Sweetheart. I am so sorry that it has not worked out for you. I am relieved that you do not have to have an op for an eptopic. It is just too early for you to think of your next steps but I wonder if you will be going back to Hammersmith or whether you figure it is time for a change. I asked my acupuncturist about Hammersmith and he was pretty positive about the clinic. Which consultant are you with? I am seeing Mr Trew for the first time with dh on Wednesday.

Realise that you may need some time out. We are here if you need us.
Thinking of you.
Carolyn xx
-------------------------------------

Hope - glad to hear that your FET has gone well and now 2 are back where they belong. How did you find that protocol as we might try instead of a fresh cycle?

Jackoa - hope that transfer has gone well. Rest loads

LucyBucy - hope that you will have a nice weekend with your parents. It is nice that they are coming to look after you :D

Sarahface - try to stay away from the hpt for as long as you possibly can - they can be bad news

Sofia - hope that your family of 5 + you + dh = 7 are doing well :?

Wendy - hoping that you are going to get good news over the weekend

Had second acupuncture with the cutie 8) on Thursday. Needles in different places, as at a different stage of my AF cycle. Seems like it is making me a bit calmer - although may be in my head? Have lost 1/2 stone that I added in cycle so back where I started. Now would like to lose another 1/2 stone so clothes feel less tight for my next cycle.

Hope weather better where you all are - chucking it down with rain in London on a Bank Holiday weekend - never great for lifting the spirits.

Baby dust all around.

hi ladies and fellow 2ww'ers

feeling positive at the moment Distraction is great isnt it.... anyone got some great distraction techniques????? (other than counting down the days and participating in the evil pee sticks??)

CAROLYN - I had one -tive FET but the last FET was sucessful for me and i hold great hopes for it this time, trying to do the same things as last time, i went with the manufactured cycle as my cycle was very irregular but am pleased i did that over the natural cycle as it takes the guesswork out of it, only one b/test and you know when things are going to happen, also for me the egg collection was painful and its good not to have the pain with FET, although i have to remind myself to take rests and not do strenuous activity

the last FET i made the choice to thaw until i had 4 good ones, transfer 2 and put 2 back but i regret that because 1 was not good to rethaw and the other was put back but there has been no research to show that they survive the rethaw, so yes i would never do that again

SOFIA - hows all of you?

JACKOA - it only takes one, heres hoping this is the one

hope

Ladies

Just dropping in to send you all baby dust as will be away for a couple of days. dh taking me away for two night to very posh hotel for serious pampering. Seemed much better for me & dh to go away together than having a big party to celebrate being 4-0 especially as all I really wanted as a pressie was to be pregnant. Dh needs looking after as well after all of this so we will try to just have a really lovely time together. 8)

We then come to London on Wednesday morning & have our review appointment at 12 noon. Have printed off a list of questions. Feeling more confident than in the past but that could all disappear by Wednesday. Also seems like quite a long wait since the BFN call before we have been able to talk to anyone about our cycle - so will just be really good to hear how they felt the cycle went, where we go next and what we can do differently next time around.

Hope - thank you for all the info on the FET. That is very helpful. Your +ve FET certainly gives me hope. :D Keeping my fingers crossed that it will work again. Appreciate the advice on re-freezing. These are all such tough calls to make

Wendy and LauraLou - hoping that by the time that I get back that you both will have good news to share :D :D

LucyBucy and Sarahface - counting down the days - not so long to go now

Jackoa & Sofia - hope that 'tiny' family and 'hugh' family are both doing really well

Em - hope that you had a great birthday

Dania - hope that you are ok and that you are not leaving us - thinking of you

Baby dust to all Image

Okay, so I succumb to the evil pee sticks this morning. I couldn't help it, they were calling to me!

I didn't have any in the house, so I had to drive across the street to buy one before I used the bathroom this morning. Of course there was a line, so I'm crossing my legs while the woman in front of me digs in her purse for coupons. Another 30 seconds and I would have paid for her purchases myself.

I have a very, very faint second line. I don't want to get too excited, but I am feeling hopeful. I didn't show my husband, as I didn't want him to be disappointed. If the line gets darker tomorrow, I'll definitely let him see!

I cannot wait until my official test on Wednesday!!!

Sounds very good for you. Ladies get false negatives but if there is a line - then you are on your way. Ladies do not get false negatives as far as I have ever seen or read. You must be SO excited.

Let's hope that the line just gets darker & darker.

