Hi girls

I'm here. Thanks for asking about me on some of the earlier posts. I've just been too hot, tired or busy to come on every day. Feeling fine apart from some slight indigestion but Gaviscon is on hand when I need it! Have managed to find some lovely maternity clothes via mail order nothing like the usual crap the shops fob you off with. Even Next is pretty shoddy, their stuff doesn't fit in the right places. I got a pair of jeans from them that are supposed to fit under the bump but they just fall down!

Jen - Sorry you've been feeling down. Hope a bit of good weather and a few drinks at the weekend might help. I saw a soft top mini today and forget is yours like that? V. nice.

Lola - You asked earlier about whether we knew the sex of baby / names. No we didn't want to find out, as it doesn't make a difference anyway and names we decided on are either Phoebe or Annabel and Oliver. Now I don't want any comments from anyone that will make me change my mind as it took a considerable amount of time to agree here at home!

Walshy - So you're set for Aug are you? Exciting.

Steph - You must go at your own pace but aren't you feeling tired? Also occured to me that you haven't got any details under your posts. So come on fill us in. Also where are you in the States, I may have missed this from eons ago, if so sorry.

Little R - Still wondering about your name! Gives you an air of mystery though! Your break was a good idea - some time to enjoy each others company before thinking about the future.

There was a whole load of stuff I was going to say but a) can't remember it all now! and b) keep getting interupted.

Take care everyone.

Lots of love.

Camilla, you're right! The mysterious Little R....

Lets start a competition to guess the elusive ones moniker. Little's... are you in? Now all we need is a prize......

Rapunzel? Rachel?

Should we limit to one guess per post?

Afternoon.. well for me anyway. It is Friday afternoon and time is creepin every so slowly by... I am ready for the weekend!!! Mostly I am ready for sleeping in tommorrow. I have to get up at 5a during the week...

Camilla- hmmm... secret facts. Well, I am 29 years old and a gemini. My interests include saving planet earth, yoga and anything sweet on the taste buds. I enjoy hiking, cheesy television and smut books. I am looking for a life partner who can enjoy the same things or atleast pretend to for my benefit if they want to get some nooky........

Roger? Romaine? Rippa?

Well Steph gives up the goods! As for pets.... I'm not allowed. After some tragic yet surprisingly hilarious caged pets debacles when a child (Hamsters are like velcro'ed rockets if you throw them at the curtains! It is good for children to experiment..), I have been banned from pet ownership.
I would love a dog! But we live in Chintz Mansions so can't have one. Also, I have an inkling be pretty crap. I like those little grey schnauzers but everyone I know who has one is a gay man, is it the equivalent of a moustache? Or code?

I just saw your due date! Oh my god, it's really real! Have you even begun to think of names? Will it be a really tree hugger one :D :D like.....ummm.... Bark, or ummm, Moss. Actually, Moss is a great name! His name was Moss Wheeljack, by day he was a student of Law, by night he was.....The Planter! da da dada da dahhhhh

As you can see, I am study avoiding mucho mucho. I have been a very bad girl today. Better go back and try again...... weep n wail :(

Loolers--- you are the queen of avoidance today! I likey! because I am doing the same. I think that is your sign that you need a day off... I am not sure that brain is holding information any longer...

Case in point.. I have already told you the baby names.. Faith Caroline or Cora Elizabeth and Jacob Benjamin.. you commented on the name Benjamin.. both our DH's names is Ben... any of this ringing a bell?

Anyway- one perscription for an evening off from studying.. doctors orders!

As for me.. I am going to be having a lovely evening with parentals complete with spaghetti dinner... I have been an italian food freak on a leash lately. Absolute obsession! My dad makes the BEST spaghetti sauce.. and nope he's not italian. Yep, this is my exciting life.. .. I should be the star of a reality show! Oh what entertainment.

Lola-la-la- I still have an hour and a half left at work, so feel free to continue to entertain me....

 what a gorm, sorry I forgot about names. Like I said my brain is FRIED dude! Have just done some telephone studying ( ) with a fellow inmate of exam hell. He is so much more focused than me. But hey, I bet I have a nicer bottom, marginally. Hope that cuts some sway at Exam Centrale on Monday. OMG! MONDAY!!!! 3 sleeps goddamn!
Am now stopping the study for today, got beer, football on the telly and pizza on it's way.
Your en famille sounds lovely. I wish my folks lived nearer (they're in Wales, the green motherland) would be nice to spend more time with them, especially as my mother feeds me to bursting with all manner of lovelies and has the same propensity for sh*te tv as me.

Enjoy your pasta and feel free to stuff that pretty face o yours - darn it yo eatin' for two, girlfriend.

Hasta luego amigas

 Hi girls

Won't go into detail but i'm feeling better although have been quite down.

