Sally - Fellow Hammersmither. I am so very sorry to read you news. Take some time out to recover and then decide the right next steps for you & dh. Sending you big hugs

Em - glad that you checked in. Was getting worried. Good luck with all the party planning. Sounds exciting. Me & dh are just going away together for a couple of days so we have some time to just be husband & wife  Of course I am a geminin - and have many of the traits also. Hope that I might be able to cycle again in June so we may be buddies again soon

Jackoa - good luck for ER on Wednesday - hoping for lots of lovely eggs for you

LucyBucy - hope that ET will go really well for you today. Sounds like you have some great embies to put back. Then you should be resting & taking it really easy so we will hope that we don't hear from you for a few days. Plenty of lying around. Chick flicks and dh running around for you. I did no planning for 1 st cycle so this time need to do more to help my case

Hoping that Natalie and Vessi will get great news on Wednesday.

Baby dust to all.

Sally, I am so sorry to hear this news. Stay strong!!

LucyBucy- Good Luck with ET! 2 great blasts sounds very promissing!! Tale some time off your feet and come back to tell us how you feel.

Sofia- I don't know anything about OHSS, neither of high E2 levels. I am working with single digit follicles:). My ER they got 4 mature eggs, 3 fertilized. I am staying in teh US. I already became USA citizen. i am married to a great Russian guy and it looks that our life is settled here.

As expected, I took another HPT. At 5am when I woke up. it looks like my patience is running off. i test earlier and earlier every day:) it was a double line but it did not really look darker that yesterday's. I can see slightly difference between today's and Saturday's. So, i am freaking that it might be ectopic or it stopped doubling. Ggrgr, will I ever stop worring? No... 2 more sleeps and beta is coming.

The ET went really well. They put in 2 grade B blastocysts. I asked the doctor if grade B was okay and he said that was very good. He said sometimes they go a month or so without seeing a grade A, so not too worry.

They will watch the remaining embryos for another day, but don't think there will be any worth freezing. Not too surprising since I only started out wih 6 fertilzed eggs.

I have a color picture of my little embryos. I put it in a frame and have it on the bed. Hopefully I will have a baby book to put it into in nine months!

LucyBucy- my ET buddy! Hope your transfer went well today.

Best wishes to everyone.

LauraLou,
Great! Sticky vibes to your little ones.
I have also the picture of mine on display and kiss it every time I pass by. I asked DH to do the same, but he kisses my belly instead:)

Hi ladies!!

Sounds like I have missed alot. I have returned to let you all know I had my first ultrasound today and I have one baby!! Had 2 transferred so there was that chance of two. We must admit we are a bit relieved. Twins was a bit scary to us. We were able to see the heartbeat also. So please everyone stay positive. This too can happen for you.

Carolyn -- I hope you are doing OK. The very best luck for starting your FET. FET is what worked for us the first time with our daughter. She is now 2.5 years old. And I"ve heard the success rates keep rising. So keep the faith.

Good luck to everyone else this month also. Please try to stay as positive as you can. I really believe this helps.

Brenda,
Congratulations!! Sounds great!!! So sweet you could see the HB:)
How is your PG going? Nausea? cravings?

As for me, as espected 4th HPT this morning at 5am.
Finally the line has become darker!!!! Iu am extatic!!!! It looks like BFP for me. I am sooo happy. Before I could not sleep because I was nervous, now i am so happy all I can think is my double line.

Natalie, still holding? Praying for you tomorrow morning.

Chestito Vessi! da ste zhivi i zdravi! How great to hear of someone with a BFP who only had a few follicles.

Thanks Brenda for the update and encouraging words. Wishing you all the best for the next 8 months.

Well ET for us is tommorrow. All 20 eggs have fertilised and are dividing nicely. It would be great if I didn't have OHSS, but then again, if that is the price I have to pay not to do another round of IVF, I'll pay it!

My quandry now is this - our RE recommends transferring FIVE embies. I know this is more or less forbidden in Europe for multiple births reasons, but he says that as each embie has a 20% chance of sticking, 5 embies would mean = 100% chance that one will stick. His practice does have a 50% success rate, and maybe this is why. He says that if more than one stick, he can 'selectively reduce' them. We would have ethical issues about that, but he says it very rarely happens. What would you do if faced with the same dillemma???

Thanks

Sofia.. my doctor also does more than the norm. She was saying 4. I think you have to do what you think is right. Would this be a 3 day or 5 day transfer for you. .Congratulations on the 20 eggs also that is wonderful.

Vessi that is wonderful news.. just keep thinking about the BFP today :) keep us posted

Brenda
Congratualations on the healty baby :) :)

Looks like the ER is tomorrow so I will keep you all posted on the # of follies... I hope I get the 4 that the doc wants to put back in..

i am holding on for tomorrow morning. v nervous! glad your line went darker. hope so much i get a bfp too! will feel very lucky if our one little embie has implanted.

just been reading the posts about putting in lots of embies then selectively reducing which just sounds horrendous. My new consultant said that if he could improve my chances in any way he would put more than 2 embies back but becuase i'm in the uk, it's not allowed for women under 40 so the max is 2, then it turned out i only had 1 to transfer anyway so wouldn't have mattered!

trying to keep busy and not have a rest (v tired though) so that i sleep ok tonight. got plenty of early pregnancy symptoms but i suppose i could be kidding myself.

will let you all know as soon as i have my result.

I am now in hour 22 of my 48 hours of bed rest. I have some very mild cramping, but no spotting. I find that I am obsessing about very little twinge or ache. I guess that's natural.

Vessi- Congratulations, I am so happy for you!

Sofia- 5 is a lot of embryos. I am a nurse on a high risk obstetrics ward. I see patients with triplets and quads. To be blunt, they don't do well. Lots of m/c's and extremely premature babies that don't survive or have life long disabilities. I would only put in 5 embryos if you are willing to do a selective reduction if needed. Hopefully you wouldn't need one, but it could be a real possibility with that many embryos. Good luck whatever you decided to do!

Best wishes everyone!

We had our EC today and im feeling quite sick at the moment, they managed to get six eggs and im to call tomorrow to see how our little embies are progressing and to get a time for the ET on Thursday. Im not very sore but still a little boated. The collection wasnt as pain free as i had excpected unfortunatly the sedation didnt really work and i was aware of what was happening and it was quite painful but i was so dopey i couldnt say anything through the oxygen mask instead all i could do was cry. It was to take 20 mins and to me it only felt like 10.
All is well now and im at home trying to rest up and im still pretty sleepy.

Hi Girls,

sorry no personals, just a very quick one.

Had my blood test today (Hammersmith wants you to go even if AF has arrived). Beta is 11 and Progesteron 0,9, looks like its an ectopic again. I cant even do a proper BFN NO...!

Got to go for another blood test end of this week and hopefully beta is falling.

Good luck to you all and take care.

Sally,
I am so sorry to hear about the possible ectopic. I hope it is not. i am myslef an ectopic surviver and I know how hurtful it could be.
You are in my thoughts and prayers!

Sara, I am sorry you had to feel the ER. It must have been very frustrating. I am glad you feel better though. In my clinic I was under general anesthesia and did not feel a thing.
I also had 6 eggs but only 4 were mature. Ennded up with only 2 little pre-embryos and did 3dt. Wishing you all 6 to fertilize!!
GL!

Natalie, it is not fair, you are 7h ahead! I will be still sleeping 9or taking another HPT) while you will already know. GL!
