folic acid and 64 oz of water/day. The water is especially important according to him and for the life of me I can't remember why he said it was so important. He is also very cranky about exercise... not even allowed to go on brisk walk. I really struggle with that. I hate feeling like a slug.. especially when hormones are kicked up a notch.. the workouts help my rage problem! But, here is my advice for you... if doing all that makes you feel better and lessed stressed do it... if it makes my R bug tense and uptight, I say only do the basics! water, multivitamin and no caffeine.

Jen- Hello miss rain on her parade! Don't you hate those days where you are in a funk... it's the pits. But sometimes it can be glorious to be in a bad mood and wallow in misery for the day... how's your going? Good luck on weigh-in.. although getting on a scale NEVER makes me chipper. I have not begun the Lupron yet... May 24th.

Lola- where's my sweet, sweet luv machine? Step away from the books! They only increase your knowledge, which is only ever trouble! I go for the what you don't know can't hurt you option.. ignorance is bliss my friend!

Walshy- I miss you sweetlips! Hurry back, dump the houseguests, they only lead to cleaning and cooking!

Camilla- hows it?

Hi Ladies,

Well the monster that has taken over my body is still with me but was determined to log on and say HI.

There must be something in the air as we all seem to have caught a bought of the 'why me' blues. I have a nasty case of it at the moment and nothing that my DH can do seems to snap me out it. I keep asking myself why can't we have children as easily as everyone else. I am trying to think positive for next time but I was doing our finances and I don't know if there will be a next time. This financial year alone has cost over 10k on all procedures. Our government actaully pays you know 4K to have a child so everyone seems to be having them.

I am very disheartened at the moment and am glad that I am not the only one feeling this at the moment (I am not glad you guys are feeling it but glad we ar all together on the same page). I also have a feeling that one of my close friends is pregnant and she knows about my IVF and just can't tell me.

On a good note my house guests have gone and I have told my DH that I want no more guests for a long time I can not handle them. I also do not want any people around that are pregnant or have babies under 2. It is way to hard to digest at the moment.

Little R - I didn't change a thing during my 2ww as i thought most ladies do not even know they are pregannt during this first 2 ww so our bodies must be able to handle normal day to day things. I didn't pick up heavy things or anything like that but I ate normally. Do what feels best for you.

Lola - When are all your exams over? I do not think that I could ever study again. Not that I did much 'studying' at school more socialising... Have I got this right you will be a Dr when finished. Sorry I really should be a blonde.. I read everyones post and then have to go back and re-read them to catch up thoroughly.

Steph - Urban Striptease who would of thought that stripping can do so much for the body. No wonder all strippers seem to be skinny maybe I should take it up. Although we don't have $1 bills over here anymore and I would hate to think where my husband would have to put the 1 ands 2 coins LOL.

Jen - I got you hugs and thanks for those....Congrats on 14 years lets hope by 15 your holding a little baby wouldn't that be a nice presentl You could even use that present for you anniversay, fathers day and valentines day....

Camilla - It's good to have you back so when exactly are you due? Now that you are pregnant do you still wonder about painting your toenails etc for you appts or don;t have time anymore...

On the news this morning a University in Adelaide did some research on acupunture and IVF and how it increases your chances at IVF. I will try and post the link here if not I will send it on a PM. Thought you guys might be interested.

Hi Flower Power!

Just a quickie to say that I am hitting the road again for the next 3 days... Lake conference fun. Hopefully I will get lucky and the hotel will have free wireless internet and I can check in on my crazies!

Walshy- so good to have you back luv. Cheer up sweets! It will happen. In the meantime, do all the things that preggos don't get to do. Lose weight, exercise your buns off, wine and sushi up! Enjoy having your body for yourself.

Octoshines..... boy, I would really like to invite you all over to my place for a chat.....desperately need some fun...I was never like this my first time round. I wish I could ooze PMA...but today I am too tired to muster any up  I have different meds from last time and I think that they make me more tired...
Additionally, this Pen is a real mystery. I can't understand it....never had any trouble with self-injecting my first 6 rounds using regular syringes...and now this pen. It's confusing...as there is still liquid in it despite having supposedly used all of the 450IU up... I don't get it!
Sorry   vent over!

Welcome back sweet Walshy....I feel for you....I really do....I think it's great that you have a ban on house guests and a ban all pregnant women and children (sorry Camilla  ). I am for letting the air out of their pram tires  at the moment.....
I wish I could blow your gloom away....thinking about you lots....

Jen...good luck with the weight loss...you'll do it with your level of motivation. How's your leg? Still on the painkillers? Was LOST season 2 good then? Thanks for telling me about your experience....I have been doing pretty much everything the West says since October with no relent and I would really like to break some of those rules  I know what you mean about wanting to do everything so it will work....
What dose of the pen were you on? I'm on 75IU with a 450IU pen.... the weird thing... after 6 days (6x75=450) there will still remain meds inside. Is this normal?? I KNOW that I have done everything correctly by the book.... it's too weird and rather worrying. I have never had any trouble before with my meds...anyhoo...

