CYOT- Congratulations!!! I am so happy for you. That is such wonderful news! I hope you and your husband do something special to celebrate.

I got my daily embryo update this morning. (I actually sleep with the phone next to my pillow, so I don't miss the call!) As of today, we have 4 excellent, 1 good and 1 poor. Yesterday it is was 4 excellent and 2 average. It may seem silly, but I am so proud of my little embryos! They are growing so well!

My husband did my first intramuscular progesterone injection last night. I was scared when I saw the long needle, but he did a really good job. The injection itself really didn't hurt, but my hip is sore this morning.

My ET is on Monday and my test date is May 31, so in 11 days I'll know if I'm pregnant!

Best wishes!

OK, I caved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was going to take a HPT on Sunday, tomorrow but 5 min ago looked that I had 6 HPT and said, what the heck, I will be taking one evevry day until my official beta on Wednseday.
Today I am 7dp3dt.
I PIOS. I almost fainted waiting for it to dry and looked.
I have a faint second line!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG!!!OMG!!!OMG!!!
How i am fraking. Could it be from the triger shot? Triger was 12 days ago, ER was 10 days ago.?
Could I be PG?????
I am hypervetilating right now, DH swears here it is a line, yes, it is i CAN SEE IT MORE CLEARLY NOW.
I'd better calm down. I will be back later.

LauraLou - sounds like they are doing really really well. You should be proud of them. Very best of luck for ET tomorrow. Then rest up well & drink loads of water and ensure that your dh does plenty of looking after you.

Vessi - sounds very good for you. I have read that trigger shot should be gone after about 10 days. It is very early so a faint line is great news as it is still early for the hsg levels to be detectable. Lots of the girls say that they get wrong negatives but never wrong positives. Try to stay calm and really looks like you & dh will have great news on Wednesday. Take good care.

Vess

you are so naughty!! but a positive is a positive and of course it will be faint at this stage.

i am being strong and not caving in cos have too many past experiences of peering at those bloody things in different lights, convincing myself there is something there. going to wait til Wednesday.

keep us updated if you do continue with them over the next couple of days and let us know if the line gets stronger (but remember that hcg levels double after 48 hours in a sudden jump and not gradually so it may not be much different after just one day).

hoping and praying that i get a +ive on Wednesday.

I took anoth HPT test this morning. The same second faint line. it has not gotten darker but as ANtalie said it takes 48h to double. And at this stage we are talking about 20-30, so even doubling will not really make the line darker. or mayeb yes. in any case, it cannot be the HCG, the HCG would have gotten weaker and it is not.
I am so happy, I start to believe that it is happening for me! I am even so afraid to put in words BFP :D
I have been eating for 2, Ok for 3:) My only symptome is watery mouth, I keep salivating which makes me constantly hungry. I found out that salivation could be one symptome. I hope this is mine.

Natalie, you are so strong for holding. See, I just could nont. My mind was gonna explode, I had to do something about it::) Keep holding and give a fat secind line on Wednesday.

hope welcome.. this board is amazing and very helpful.

Vessi I agree with everyone else normally you here about false negatives not false positives..

Cyot
I posted this on your testing board but WAY TO GO congraulations....

for me I have had 2 scans so far... The follies are looking ok. Carolyn you had mentioned wanting them to be about 16mm for er. Well I did not get the measurments today but as of yesterday they were anywhere from 8 to 13. They are hoping to do the er on Wednesday so if they grow (on avergage 2 mm a day) that may add 6 mm on so some may still be too small.. Oh well staying postive..

I hope everyone had a wonderful and stress free weekend...

Congrats Cyot and Vessi! It was time for some good news on this thread. Hope all goes perfectly for both of you. (Vessi, I live in BG but am English - enjoying living in your beautiful little country! Any plans to return?)

Luby sorry about the BFN - of course you must take time to grieve and recover your wits. IVF is such a crap, invasive, worrying thing to go through without the BFN at the end to boot. Hope you stay with us.

Carolyn - sounds like you have everything under control! How on earth did you manage to lose 6 lbs in such a short time? I'm wondering how I will.

Well I found out that my E levels were 6,800!!!! Not 4000 like I originally thought. Apparently anything over 4000 is in danger of OHSS. So the clinic is concerned that I will get OHSS - me too! I am drinking water like nuts, but how much can you drink to save yourself? This has rather overshadowed the EC, which went well - 20 eggs retrieved. I'm too scared to search through the board to find out anything about OHSS, I just know its very nasty. Why does my RE think I won't be out of danger until 7 days post ET? Is there anything else I can do? Should I cut out salt completely from my diet? Help!

BTW, interesting article on bbc news website about drinking milk - they now think it increases your follicular response and increases your chances of having twins. I was drinking a litre of sheeps milk a day - maybe that caused my OHSS?

