Hello ladies. Another beautiful day in ImageAberdeen. Hard to believe! Welcome Jackie. Good luck Em tomorrow.
Rachel hope yo're feeling better. I feel awful. Got the most horrendous AF just now. I'm so upset because I'm going to have one on holiday. Last holiday I got tablets to stop my af but obv I can't this time as it'll interfere with the IVF cycle. I suppose it's for a very good reason. I'm so excited. Fly down to Manchester on the 2nd and leave for Cuba on the 3rd. Image Speak to you all soon. Paula x

Hi girls,

Feeling blue so just a quick one. Had my IUI this morning but they also did a BT just to check I was ovulating, but then I got a call from the clinic that I hadn't ovulated and so I had to rush in after work for a shot of hcG and then we have to do the whole IUI again tomorrow. It was so painful this morning and I have had cramps all day. Now I have to go and do it again tomorrow.

I'll be back tomorrow.

Hi all. I'm a bit p****ed off today. I had my BT today and the nurse made up my protocol. My baseline scan and BT should be on Tues 18 July but as we're on holiday it'll be the 19th. When she was working out my protocol it looks like DH will be away the day before ER!!!!!!!! I siad that we were freezing a sample but she siad if it's not good enough it might not survive the freezing process therefore resulting in cancellation of ER.    She suggested waiting till next AF but again we could be in the same situation. I just don't know what to do. I've tried to get an earlier flight into Aberdeen before midday so I could go to the clinic to get my tests done before luch time. No flights. I don't think we'd make it driving - our flight gets in at 6.20 am and we'd need to be at the clinic before lunch time. Is it possible? I could hire a Ferrari. THere's no way my DH can change his dates as he's on a strict rota. Help! What do I do?????????????
Em -don't worry. It'll all work out. I'm so sick my AF came late coz if it had been on time I wouldn't be in this situation. Has anyone heard of anyone starting the FSH without getting the bloods and scan done. I thought they'd know by my last treatment. Sorry for the long message just about me but I know I can talk to you all. DH is away. Paula x

Paula, I am so sorry for all the obstacles falling in your way. I hope you will get everything worked out. I hope everyone else is doing well. IVF is a nightmare. It is not fair that we have to work so hard for this, when there is people out there getting pregnant in such bad situations. For example, my husbands distant cousin that was thirteen when she got pg just had the baby and is keeping it. It is these sorts of things that aggravate me. Believe it or not I am keeping up a PMA about this whole thing. I just have to keep thinking that 1 year ago I was thinking that it was the end of line for us having a baby ourselves (maybe would think about adoption) but now there is this one more thing we can try. At least there is that. sorry for the long rant.

Hi Ladies,

Hope you are all having a reasonable week, sounds like a couple of you are having a bad time.

Jemima - Welcome to the group and good luck with your cycle.

Paula - I hope everything gets sorted for you to do your IVF cycle and enjoy your holiday in sunny Cuba. I'm sure everything wll work out fine and you can relax and enjoy the sun and sea and maybe a bit of sex before all the waiting.....

Em - Sounds like you have got off to a good start finally, sending you lots of sticky baby dust and PMA, just relax and take it easy.....

Rachel - Good luck in you upcoming appointment, let's hope they can sort things out for you so you can start as soon as possible.

Well i've been having a few bad days been getting really down and upset, poor DH has had the worst of it.
As much as i'm really really really pleased for all the ladies who have had BFP's in June, the little green man has reared his ugly head. I know i'm starting another cycle this month but it still doesn't make the fact that the last cycle this month failed feel any better.

I feel like it's so unfair, why can't i be one of the successful ones, why for once can't i have a BFP that makes it to the end and gives us a beautiful healthy baby. What did i do so wrong to deserve all this heartache!!!

I'm beginning to think that we should look into adoption now, we were going to adopt even if we were lucky enough to have a baby of our own.
I've, we'll i should say we've been through so much and i really don't know if i can stand another failed pregnancy or lost pregnancy.

Sorry for the rant but i needed to get it out my system, there is only so much ranting you can do to you DH.

Give me a day or two and i will be back to my usual happy, optomistic and strong self.

Thanks for listening.

Rachel OXO

Rach,

You're only saying what everyone else is feeling! I know what you mean about the green man! I normally go on the April thread but everyone seems to have had BFP's except me and I'v just started my 2ww. I feel so frustrated and don't think it'll ever be my turn.

On a lighter note, I read a book the other day where the guy (professor at sydney IVF) said that infertility is nature's way of controlling the population and that infertile people are meerly incredibly evolved humans! I like that thought very much!

Cheers em
