Egg Collection & Cramps & Overstimualtion

Post by spongebob »

Hello,

We have had our Egg Collection today and they got 20 eggs which we are very happy with. My question is this, Mrs Spongebob is feeling quite bloated/tender at the moment and was last year when we had our first go at ICSI. When people overstimulate to the drugs and are quite sore when the eggs are put back in does this place them at a disadvantage of getting a positive result?

Many Thanks.

Bob.

I suspect it's positively correlated with pregnancy, but I'm not sure.

Hi Bob,

I hope Mrs spongebob will feel better soon,

From what I have read on this forum since a year and a bit, cramping and soreness are very normal after EC, and hyperstim does not lower your chances on getting pregnant!

GOOD LUCK

Hi,

I had 25 eggs and had OHSS before ET and was advised not to go ahead with the transfer. I now have 8 embies frozen for FET.

I hear that some women have the ET and then have OHSS but get through it after special care and attention. They have perfectly fine pregnancies after the initial rough period.

Good luck. It is important that Mrs spongebob drinks atleast 2 1/2 litres of water a day. Please contact the hospital immediately if she starts vomitting continuously. Try not to think too much about it at this point.

Wish you all the best.

Love,
Sita