Anyway onwards and upwards as they say.

Mini update - Only about 3-4 weeks to go until we get delivery, i'm so excited.

House update - First viewer put in an offer, which we declined then she offered more but solicitor advised her to put in a note of interest as they have to do in Scotland then wait. We feel it has only been on the market for 3 days and we want to advertise it more. Looks good so far but am a bit panicky now as we cant find a house

Little R - So you will be back in Dubai now trying to deal with the heat. I mean i love the sun but i think 47 is just a bit too much. So how you feeling? I hope you had a nice break? I know what you mean about being attached to your house. As soon as the first viewer came to see ours i felt a bit sad. When is your follow up app at the Docs to discuss your cycle and when you can start again?

Lola - Monday is getting too near eh? You will be brilliant, can't wait to hear about you passing, when do you get the results?
What did your dh think about the footie result today then?

Steph - mmmmmyyuuum Italian i also love it. Its true, they have the best food. When i lived in Milan everyone said i would get obese with all the yummy food but i was the thinnest i've ever been. I'm so fussy about my pasta now and of course my cafe lattes.
You seem to be planning things out well, it will be so exciting our little Octo Babe is born in Sep.

Camilla - Of course your baby will be first. Have you thought about any names yet? Are you going to find out what sex it is?
My minis not a convertable just a cooper, pepper white, black roof, wing mirrors and viper stripes. Leather seats, chrome interior, cd player, AC etc etc---oh i can't wait. I'm this excited about a car imagine when my baby is on the way.

Walshy - How you doing Oz chick? Our dh's are chatting away happily over in the Octo Dudes and Little R's has also posted. Just have to get Steph and Lola's on board now. It's great they have someone to talk to like us. How are your coping since last cycle?

Well it seems i will be last in line for cycle no 3, which is quite upsetting as i want it NOW but hopefully you will all have BFP by then and i will follow the chain.
Have been with our friends today, cuddling their gorgeous baby again. Saw my dh having a lingering look my way, he said later that i WILL make the best mum but i can see he longs for it to happen, which breaks my heart. The strange thing is i feel quite paranoid when the baby wakes up as they always ask me if i want to hold her, do they do this because i don't have my own, do they feel sorry for me, do they think i'm desperate? Its a strange feeling but i'm so scared i will get desperate as i am starting to long for a baby more than i used to, this must be because its out of my control and i can't have one. I just pray this will work one day, i can't imagine if it never does.

Anyway, its meant to be sunny tomorrow so we're off for a BBQ at my mums and a relaxing day.

Hope you all having a good weekend.

Love Jen x

Ahoy from Panic HQ

Tomorrow's the day of reckoning - I am more than a little anxious my lovely 'obers. I am also exhausted - didn't sleep muy bien last night, too many factoids whizzing about my crumpled and limping brain. Cruel. It is sooo sunny here - I want to be outdoors. moan moan moan... does she ever give in?
OK, back later to whine some more,

I only hope that this will last forever no matter what the future holds...

About my name..... my dear Jen knows my name  I used the moniker for anonymity as there probably aren't that many infertile pilots' wives here in Dubai
Keep guessing girls

Love to you all....will post more tomorrow as DH is off to Walshy's town tomorrow early and so have the computer all to myself  ...along with all the chores

Excuse me? "Jen knows"?
Well, I've just had a look at the Rules and Regulations of October Thread Membership and to quote Reg 5 Section 1 a), "There shall be no Unilateral Name Knowledge". Hmmmm, a further perusal of the above Regs yields the following "in the case of discovered UNK, either the named or the namee must disclose, as soon as is reasonably practicable, the Name in question by whichever means they see fit".

I await namage tout suite. :D

Thanks for the good wishes, Rebecca? Rosie? Rhian?
I'm still avoiding... I have made list of essential last minute reads, it runs into 2 sides of A4 so I guess its time to stop mucking about and get back to work. NNOOOOOOOOOOOOO..............

Jen - glad that your coming through your low spot, we all go through ups and downs and thats entirely appropriate. As you say, onwards n upwards! All up the duff by end of the year!!!

Don't know when my exam results are out, I guess the middle of July as the last section is on 29th June. Thats one envelope I'll be needing help to open.. Y'know, if I scrape through this, I will never have to sit another exam in my life!! Wooo hooo! That'll be it! 36 years of exam taking OVER!!! Say a prayer for me and if you don't know any prayers, give me a chorus of She's A Laydeh!

Cheers Jen
I just had an accelerated 2 minute nervous breakdown. I hate exams - I get so anxious. Feel like I know nothing and will fail spectacularly. Ah well, either way, it'll be over... the resit is in January....can any of us go through this again? :D
Will pop in tomorrow evening when it's done and give you the full 360 degree dirty debrief after the 6 hours of heart sink humiliation by essay
Never mind, I'm sure R revealing her name will make me feel better  In the spirit of revealing stuff I'll go first and say, my name isn't actually Lola. Its a nom de plume. My real name is Bernard.

