Question for those who are pg through IVF?

Post by <ER2005> »

Hi Ladies,

I am hoping to hear from those of you who are pg with some embies that didn't look so great at ET. Lots of fragmentation, etc?
I had one that looked good, but I am holding out hope for the others as well. Please share your successes!!!

I had my ER on Wed and it didn't go as well as I had hoped. They said they let me stim a little too long so I lost "some" eggs. They ended up getting only 4 and only 3 of them were good. The good news is that all 3 fertilized and they transferred all 3 on Sat morning. My Dr. grades them as good, fair and poor. I had one 8-cell good, 1 6-cell fair and 1 5-cell poor with 40% fragmentation. So not great quality embies overall, but I'm remaining hopeful.
I am praying that at least one of those embies will settle in stay for the next nine months.

Thanks!

It sounds like a great start!!! 3 transferable and one very good embryo in there! I would have been over the moon to have them transfer more than one!

Its been said a hundred times, so must be coz its true ... it only take one little fighter!! I am blessed with my precious BFP after a single embryo transfer ... which moreover was on a FET (frozen cycle), there are a couple of people at same stage as me who also have amazing positive stories. One of the girls Traci, (tracii please pipe up and tell the story properly!) is carrying a little munchkin after only one follicle matured into single egg. I heard another story of pregnancy from a single embryo 2 cell!!

This is the one (or two maybe!!), and the bump is around the corner! Sending you heaps of pma and baby dust!!!

Sounds great to me!! I am pg through ivf (12wks) and we transferred 2 fairly good embies. I also got pg in Nov from an ET (transferred 2) that didn't look very promising, they were both poor quality, but I did conceive. Unfrortunatley that ended up as a tubal pg. Which had nothing to do with embryo quality. This time, after 3 day transfer I still had 3 remaining embryos, a B6, a B5 and a C4, and they all 3 made it to blastocysts and were cryopreserved. What I am getting at is that even the C4 made it to blastocyst, so don't be discouraged, you had 3 to transfer and that is fantastic. It only takes one, just have faith and think happy, positive thoughts, and pray. Best of luck to you!!

I would have loved to have 3 embies to transfer! You are very lucky and am praying for a BFP for you!!!

I only had one transferred. I had a nightmare cycle (2.IVF) with stimming for 22 days...only had 3 follies, 2 eggs retrieved and only 1 egg fertilized. The little guy is a realy fighter and decided to stick around - I am now in my 15th week of prengnancy and so far everything is going well (I keep everything crossed, rub my belly and pray everday we have a full term pregnancy).

There are a lot of true miracles on this board :D

Hiya

That has happended to me before . I am a very poor responder and on my 4th attempt the drs made me fork out an extra £150 for a weekends worth of stims - EC was booked for a Monday as they dont do them on sats- only 1 egg ! (did have approx 5 follies), the "one" embie didnt make it thru the night - so treatment cancelled - the doctor then said at the review that I was "over-cooked"....well thanks very much doctor ! Arrrrrhhh £4,000 down the swanny, not a "sorry" or a refund in sight.

On the other hand, my 3rd attempt, I only made one 2 cell embie, spent the whole 2ww jumping about, adamant it hadnt worked, and got a positive! Sadly m/c at 9 wks though.

Still trying to find the strength for another go - possibly this time next year?

You have an excellent chance!. GO GIRL!!!!! Preying you get that positive you deserve!!!!!!
