Hey guys, I'm new to the forum!! This is my first shot with IVF. I have PCOS and I am set for tranfer on Monday!! I have 6 fertilized eggs and doc will put 2 in!! I am really worried about it not working, but I am trying to trust God and let him take control!! Anyone else having transfer this week and want to share the awful 2 week wait with me????

Hi Suzie

I had my transfer Tuesday. I have taken off work until Friday and am trying to rest as much as possible. I just went out this morning to have accupuncture. I had three FET put in. This is my second try, I did a fresh cycle in Feb/March with ICSI with three also put in but not lucky. I hope this is the one.

Let me know how you are feeling and how you are spending the time. At this moment I can't report any change of feelings to my body.

I saw your post and totally agree about the waiting. I had my blood drawn this morning and I am waiting for a call regarding the test results. I am SO NERVOUS!! Good Luck to you!!

Thanks girls!! Lisa please post and let me know your results, I am praying for good news!! Foster--I don't know what I am going to do to pass the time except try and take it easy and PRAY A LOT!!! Good Luck!! I don't transfer untill Saturday!!

I hope it is ok if I join you.. I started lupron on Tuesday and we are starting stims for first IVF 05/16/06 hoping to do retreival and transfer 05/24.
Suzie I also have PCOS and have many failed clomid and than IUI and injection cycles.. Did you have any problems with IVF. The only thing i heard is sometime PCOS girls react too well and get cancelled cycles..
You are all ahead of me but hopefully we will all have great success..

Hi Suzie and everyone else,

I'm new to the group also and also new to IVF. I had 8 failed IUI's (I have an insufficient hypothalmus and don't produce estrogen). It only took 3 IUI's for my 3 1/2 year old daughter. I go for my egg retrieval tomorrow 5/12 and probably my egg transfer Monday, so I'm right there with you. I'm glad to be on with those waiting also. I plan to take the week off work (I only work part time). I am going to do 4 days of bedrest even though my dr's said 2 was fine and to take it easy the 3rd. I'd stay in bed for 2 weeks if I knew it would work!!!!! Suzie, when did they do your egg retrieval? Are they doing the transfer on day 5? They told me expect day 3 unless there were issues with my eggs. I'm a little nervous about the quality of my eggs. We are doing the ICSI, so hopefully that helps with the fertilization.

Good luck and baby dust...I am like you and my doctor told me 2 days bed rest but I am planning on a weak.. I just want to veg on the TV with Oprah and pray and pray..
Have you ladies heard of the watter bottle theroy?? Something about keeping your belly warm.. At this point I would stand on my head if someone said it would work..

do you know how many they will put back in? Is Saturday a 3 day or 5 day transfer for you?

Well, had my egg retrieval today and told we have 5 eggs, but just found out only 2 are possibly salvageable (the eggs are bad), and it didn't sound good for those. The dr sounded like we should cancel, but DH wanted to go ahead with the ICSI. I'm really in shock right now. I am 34 and have already had a child, so don't know why my eggs are so bad. Anyone with experience with this?

I have only done IUI's this will be my first IVF so I can not say I have had exact experience..
With the IUI's did you do the injectibles or just clomid? If the injectibles the meds they gave you this time were the same right? Did you notice a large change in the #'s of follies (meaning how were they with the IUI's)

Try to stay positive.. you only need 1 and since 2 are good try to keep good thoughts..

I did the injectables also with the IUI's and had probably close to the same amount of eggs. Unfortunately they 2 eggs left are not good ones and he said even if they do fertilize, there are slim chances I would get pregant. Sorry I'm so negative right now, but I'm not in a good place. Still in total shock!!!

so when you did the IUI you also had 5? I know that right now you are upset and you should not feel upset about being negative.. We will be positive for you.. Try to relax and keep in mind you only need one.. You have gotten pregnant so your eggs are good and they can work...

Good luck tomorrow Suzie. I did end up with one egg to transfer tomorrow. Not sure what the quality it is, will find out tomorrow. So, I at least have a sliver of a chance. Keep me posted on how things go.

Quick question
I am looking for some advice.. I am on Lupron (from last Tuesday) and from what I belive it was suppose to stop AF from coming.. Well she is here with full strength. Will this IVF be a wash or do they just do different meds? Any help would be great.. I will also call the doctor tomorrow but of course I will actually have to sleep tonight and wait for them to open..

No, the lupron does not stop you from having your period. It down riggs your system, but you still have your period, then a short while later, you will start the stimulating drugs that start your eggs growing. Hope this helps and thanks for the good thoughts.