Bernard the Brain - You wil do well today when you sit your exams repeat after me you will do well after your exams......
I also do remember reading in our Rules and Regulations of October Thread Membership and to quote Reg 5 Section 1 a), "There shall be no Unilateral Name Knowledge".
Although I understand about the anonimity thing i was trying to do that but kept ending up writing my name in the bottom of the post and then my DH joined using his first name so there goes all our anonimity.
In regards to the Govt and the $4k bonus they do pay for alot of IVF. But i have to pay upfront and then claim it back (which is what we are saving for now). We pay around $5k and then get about $3.5k back so that is not bad for a cycle.

Little R - You should come over to the Oz land sometime an we could meet up.. I'd love taking people around the city and show them Sydney.... Same goes for any of you ladies if you ever come to the land downunder let me know and we can meet up. OK i am going to guess your name is it Rhonda, Rachel, or Rilo....

Jen - Did the two people who looked at your house make and offer??? Are you packing up your house yet? I hate the whole packing process I get excited when I first start labelling boxes and then about 1/2 an hour in lose interest quickly and end up stuffing it into the box.

Steph - Getting up at 5am and here i am bitching about my 7 oclock time. I do get up at 6.30 when i have to go to the clinic but even then it is not as bad as 5. How do you keep your eyes awake of a night time and watch Grays??? OUr second series has been advertised to start soon...How was your spaghetti was it as good as you remember?? I wonder if you will get any weird cravings like pickels and ice cream....

Me well i am still drinking my grass mixture. AF was here for about 5 mintues and then went not that you could count it as coming but I am hoping that it will come soon. You will be happy to know that I have lost 5.5 pounds..... Yay I am very excited with that loss we went and hired a walker so that I can get on there everyday before I go back in August and weigh alot less that what I am now ( i am aiming for 1-2 punds a week.) I had a moment yesturday where i demanded from my DH that I wanted to go back now and get pregnant NOW!!! Hence Mr Rational told me to wait and lose some weight and get mentally and physically ready. So I now even more dertermined to lose weight and get back quicker than August.
Ok talk to you guys later, Walshy

My Octofriends....

SO VERY HAPPY to find Mr Computer and Ms TV again
DH has flown off, but we have scheduled a "talk" once he gets back to discuss our next steps....
He wants to do the FET asap. I am not so sure....wouldn't it be better for my body to wait a little bit? Any thoughts/ comments would be welcome...
We will call our Dr this week privately and see what she suggests. I am a little confused and need time to process....
I'll keep you informed...

Well, it's definitely weird being home in Dubai and bearing the extreme temperatures. They have dropped to a mere 40°C, but it's nice and sticky
I much preferred being secluded at my parents' home and not having to handle reality.....reality bites!

Walshy....good to have your news... congrats on the loss of weight and the grassy beverage consumption. You're doing well! How's the kitchen going? How's your DH liking his new position? My DH has just flown off to your part of the world.... hey don't tempt me, I may definitely take you up on your offer if you are really serious. I have, shamefully, never been to Downunder and DH keeps pestering me to take the plane with him... we shall see. With your offer in mind, I may think twice about it   August is just around the corner....you'll see....

Lola....you know I am thinking of you all the time, lass.....we all believe in you and your incredible brain, Bernie    You certainly deserve a good break
Hmmm... not sure I agree with your Octorules and regulations Missy! Check your pm for deal  Maybe we can come to an agreement  Here's a hint.... it's already been mentioned

Jen....hope you're feeling smilier....the ups and downs are no fun, are they? I am actually experiencing it now... one day I feel fine, positive and ready to cope bravely with all the crap that we have been dealt and ready to get back in the IVF saddle....and other days, I can bearly muster enough energy to will myself out of bed. I think that I have a real problem......and am losing contact with all our friends who have children because I can't handle their happiness or my sadness (it's a bit of a blur..because everything reminds me of what we don't have). I feel empty and sad most of the time.... can't stand to see DH sad....
Anyway, knew I could share it with you all...
Mini, mini, mini----soon to be  You must send me a pic?
Thank you  ...my DH is pretty handsome, I must say...in uniform or without it

Steph...hope all is well with you two and that the bump is also enjoying the great pasta (my fav food!) . I could eat it every day  You take care of yourself.... BTW...we know and understand what you did before you got pregnant....some people and their insensitive comments

Camilla....hugs coming your way

Anyway.... bad news.... Grey's has been stopped until end of the World Cup....poor DH doesn't get to see many matches as he won't be around much this month.

Take care...more later...must check back to see Lola's news

Love,
