Hi all

I got bad news...been bleeding ( brown) since Monday and was told to take bed rest...tody i have FULL ON AF...so it's over for me girlies

STRANGELY I okay about it

i was of couese so sure i would get a BFP...but now know i WILL sometime in the future. so adam and i will hopefully go again in october and get 2 more (plus???) eggs and give it one more shot.

I have patience that BFP will come my way soon...

Jen I am so sorry about this news! Please try to smile and sure it'll happen when it's meant to the time wasnt right, and things happen for a reason you cant see it right now but it'll all come good when it's meant to Huney xxx

I heard a bit of good news today. I don’t know if any of you remember Carina (Carinaboo) she had a BFP from a FET back in November. She then found out that even though only 1 embryo was transferred she was pregnant with twins. She has had major complications from the start as there was only 1 placenta and 1 sac with no membrane between the twins and the odds were not very favourable. Carina has been in hospital since the end of April so that they can monitor the babies. Yesterday she had a C section and now has 2 beautiful girls Chelsea and Jaselle, they are breathing for themselves but need a bit of assistance and they hope to be out of intensive care within 6 weeks. It made me cry! Its so great to hear of stories that do turn out ok.

Kate don’t worry about being naff at posting. I am either really good at it or really bad!

That would be fantastic timing for you if you could have the treatment in the school holidays, I bet you would feel so much more relaxed not having to try and juggle appointments.

Julie your comment about Grace made me laugh, she is a right nasty piece of work. Lea is driving me bonkers she is going to pop out of her Bikini top if she is not careful! I have just seen that Nikki and Sam are up for eviction. Its not long until you start your treatment, that seems to have come around quickly, bet it hasn’t seemed like that for you though!

I have it easy with the meds on this cycle the only thing I have to take is Clomid tablets for 5 days.

I am still waiting for my AF to start, it feels inevitable but it just wont come!!!!!! I know it will be here for the weekend as we are going away for a few days to celebrate our wedding anniversary, so sods law says AF will be here.

Jen - I am so sorry sweetie, you do sound in good spirits but I know it hurts like hell so I do hope you and Adam are OK, you are right it will happen for you, we just never know which cycle is going to be the one do we.? Looks like we'll be cycling together then if you’re going ahead in Oct.! I am sending you a big hug...........

Kate - Hi hun, yeah I do sympathise with you, with the "step children" thing, it really is hard, even though we don't see my partners son that much, (no fault of ours) when we do it really hurts me, I hate seeing the things they do together, I do get quite jealous, then I think, he's just a kid, its not his fault... I know my partner will never fully understand because he has a son and no-one can take that away from him. He does say he doesn't feel like his dad because he doesn't get to see him that much and he really wants us to have a family, but I just feel if he didn't have him then he would understand how I felt a bit more. I really feel like I am going through this on my own, he is just there to provide the sperm, that sounds horrid, but that’s how I feel.
You and your husband will have a child or two, we just never know when it'll work, but I'm sure it will..... You keep positive....
Wow 7 weeks off - you lucky thing... enjoy the sunshine..

Julie - I got some info through on CARE I must say it sounds and looks very impressive - I am definitely going to make an appointment to go see them, only think I'd be bothered about it the travelling to appt's. but hey if there success rate is a good as it says in brochure then I don't care...

I wish I didn't have to work today, the weather is glorious - oh well think I'll go for lunch now and get a bit of sunshine..!

Good news at last for me ......firstly HSG went fine today and everything is as it should be.

Secondly (and I can't believe this

) my local Edinburgh unit who shunned us in February because they had to stop their Donor programme cos of lack of donors due to the new laws, phoned me on Tuesday to tell me that the first seven couples at the unit waiting on donor iui can now be offered 10 cycles of diui (YES I SAID 10!!!!!!!

)over the next year, starting hopefully almost immediately. They have managed to buy in 10 ampules of donor sperm per couple (for 7 couples) at a cost of £1000 in total. Dh and I are couple no. 7!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What all this means is that if the health board don't cough up the money then dh and I will pay a flat fee of £1000 upfront. That gives us 10 ampules of sperm (one per cycle - all from the same donor). If I fall pg before the 10 cycles are up and therefore before our 10 ampules have been used up we are allowed to freeze the remainder (as we'll already have paid for it) and we can use it later on down the line for future tmt (meaning our little ones will come from the same donor).

I can't believe it - no more travelling to Darlington (300 mile round trip). The cycles are non medicated (ie no clomid) but that's A OK with me. Should be able to start ASAP as buying in the sperm as we speak

Well hopefully tonight I might just have the best sleep I've had in a while

£1000 for 10 is great, we pay £100 for 1 so thats good to know huh???

But we have never thought about buying 10 in as to be honest, we are happy with one baby when it comes, we have already decdied we only want one, but then if later we want to we will try again, but I understand what you say about sibling having same father....

Hows your DH now about it all??

This month I have started using the ov test kits to i practice ready for next month havent go LH surge yet but when i do will bonk like made just in case (hey you never know) I doubt it after all these yrs, but miracles do happen, and if not it all helps in learning about my cycle.....

Thanks doll. We don't have a choice in buying in ampules per cycle. The deal is £1000 for 10, take it or leave it.(sounds like a supermarket - like buy one get one free!!

lol) Because there is no super ovulation involved ie just like your last 3 cycles then realistically it may take us a few goes to get pg so we may only get one pregnancy out of all of it. Apparently the donors are from a Harley Street clinic in London - Hughes & something or other. One of the clauses is that the sperm cannot be sold back to the clinic - I'm happy with that. If we have spare its reassuring to know that it can be kept for future. Have my nurse dscussion on Wednesday. AF is due 27th June - same day as you!!!

I think I have bloods from day 12 onwards then ?iui should be 12 / 13th July?? as I have 30 day cycle.

Cool!!! I have never cycled with anyone before when it's so exactly the same!!!

We had all our prev. donors from Harley St too...

I am basing my predictions on 28 day cycle as, I vary from 28 to 31 really,
