Hi to everyone else sorry a bit short on the personals I am mega fed up at the moment. We had a great weekend away for our wedding anniversary but my AF was 7 days late when we went away and I didn’t feel particularly well, we have just got back and now 10 days late so I gave in and did a test. I didn’t really want to test because I was really beginning to feel that I was pregnant and I didn’t want to shatter the dream. Anyway sure enough I have done the test and its negative. So I am feeling very sorry for myself at the moment.

Gail honey hope you are ok? We've all done that when AF is late including me...... don't get tough on yourself. One day you will look back on all this when you have your little one and it will all seem a thing of the past. Til then doll just try and stay positive as much as you can and give dh plenty of hugs and do plenty of nice things. Sending you loads of hugs xxxx

Nicki how was the wedding? Wouldn't it be weird if we end up doing the iui on exactly the same date?? With same test date??!!

Have nursing discussion on the 19th June now - should find out about our donor's characteristics.

OH gail...what a bummer i hate thqt feeling when you just kid yourself that AF pains are actually a BFP...Hope you are more yourself soon..

it hit me hard on Friday when i went for my test ( knowing it would be a neg) but hoping with all my heart i was wrong....I crashed and burned big time on friday night when Adam got home. Poor Adam too as he had done an 80hr week and was upset too...we have had a nurturing weekend ...I go back in 2 months to see the consultant and will beg for more funding ( i got no frosties so hoping they will give me another go at a fresh)...And if we have to pay we have decided to get a bigger mortgage and stick away enough dosh for 3 more ivf's then that will be it...so fingers crossed.

I am going back up north with Adam tomorrow night ( just wanting some time and space to heal my wounds) and will be away until wed 21st ( gosh June is fair flying by) so will catch you all then in time for DIUI's kick off....Julie enjoy your sunshine holiday getting ready for your kick off in July... ( sorry about the footie phrasing but it's everywhere just now!

Lisa, looks like I wont be cycling with you now, the clinic just called to say they have no sperm..... I cant believe it, after all the chats we had and me saying my clinic is ok and blah blah blah, they have totally nothing left, I feel that they have been leading me along, and wish they said something earlier they still call up on day 1 of AF in case they have some between now and then but in the mean time I am on a waiting list, I am 3rd so guess thats not so bad but if they dont have enough in by 27th June thats it, I am not going til when AF comes end of Aug, she said it could be anything up too 4 months though......Arghhhhh!!!!!

I am so cross!!! I am so sad, been crying so much today...

So now it's fingers crossed that they do get sperm for 27th......

If not then does that mean I will have remain childless????


Lisa, How's dh now??? /After the op??? I am thinking that my dh really must have the op as if he has sperm then hay you never know all this donor shortage stress and tears will be for nothing xx

NICKI - Sorry about your news....when does this treatment lark ever become simple?! Fingers crossed the stocks will be avail for you on 27th, you never know. Look what happened to Lis!!! As for the op my DH had the same and he was v sore for about a week and had discomfort for a couple more. He has an active job so was off for 3 weeks. It isn't pleasant but unlike poor Lis it was worth it for us. Keep your chin up. xxx

GAIL - Hope you are feeling better and a bit stronger now. We have all been there with the test kits because you just never know even though we do know!!!!! Big hugs to you. xxx

Nicki honey I am soo sorry to hear that. I am totally gutted for you as I so know how you feel! Even now I am still not convinced this is all going ahead for us. I told the nurse about my uncertainties when I was on the phone the other day and she said she had no reason to suspect there would be a problem with ordering but that I should phone on Thursday to double check its in. Have you thought of asking them if you can buy it in yourself from abroad? I heard of a company from America on another site that you can buy it from - I can pm you with more info if you like. Apparently the only reason Edinburgh has been successful is that the clinic supplying it is only supplying to 3 - 4 centres in Britain now beause of the shortage and has stopped supplying elsewhere

Have you spoke to dh about biopsy?? My dh is fine now - no probs or pains but like Julie's dh had pain for a fortnight then niggles for another week. Obviously for us it was mega heartache and tears for nothing but it was def the right decision for us to go ahead as we had to know for sure if he had swimmers. Sending you lots of hugs doll xxxx

Jen glad you are going up North with Aam for tlc - you take care of yourself doll you strong cookie I keep everything crossed that you will get funding again.

No news from me except AF still hasn’t arrived. I am now on Day 40 and tearing my hair out. I was meant to be starting Clomid on Day 2 of this cycle ready for natural FET.

Got confirmation today that my clinic has received their supplies of donor sperm so its a definite that we're secure for 10 cycles iui. Still can't believe it. First bit of good news in 8 months.

Lisa I am sure u will get BFP by the end of 10 cycles, will u do one after another or wait inbetween??

If I was u I would just keep going, each mth til you get BFP.

It's 10% chance per cycle so 10 cycles = 100% xxx

I am worried at the moment about my knee, it's started aching and now its worse, i can hardly walk, does hurt at all when just sitting or standing but as soon as i move to walk or bend it, OUCH!!!
Dh said just rest it and sleep on it, but actually I am worried as it's not like I just fell over it just started to ache, and i hadnt even done anything...

Anyway, totally off the fertility issue but worried still, anyway guys, hope u have all had a good saturday xxx