Hi Ladies

Just popping into see how you are all doing, and to wish you all the best of luck. :D
I am hoping that us April/ May ladies can keep this thread going, now May is nearly over. Its so nice to be able to chat to people that we have got to know, as we have gone through so much together.

I am still tossing and turning, wondering what to do next.

Have another go at IVF but with my eggs, but overseas, as its cheaper.

or

Have a go with donor eggs.

Or - do nothing and call it a day.

Anyway I have a lot of thinking to do, so I will pop back later.

Hello Ladies,

I've just posted on my own thread (thanks for starting the thread for me Carolyn, you really are very supportive and I hope you're having a lovely time away with DH). Just to let you know that me and DH had a BFP confirmed by the hospital this morning. We are both so happy and realise that we are very lucky / blessed that the treatment worked first time :D

I must admit, I did cheat a bit and did a HPT yesterday, went to the bathroom as soon as I got up, came back into the bedroom shaking and crying and told DH that I thought I was pregnant. DH took one look at the HPT and said the line couldn't have been any darker if I had drawn it on myself with a felt tip pen!!!

Have my first scan on 20 June, so now I have another wait, but for 3 weeks this time! I really can't believe we got this far, especially after only having two embryo's to put back and I also had a really nasty bout of diarrohea part way through my treatment (which the doctor confirmed was an infection caused by food poisoning and can be really nasty).

Will be sticking around on this thread to support everyone else going through treatment.

Thanks to all of you for all of your incredible support and good wishes during the last few months.

Love
Wendy x

Wendy- Congratulations!!! I am so happy for you! That is wonderful news.

Jackie- I've been wondering how you are doing. Did your one little fighter make it to transfer?

LucyBucy- How are you feeling? Have you caved in a done a HPT yet?

I took another HPT this morning. Another very faint pink line. Doesn't look any darker than yesterday's. I also started having some light brown spotting yesterday afternoon, which continues this morning.

I thought perhaps it's implantation bleeding but it seems very late for that. My EC was on 5/17 and my ET on 5/22. Besides if I got a faint pink line yesterday, wouldn't implantation have to have occured several days ago?

It looks like dried blood, brown not red, so perhaps it's from several days ago. Or perhaps I'm clutching at straws and AF is about to appear.

I don't know how I am going to make it until Wednesday! My husband isn't very helpful. He says things like "let's not worry/talk/think about this until Wedneday when we'll know for sure". Makes me want to scream!

Sorry for the rant. We're going to an arts festival today, so hopefully it will take my mind off all of this for a while.

Best wishes!

LAURALOU - spotting is perfectly normal when i was BFP with DD i had lots of spotting both brown and bright pink, the brown is nothing to worry about, when i got the brighter colour i was told to bedrest for a couple of days, anyway it went away and still went on to BFP, it will happen for a while while you are on IVF medication, hope this is not TMI as it is meant to reassure you to listen to your DH (if you can), good luck for wednesday, baby dust to you.

HI girls,

Had a fabulous weekend. DH took me to the Hyatt Coolum and had me booked for a body wrap on the sat arvo, dinner that night and then a massage and facial on sunday morning. He also gave me the most beautiful gold bracelet! And this sat I have my party! I am so spoiled!

Did feel my age on sunday though. The resort gave us a complimentry bottle of bubbles which we opened while we got dressed (and my kiwi DH watched the super14 rugby final - real romantic!). Then after dinner we went to the resort nightclub "for old time's sake" and there was a group of lawyers from Melbourne there on a boy's weekend. DH told them it was my birthday and the rest was history. They kept buying us drinks all night! After not really drinking for 6 months - I was sooooo hungover on sunday! Never again, I swear!

I hope you have had a wonderful time away as well Carolyn! Its nice to go away and forget about it all isn't it? Happy Birthday!

Wendy congrats! Well done, you!

Lauralou, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Sally, I've never been as far as you and don't understand all the Beta stuff. Is there no hope? I'm thinking of you.

Jackie, How did your little one get on? I hope he's fighting for you!

Everyone else, baby dust, hugs and warm fuzzies!

Hello ladies
I am finally back.. I was stuck on the couch and the laptop would not work.. I finally out of the bed rest (yeah).. thank you for all your warm wishes and thoughts... On Saturday we went in to check on the one little embryo and it had fertilized and grew to 8cell.. My doctor seemed pretty pleased with an 8 cell.. I know it is a lot to hang our hats on but I have to have faith in something right? The little fighter made it this far so I have to fight for it also..
Congratulations on all the BFP's I missed and birthdays... and follie counts.. You ladies have been busy....
