Maybe ectopic

Post by Chinamiff »

I have just got results of 2nd IVF attempt. On Friday the blood tests showed the hormone levels increasing, but inconclusive. Today they are still rising but outside of the normal pregnancy parameters.

The clinic want to test us again on 5th June and scan on 12th.

They tell us there is a small chance it could continue to a normal pregnancy but higher possibility that it could be ectopic or just fall away.

I would be greatful to hear from anyone who has faced similar situation.

When i had my etopic pregnancy my hormone levels were extremely high, however try not to worry until you have the conclusive results!

I've answered your PM and sent you my story (rather miserable I'm afraid). Don't lose heart though. There are always weird and wonderful stories on here. People DO have low numbers that speed up. Keep having blood tests as often as your clinic will allow. It's all in the HCG numbers.

good luck
Debra.

On occasion, a slow-rising hCG value turns out to be a normal, successful pregnancy. More readings and the ultrasound they already scheduled will tell you for sure what's going on.