Off to drink more water.....

Sofia - 20 eggs - way to go. The only other thing that I think I read can help reduce the risk of OHSS is protein. So I ate quite a lot of smoked salmon.

Understand that risk stays as when they take out the follies during EC that water rushes in to the cavities created and this can lead to OHSS. Think that also if you are pregnant then the hormones that you body creates post ET can also increase the risk of OHSS. So it can also be a good sign for you

Think that 2 litres a day of water plus a pint of milk where what I was told.

Think that the 6lbs that I lost was most the excess water that I was carrying and I had fewer eggs than you (13) so sure that lbs will drop away not that you start to feel less bloated

Cyot - posted on youtr thread to wish you all the best for the next 9 months

Vessi - sounds better and better for you! :D

Hope - welcome to the boards. No need to feel shy at all. Everyone is really helpful and supportive. If you have any questions then ask away as chances our that one of the ladies will have had the experience before or will recommend what you should do. Good luck for your tmt. Let's hope that you dd has a little brother or sister in the near future

LauraLou - good luck for ET tomorrow

Natalie - stay strong. Only 3 sleeps to go. Sending you lots of baby dust

Jacqoa - Keep resting, drinking the water and using the hot water bottle. The follies can put on a real growth spurt when you do the final trigger shot so you sound like all is going well for ER on Wednesday. Good Luck

That is all from me. Need to get some work done before it is Monday.

Hi guys,

Sorry its been a while! I've just flicked back through the 5 pages I missed and so much has happened, I don't know where to start with the personals! So I'll keep it simple.

Congrats to Cyot! I told you it ain't over to the preggie lady sings!

I'm so sorry Dania. Big hugs to you both.

Welcome new people - you will get a lot of support here.

I'm fine. (Now). I just needed to forget for a couple of days that I was an ART-girl. I've been throwing myself into preparations for my party and each afternoon I have a fight with myself because I want to come online, but I know that I have to get the front bedroom qulit done, or make those chicken balls for the freezer, or clear out that overgrown garden......!

I'll probably be a little quiet for the next 2 weeks 'cos the party is consuming so much of my time and I'm not due to start my next cycle until around the 10th of June so my news is pretty boring. But I will duck on every couple of days to see how you are all coping. I am thinking of you.

Carolyn, thanks for asking after me. I just saw the list and saw your b'day is 2 days after mine! Are you a crazy gemini like me? Don't really believe all that astrology stuff but must say I do have more than a couple of gemini traits!

See you all,

Em

Hey buddies, I'm back! So excited as today is ET day! As of Saturday I still had 10 good quality embryos and this morning 2 blastocysts have come through, although there may be more by the time we get to the clinic. DH and I have some big decisions to make regarding whether to have one or two blastocysts transferred. I read that they are more likely to stick than embryos so the logic would follow that you're more likely to have twins? Anyway, we'll discuss with a nurse when we get to the clinic this afternoon.

I'm STILL tired and bloated, even though my EC was 5 days ago so have been taking it really easy and sleeping lots. DH is off to Singapore for 6 weeks on Wednesday which I am really not looking forward to but at least I'm back at work on Thursday which will help lots. My Mum and Dad are spending bank holiday weekend here to look after me - hooray!

Sally - I'm sooo sorry to hear your news. IVF does take over your whole life doesn't it? I hope you can get some me-time now. Best wishes.

Cyot - I'm so pleased to hear that all that negative feeling turned into a BIG FAT POSITIVE!! I'm about to embark on the 2ww so it gives me lots of hope :D

Carolyn - about the hot water bottle, I think I will take your advice and not use it after ET, although I will miss it! Better to be safe than sorry... Your vitamins and healthy lifestyle sound brilliant, I wish I had planned for IVF more rather than rushing straight in. Your acupuncturist sounds great - and it sounds like you're getting your money's worth!

Sofia - my Oestrogen levels were way way higher than yours but somehow I managed to get away with no symptoms. I was told to drink 4-5 litres of water plus 1 of milk to prevent OHSS and I've had to continue this until today. I haven't heard that milk can cause OHSS - as not sure the clinics would be telling us to drink litres of it if it did! Congratulations on the 20 eggs - fantastic work :D

Vess - it all sounds good for you! Good luck on Wednesday!

Welcome Hope4l from the other side of the world! As everyone says, this board is a lifesaver and a sanity keeper.

Em - have a fantastic birthday if I don't post you before then, glad to hear you've got lots to occupy your time. See you back here in June!

LauraLou - my ET buddy! Good luck today.

Jackoa21 - I hope your EC goes well on Wednesday

I will post again in a few days as DH probably won't let me out of bed until then :)
