Hi all, a big thank you for all your support over the last week or so, I really appreciated it.

I am just dropping in to confess that I gave in to the dreaded pee stick this evening, with my DH's backing. Did the test, left it in the bathroom and was too scared to check it after a couple of minutes, so DH went and fetched it. I am stunned, day 10 post transfer and we have a POSITIVE. I know it is early days, and have gone for first scan on previous pg's only to find no heartbeat. As I say, still v.v. early. But hopefully, when I have my hcg, I will get confirmation that all is as expected. Am not supposed to do my hcg until the 20th (another week) but may see if the clinic want me to do it earlier. I don't know what to do with myself at the moment, stunned is perhaps putting it mildly.

Anna, wishing you loads of luck for your trip to Barcelona, I hope my news will give you extra PMA and encouragement. Will be thinking about you both on Thursday.

Ali, good luck with your cycle next month. At a mere 40, I think you have made the right decision trying once more with your own eggs. If I were your age, I would have done the same. At least the DE option is there to fall back on if you should need it.

Tammy, hope AF behaves herself and arrives on time. Fingers crossed for you.

Son, so sorry that things didn't go to plan this time. Keep positive and July will soon be here. Thinking of you. x

Well I am off now to take my nightly cocktail of drugs. Can't complain, as I am sure that all this sticking needles in my butt and popping pills has had a great deal to do with my current status.

Speak soon,

Love to all,
Bev xxx

Bev: That is wonderful news!!!!!!!!! I am hoping for twins :D

Ali: Good luck on your upcoming cycle.

Anna: Good luck in Barcelona! Have a safe trip. We will be thinking of you and your embies.

I'm having awful cramps today. I don't know why, since AF is not expected for another 1 - 1.5 weeks. DH and I grilled out with a glass of wine and talked about the adoption. He really only wants one more child. I'm thinking to myself, why do another IVF then, since we are going to adopt for sure. Men!!!!!!!!

Take care all !!

Regards,
Tammy

Bev T - fantasic news!!! I will keep everything crossed for you - take it easy and try and relax, if you can! What drugs are you taking at the moment?

Anna - Good luck tomorrow with your ET in Barcelona, hope you have a great trip and all goes well.

Tammy - hope your cramps have subsided and AF waits until right time. Good luck with winning your DH around to 2 more children - open another bottle of wine tonight!!

Thanks for all your positive comments on our decision to try again using my own eggs, it's so nice to have all of you there and be able to talk things through.
Take care everyone

Just popped in to catch up.

We are still pondering, however, DE is looking more & more the only option as I dont think with FSH at 11.4 it is worth the effort and emotion.

Bev what wonderful news :D I am keeping my fingers I toes crossed although the toes are a bit painful in shoes!!

Anna go girl best of luck for tomorrow hope everything goes really smoothly and you follow Bev in Bev footsteps

Hello to everyone else

Gail

Bev,
That's great news!!!! I'm so happy for you.
Tammy,
How much longer before you get your baby girl from China? We are having such a wonderful time with our precious little baby girl while still coming to terms with her medical prognosis. We bought her the most adorable little itsy bitsy teenie weeine hot pink bathing suit today. She's still wearing size 0to 3 mos. and it's got little boy short style bottoms with a bikini top. She has a bigger wardrobe than I do! Little sundresses and warm snuggly jammies for sleeping in the air conditioning. Despite her illnesses we wouldn't have missed the opportunity of loving her and helping her bio mom give her a happy life ....as short as it may be. More later...princess calls.

Lisa:

Our paperwork went to China on June 2nd. We will not get our angel until next summer or fall. I am so impatient! I have bought Elena quite a few outfits thus far. I even bought her bed and dresser. I want to get her room all set up by the end of summer. DH has to add a closet and I'm going to paint. I'm so happy for you! You seem to be a natural!!

Gail: It was nice to hear from you.

Take care all!!!!!

Tammy

Hi everyone, happy weekend to you all. Thank you ALL for all your messages of congratulations you have sent. I am still reeling.

I am hoping to get my blood test done on Monday, so maybe will have my beta that evening, or perhaps Tuesday. I have been like a cat on a hot tin roof, wishing that I could get it done sooner, but the nurse was not very forthcoming. Oh well, only have to wait till after the weekend now.

Smita, thanks for sending your congrats, I am hoping for a little darling like you have. I just love little girls. Trying to keep my feet on the ground, still a long way to go. It's so nice that you have managed to keep in touch with everyone on the boards, your life must be a bit busier now you have little Drhuvaa.

Anna, wow, back home and embies snuggling in. That's great news. When you have time, come back and tell us how you found Barcelona. How many eggs did you have, and have they managed to bank any for you in the freezer? Good luck with your 2 ww - and I am really looking forward to offering my congrats to you also in another 12 days or maybe less!!!x

Hi Tammy, great that things are finally underway with your adoption. Such a drag that you have to wait until next year for your precious Elena. Enjoy getting ready for her.

Lisa, oh it sounds like your house is full of love at the moment. The image I am getting in my head of your little princess in her itsy bitsy teenie weenie hot pink bathers is truly gorgeous. Long may it continue.

Gail, good to hear from you. Hope you get to the end of your "pondering" and come up with a decision soon. Any help or info you would like re DE tmt in Kiev, please don't hesitate to pm me. It's not surprising that you are very tearie for no reason at the moment. There is every reason, it is just in your sub-conscious so are not aware of the "reason". When you are going through such huge decision processes, having to decide whether to give up on your own eggs or not, I really am not surprised one little bit. Take care of yourself, and try to avoid the HRT if you can.x

Hi Caz, hope you're doing ok.x

Alison, good luck with yur tmt at IM. August isn't long to wait.

Hi Ali, not long for you now, next month will be here in a flash.

I'll be back after my beta, to let you know how things are looking,
Bev xxx

Hello all
Sorry haven't been about but have been having a rest from all this. Mallorca was lovely, France in 3 weeks. Safari booked for New Year!! It's the first time we have ever booked anything so far in advance - shows we must be coming to accept we will always be just the 2 of us, doesn't it?

Anna - glad to see ET went well - did you meet the lovely Dr Olivares? 29th June is my 10th wedding anniversary so hope it's lucky for you too.

Bev - congrats - isn't it true you can't get a false positive?

The girl at work who is due when I would have been left yesterday to go on here maternity leave so at least i don't have to see her any more.

Hope everyone has as nice weather as we have here, am in the garden squinting at the laptop as I type this...

Hello to the new people, welcome to the best thread on the boards!

Lots of love

Hi ladies,

Have not been round too much. I have breifly went over our board and saw some good news from Bev. I am here to provide more: I have a positive HPT at 7dp3dt (7 days post 3 day embryo transfer). I have done several tests and they all positive, one is a tiny little darker than the previous one, I am now at 10dp3dt. However, my beta test only scheduled on next Wed and I will update after the official test.

Thank you so much for listening and good luck to everyone.
