Saw 1 sac, but could there be more?

Post by Kealinn »

I'm new to this site but I've been reading alot of it for several weeks now. I just went through my first IVF cycle:

ER: 5/1/2006
ET: 5/7/2006 (2 blastocysts)
+PT: 5/17/2006
1st US: 5/23/2006

I am 25 years old and my DH and I have been trying for 5 years. I have a 7 year old (soon to be 8) daughter. This experience has been such a rollercoaster of emotions!!

My question is, we only saw 1 sac at my 1st US at 5 weeks along. But my HCG levels have continuously been on the high side, even the nurse seems to think another one might show up next US (6/2/2006). Has anyone ever started with 1 but ended up with twins?? I'm having a ton of symptoms!!! And it all seems so much sooner than w/my daughter. Either way we are extremely happy and just hope for the best... I was just wondering if anyone else shared a similar experience.

Thanks.

Hi there Kealinn,

Congratulations on your pregnancy! Could it be identical twins perhaps?

Just a thought... enjoy your next scan,

Caroline
