Hi You replied to my mail a few weeks ago. I explained I was awaiting confirmation for ICSI. My Partner has received a letter this morning stating the chances of natural conception are very slim and the only route now is ICSI. You said in your mail that you fell pregnant on your first attempt of ICSI - Can you give me some info on how they did it and the costs e.t.c

Since reading some info on the internet the chances of becoming pregant seem very slim with ICSI or am I wrong!

Cheers
Nikki
Hi Nikki

Thanks for starting a new thread for me. To be honest the clinic I went to for ICSI there was a 25% success rate of it working. My Dh had low sperm count and they like yourself recommended me for ICSI. It varies from clinic to clinic where you go but ours cost £3000 where are you from?

ICSI is very similar to IVF to be honest, I was put on injections to make my follicles grow and to get me to produce enough but not to many. They got 12 follicles and out the 12 follicles I had 7 eggs and out the 7 eggs only 5 was suitable for fertilisation. 2 Fertilised and I had them put back and one survived.

When I had ET I was advised by my clinic I must not bath and I must not go swimming so I didn't. They say the reason for this is because they put like something to get the embies to stick and if I had a bath it would of losended it.

I also was advised why I was injecting to take 75mg of Aspirin and to drink 2 litres of water per day which I done.

Nikki please if you need to ask me anything else please feel free to.

I do come on here everyday, I am also a member of www.may-b-baby.co.uk which is also a nice site to go on.

Love
Shell.
xx
