Hey everyone! Just got home from vacation. Suitcase is still by the front door. Before doing ANYTHING, I had to get online and catch up on this thread. Can you believe that? I'm addicted to you guys!

Glad to hear everyone is doing well. (Except Ahart's discomfort!).

Tracii, your maternity pants story cracked me up.

Madiva, I haven't had the numbness in my sleep. But I've had a terrible pain in my right side every time I sit - doc says it's "just a muscle". Sure feels like more than that.

Cla, I've never heard the term "piles", but I can figure out what you are referring to. I read all about that in a pregnancy book on the plane today. I think we're all in for them either during the pregnancy or after the delivery. Aren't we lucky?

Hey to everyone else!!!

The Big Scan
Madiva - June - BOY!
Cla - 1 June - Sex a suprise - gut feeling = boy!!!!
Julie - June - 21 wk scan kei te pai - sex a suprise!
KristiA - june 22 (find out sex of twins...gut feel of me & dh - boy/girl)
Mel P - june 23rd (sex tbc .... reckon its a GIRL!)
Bella - June 29 (big feeling it's a BOY)
Tracii - amnio 14 June, big scan with DH on 6 July Gut feeling = GIRL!
Sue - 3rd July (will be keeping it a surprise)
Ahart - 11th July (Twins ....)

Hee hee Tracii, your maternity pants strory cracks me up too. Just when you think your the only one doing something! Anyway from over in NZ a big cheers or "bottoms up" to baggy maternity pants! I wore my wonder checked shorts the other day and suddenly had a back side as saggy and bigger than my pot roast belly! (Hey no comments please they are nice fashionable knee length wool shorts ... not your jersey hot pant variety!)

Welcome to the growing group, so exciting to see the list growing, am in awe of all you guys you are holding out on peeking at the prezzie early and not finding out the sex!!

Gardening going on all round! Anybody else having early bouts of the nesting instinct? On the same night I baked a fruit pie and made a home made casserole for my hubby all in one night, this doesnt sound bizaree unless you know me, so he (and I) both think I have gone completely nuts!!

Felt muchas proud in the lift on the way home from work today, one of the older ladies I worked with saw me struggling to button up my coat and said ... "Oh! Your having a baby! How wonderful!" SOB! I wanted to hug her, although other people know, shes the first "stranger" to find out just from looking rather than rumour and then mention it right upfront. Most people too cautious to ask of course in case your reply is that no your not pregnant but that youve missed the last 4 weight watcher meetings.

Ciao for now. Cant wait for next Friday! Am so nervous too! You excited Kirsti? Happy holidays to you too.

sorry for the long gassing! Take care all

Hey Jessica

I just read up on your news on the 1st tri friends thread, just wanted to say well done honey, you've made if through a difficult few weeks. Am so glad for you that that your have been the through those difficult steps, that they are all over and now you can focus on getting on with and enjoying your pregnancy. Hopefully you can really relax and enjoy. Well done to you, DH and little bean, or if the books are to be believed around thsi time its less little bean and more "big spanish onion" or "sweet potato" (these are TRUE examples!) how come all the size comparisons are with vegatables! :D

Tracii,

Thanks for adding me!!! My gut feeling is that its a boy! I am not sure of the date for my next ultrasound, due to some difficulties I have had (and the result of my last pregnancy) I am high risk, so I had ultrasounds at 6, 8, 9, 11, 12 weeks - I had a cerclage put in so I will have an ultrasound next week (14 weeks) but it will probably still be too early to tell - then I see my regular dr at 15 weeks which he may send me for an ultrasound at 16 weeks but I will have to see - for now you can put me down for my gut feeling at least!!!

I do have to say that my little beanie is amazing on camera!!!

Thanks! Yes I feel like I can finally start to enjoy my pregnancy and hopefully things go positively going forward! My husband asked my all the baby size references have to refer to foods he likes to eat!!!! We all got a kick out of that one!

Yes, Mel, I've very excited for next week! Then I'm going to shop till I drop for all the baby stuff. And start decorating baby room(s).

Tracii, yes, we went to Disneyworld. Had a great time. Even though it was short, it was nice to get away. I'm leaving again to Vermont on business for the rest of the week. My babies are frequent flyers already!

Welcome Jessica & Heather over to the 2nd T!!!

Traci- thanks for adding me!!!!
Gut feeling for me is a boy which suits me fine. My DH thinks its a girl, so who knows!! The heartrate was 168 though but I don't think that the old wives tale is always true.
What do ya"ll think about the heartrate ??

Hi all of you!
Popped in to say hi and hope you're all taking care of yourselves- this is the lovely time in the whole 9 months, when you can relax a bit after the first tri and you're not too impatient or bored to want the baby to pop out!!

Jessica,
A special hello and good luck to you.. you seem to have had a tough couple of weeks emotionally and physically, but yes, like you say, you can sit back and enjoy now.Good Luck sweetie..
Hugs to all.