Steph...the sexy stripper...wow... I better not tell my DH about your new class... he'll be jealous of your DH  Good for you...so when do we get to see your new moves  ? When you are back from your fishing expedition? You sound upbeat
Thanks for your advice concerning Dos and Donts

Lola love...where art thou? Get your head out of your books and come and play

Must dash...dinner needs to be cooked

Love to you all,

Hi Buds

Well another 4 houses and still didn't like any. DH still wants to go for the new build but not sure.
Have been feeling so down in the dumps, hope they pass soon. Just want to get my scan over with so we know what direction we are heading. Part of me is hoping for no op so we can do the Big 3 and another part wants the op so the tube is sorted and i wont have the risk of fluid which could affect my embies, oh i hate all this waiting.

Walshy - not talking to you today, i'm blonde. Still sending your hug though. I know what you mean about the baby thing, its horrible seeing others with everything you want and most take it for granted. Keep that chin up, we'll get there.

Little R - Don't have any drugs at home now so can't remember what kind of pen apart from it was Gonal F. I was on the highest dose, 300. You seem to be on much more, i wonder why the highest dose in the UK is 300 and you can have more?? I found that there was always a small bit of fluid left in the pen as we thought we were doing it wrong at first. I'm sure its all fine, you are great to be able to do it yourself, i tried once but wimped out. Just 2 sleeps until you see all your lovely follies.

Steph - Safe travels my friend, find that computer and don't leave us too long.

Loopy - How's it swinging girl. What have you been up to today? When are the results in?

So what does everyone think of the 62 year old woman who had ivf in Rome and is now 7 months pregnant? Answers on a postcard please.

PS -The coffee and chat at Little R's house sounds great. Since your dh likes us so much get him to send all the tickets over and we'll see you at the wekend

Nos Da angels

and firstly, Jen?? Tattooed, St Tropezed AND blonde   DON"T SHOOT!
house hunting - a sack o erse with an erse flavoured bon bon stuck on top. Take your time my sweet.
So... what can we do to remove the gloom cloud above your locks? Apart from the obvious  As far as fallop is concerned THINK SHRINK and the fluid will woosh away - medical fact. Well, in some worlds. As for the 62 yr old... I've always been a live a life kind of person but man! its just seems a bit rude given our situations. And you're right, you'd think a 62 yr old uterus is pretty ropey ( a do-er upper eh Jen  ) BUT it does give hope to all on the boards and you can't sniff at that.
And I agree, coffee at R's courtesy of Monsieur R

Little R - Greys is on TV tonight, I've missed 2 episodes though. Seems like you're panicking about the injections - why not give the doc a ring, put your mind at ease. So you can concentrate on McDreamy
As for La West vida of abstention - I gave up coffee - remember the 12 step? and took Folic acid but i reckon if it makes you think you've done your best and given it your best shot - do the whole shabang, its peace of mind. Can't wait for your scan result - Eggs Eggs Eggs chant it!!!

Stripper Steph - oooh mama! Sounds top! Can't believe you're off AGAIN  is it turtle surfing this time or more Trout pouting

Walsheroo - sorry you're feeling down - it seems your penchant for getting naked has inspired our steph - dirty girl. The why me blues... sweetheart, it will feel better than this. Its completely reasonable to feel disheartened but y'know theres always a way around these things.
Good for you on house guests issue - you need some space.
My exams... nah, I'm a doctor already, qualified a billion years ago before the dawn of antibiotics and "doctor patient rapport" these exams are to become a specialist. Or not, eh :D

Well indeed Ronan, life truly is a rollercoaster. Brace! Brace! I am about to vent.....
Ican'tstudy,myjobistoobusy,ihavetoomuchresponsibility,i'mscaredaboutexamaaaaarrrrgggghhhhhhh

Do you ever get those weeks where you feel you're not on top of anything? Stop the world, I want off for a breather.

Yes, so. The relentless ass that is work-eat-sleep continue amigitas. I am away on a revision test course (I wish it was a extreme makeover type body revision course - get my legs extended and my teeth embossed with platinum) all next week with zip diddley computer access! The suckage just got suckier :D Even when I'm adopting a glass half full approach it promises to be a week of Hi Drama and Palpitations as I fight my way around the wards with a posse of arrogant "oh, but I don't know anything - whats that? Yes Sir the 673 causes of Jaundice are as follows in alphabetical order"...AAARRRGGHHH My plan is to stand at the back with fellow nerds and make farty noises. And steal the patients chocolates. For purely health reasons you understand.
I feel exhausted just thinking about it......Concentrate on the mini bar young lola

right budolas, off to watch Greys

Take it easy, sleazys (you know who you are)
