Hi Everyone,
I started cramping yesterday and then started to bleed heavy.
Went for emergency ultrasound and saw a little heartbeat at 6weeks 0days.
Doctor said it could be a clot from implantation, that makes me bleed.
They want to see me again in one week.
I am still scared. Did anyone else have that?
THANK YOU.
REGINA
Sorry to hear about the bleeding . But keep your chin up, its probably just like the doctor says, a bit of implantation associated bleeding. Try and stay positive
Thinking of you,

The exact same thing happened to me. I had some bright red bleeding and passed two little clots. I was 6 1/2 weeks when it happened. I was terrified. My doctor got me in the very next morning for an ultrasound and everything looked great. He did not mention implantation as a reason. He said most are unexplained but since every thing looked fine he wasn't worried. I had a follow-up u/s a week later and everything is still great!
I did some research on the net about vanishing twins and read that sometimes, if you have twins, one can miscarry - it's very common and most women never know it happened. I had two embies put back and my HCG levels were very high in the beginning - but only one showed on the ultrasounds. We are very, very happy about our one little beanie and I haven't had one bit of bleeding since that night.
I understand completely how you feel - but know that bleeding in early pregnancy is very, very common (yet still scary!).
Hang in there - I am sure everything is fine!!

I also had the same thing happen to me and I'm carrying twins, turned out to be the triplet sac that did not have a fetal pole, baby never formed. There were originally 3 embies that we decided to implant. I had some bleeding the other day and DH and I went to the ER, it turned brown..went to my OB DR and he told me that both babies looked fine and to stay off my feet..no cooking, etc for 1 week. I informed him that I was pratically that way, however I did get out more while my mother was in town...a little to much..so now I'm accepting the fact that I'm home and bedridden for the remaining 5 1/2 mths. DH bought me a chinese tile game called Majohng...and a video game to play which will probably take me about 2 mths to beat.......I also had some cramping..DR said that my Uterus is stretching so I will have alot of pressure, back pain, and abdominal pain just keep my legs elevated as much as possible to help relieve the pressure.

Hi friends. Well, I had my repeat ultrasound yesterday just to check and see how things went. I went for my first one at 7 weeks and the baby measured about a week behind at 6 weeks, 1 day. Yesterday, it measured 6 weeks 6 days (I was 8 weeks 3 days) but no heartbeat. I have an appointment with my regular OB later this week to determine how to proceed. I am trying to accept the miscarriage as a blessing. God just knew that this baby was not going to be normal. I am somewhat thankful that I never heard a heartbeat at all. It doesn't really make the situation any easier, but if I had heard my baby's heartbeat first and then nothing, I feel like it would have been much worse.
I am going to take a break from the message board for a while but I will check in from time to time to see how everyone is doing. Forunately, we have 2 embryos frozen and can try again with FET in a few months, so maybe I can come back with some good news.

Lisa, thank you for your answer. I only had one embryo put in, so I could not be loosing a twin.
I am hoping for the best. I am going back in a week, so will see.
A heartbeat rate was over 100 and they said its great for 6 weeks.

AMD - so sorry to read about what you have been through. Have a nice, long, relaxing break, and can't wait to hear about your little frosties later on. Take care.

I had this kind of bleeding with my first pregnancy and now this one as well....In my case these were called subchorionic bleeds or subchorionic hematoma's.....Dr's do not know why this happens, but it occurs when there is a bleed from under the placenta....This bleed was very small this time....in most cases these heal on their own....Dr's should have the ultrasound techs measure the bleed and the follow up ultrasound to determine if the bleed is healing or in some cases getting larger....With my last pregnancy I had two small bleeds at the same time....It was bright red blood with the passing of two small clots - the bleeding slowed down after a couple hours and then I spotted til they both healed - mostly brown which is dried blood....Instructions following these cases is usually resting with feet up for 4 days - 1 or 2 weeks depending on size etc....As long as there is no reoccurance of bright red blood, you can rest that you are healing....Refrain from sex and vigourous exercise, also drink lots of water as this helps in the healing process.....Please PM me if you would like further information
Impantation bleeding is usually only some light spotting of brown blood - not bright red blood...

Hi Jamato,
Thank you very much for your info. I think I have what you had.
I am having secon ultrsound to see if it got smaller or bigger.
Do you know if it has any effect on the pregnancy?
Where in Massachusetts do you live?
I am from Newton, Mass.
Regina
I live in Wilmington, MA (Just north of Woburn) If it heals there is no effect on the pregnancy... If it gets better it can pose a threat but normally most of them heal - and if you have not had constant red blood (fresh blood) then I believe it is probably healing....Blood color can range, brown is dried or old blood, dark red is old blood, and pink spotting are all acceptable....as long as it is not gushing out...sorry if TMI
