Yikes

Post by Seattlite »

It's reasonably early in the am - and for some reason I can't sleep! I am riddled with anticipation . . . trying hard to think positive and also trying to keep this in perspective. My stomach is full of butterflies and my concentration will be shot at work. I've got a full day of busy business and I'm hoping it will serve as a distraction. My 2ww is over...today is the day. I am dousing myself if all of the baby dust I can and I'm off for my blood test with my DH.
stay tuned....

and another thing...

like all of you.... I want this to be a BFP to share with you all to fuel your motivation and hope. I have spent the last two months scouring for positive IVF outcomes, clinging on those that have had successes. Those are the stories that make me believe it can happen to any of us. Hang in there..

Hi all!

Thought i'd try and post this link

www.guardian.co.uk/uklatest/story/0,,-5858451,00html

positive news on ivf fertility rates in older women and especially pertinent to me and Jen with our one little soldier each.

Still keeping everything crossed for you lisa!

EDIT

- Oh how annoying! The link seems to have expired yesterday and I can't trace it on the net now. Anyway - it was saying that particularly in older women, chances were increased by only implanting only one embryo. It went up from something like 29% to 33%. It contradicts all previous thoughts that it chances were improved by implanting as many as possible but had to be weighed against the risk of multiple births. Something like that anyway - Guardian June 1st. Tried to post yesterday but the site kept chucking me out!

Hold onto your hats ladies, I'm a BFP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm in disbelief - trying not to worry too much. My number is 183 whatever that means - over 50 is good, so sounds good to me.

This is the best news ever.

best of luck to you all
keep believing . . .
