It can't be too much longer - not if you're into the practice runs already!!

Here's hoping you have a speedy and painfree labour, good luck!

Thanks girls, 3 days til due date and this little un is still hanging on in there. The midwife on Wednesday said all those painfull braxton hicks i'm having is a good sign but the little un is STILL only 1/5 engaged, i thought she'd be further down than that as it's getting really hard to move about now. She got me to make an appointment for next Wednesday but she thinks i might not make it (fingers crossed), she also went over what will happen if i go over, 7 days after my due date (which is my birthday and 2nd wedding anniversary) they will get me in for a membrane sweep (lovely birthday/anniversary present  ), if that doesn't work then at 10 days over they will get me in and induce me.
I'm hoping she will come this weekend but i reckon it will be some time in the middle of next week. Michael's brother is getting married next Friday so she might decide to come then  that will serve him right for chosing that date when they knew it's the same week as my due date (they only booked it about 2 months ago, still makes me so mad).
Take care and i'll keep you all posted.
Lotsa love

Michelle

Danica, a membrane sweep is an internal, the midwife runs her fingers round inside you to try and seperate the membranes from your cervix (or something like that, not very pleasant anyways) and hopefully will start labour. I really hope i go naturally before that takes place.
Tried a few "old wives tales" last night, hot bath and a curry and today sex and left over curry for lunch. Still getting a lot of painfull Braxtons but not sure if anything will happen today or not - here's hoping!!
Take care,
Lotsa love

Hi girls, you've probably guessed that seeing as i'm posting this today my little un isn't here yet. Think she's really comfy where she is at the moment and she will definately be late.
Had real bad backache last night but i think that's coz we done a BIG food shop yesterday, Michael thought it best to stock right up for the next couple weeks to save us having to do any for a while.
Not had any Braxton Hicks today which is kinda weird coz i've had them on and off all day for the last week or so. A bit of TMI coming up, this afternoon i felt a bit damp in my undies and when i went to the loo they were kinda wet, so i showered and changed and put a pad on and now the pad feels kinda damp, not sure if it's just a bit of wee that's leaking or if it's my waters leaking, i'm needing the loo about every 30 mins or so so i'm not too sure if it is wee or not. Was thinking about calling the midwife about it but decided to just wait and see what happens tonight.

Michael was quite funny earlier, he told the little off for not coming today as he didn't want to go to work
Well, have to go to the loo again.
I'll keep you posted.
Take care,
Lotsa love

Hi girls,
I'm STILL here and really fed up now. Thought things might be starting last night, the contractions were a lot worse than the painful ones last week but unfortunately it all eased off in the early hours again.
Got a midwife appointment first thing tomorrow morning (fingers crossed this little un will decide to come tonight).
Better go make a start on tea now as Michael will be home from work soon.
Take care,
Lotsa love,

Michelle

I think you're right Smita, she's definately playing games, can't decide whether to come out or stay put  She was at it again last night with the painful Braxtons but i'm still no further forward in meeting her.
Had midwife appointment this morning, all is fine with both of us but Jaquie (the midwife) did comment that my belly is ALL baby, i hope she's not huge  Something else i couldn't believe, she's still only 1/5 engaged, that's the 3rd appointment on the row that she's not moved down further.
Jaquie booked me in for the membrane sweep on Monday morning at 9.30 but she said to feel free to have her anytime before that  She also gave my belly a good talking to, telling her to hurry up and come out, i always have a laugh with her, hope she's the one that's with me during labour, the other 2 i've seen are nice enough but i feel more at ease with Jaquie.
Think i've rambled on enough now.
Take care,
Lotsa love

Just a quickie to say i'm still here, no sign of this little un coming yet.
Getting REALLY fed up waiting now, i want her out now but i've told her to wait until after 10.15pm tonight as it's the first Big Brother tonight (i'm a Big Brother obsessive  Got the whole of my mat leave to watch it all this year  )
It's Michael's brothers wedding tomorrow so maybe she'll make an appearance then and steal the limelight
Take care all and i'll keep you posted.
Lotsa love
