Post by Moritsha »

Hi all. Just want to know who is taking baby asprin. I've read a lot about it. Is it just like normal asprin but for babies?? How much should I take and when - before treatment, during? Thanks Paula x Image

I asked one of the nurses at my clinic about this yesterday and she told me that taking aspirin can cause miscarriage!?!?

I was quite surprised by this as a lot of people seem to be using it!

I took 81mg aspirin - but was prescribed by my doctor...so please check with your doctor first because it can have a negative effect.

Thought that I would post this web reference here about aspirin which Veronika had put on the April/May thread.

Wow, thanks Carolyn. Very interesting. I'm not going to take it now. I really thought it would help. Maybe mind over matter. Who knows? Take care. Paula x

My clinic advised me to keep taking the aspirin and that research shows it is associated with a reduced risk of miscarriage. I'm worried now because even as she said it I thought I was advised the opposite last time. Also, this time she advised me to stop taking all my vitamins except folic acid because they were associated with increased miscarriage and again, this was the opposite to the advice from the same clinic last time.

I know I repeated to her several times that I would only be taking the folic and the aspirin and nothing else, but I'm really starting to think my clinic don't know what they're on about.

Hi, it's so annoying when one research says yes and the other says no!! Who do we go with??? I think we all just want that magic something that will give us that BFP! Take care everyone. Paula x
