confusion

Post by kellyeatc »

ok..so i had my transfer on the 29th, two HPT later(both negatives) and spotting convinced me i was not pregnant.(i even posted on here that i was so sure i was -ive) Imagine my surprise when the doctor called to inform me on the 10th that i had a positive beta and was pregnant. I took another test on the 12th and am awaiting the doctor's call regarding the lab results. here is where the confusion kicks in, i have taken 2 additional HPT and both say negative, i also have had some heavier random spotting. has anyone out there besides me been told that they are pregnant and yet had home tests show up negative? this confusion is hard for my DP and i to handle...I sorta assumed that if i had a positive beta that the HCG would be high enough for a HPT to pick it up considering i am about 6 days past AF due date..
Any info would be helpful
thanks

I would say that it is very unlikely that you get a false positive from the doctor!! so congratulations

Kelly,

Hi and congratualtions on your good news. the doctors beta is accurate not the HPT's. What are your beta numbers??? Random spotting is usually normal as well, some women have spotting around the time of their period so it may be just that but if you are really concerned i would contact my DR.

Best of Luck,

Vita
