Hola Paula
Muy bien, tu hablas espanol?
It is really roasting here now - unusually hot for June, we are hoping for a great big storm to clear the air as it is so muggy. I am starting to wonder if I have made the right decision to start my treatment at the end of July!
I am not sure when I will start with those lovely injections again, they don't seem to tell you so much here it's a case of wait and see. I think they are going to change things around a bit for us this time, I was on Gonal F last time (300) as I am 39 (soon to be 40 unfortunately). What drugs did you take last time and are they going to change yours at all?
I hear you have been having some great weather in the UK - is it still summer there?
gracias y hasta luego 8)

Jordon, hun, I don't wish to burst your bubble, but Lupron is nothing compared to the others.
I'm such a chicken shit, it took 4 hrs for the Dr to give me a shot in the butt, so he won't prescribe me intermuscular shots unless there is no other choice.

I have to have Estrogen jabs twice a week this cycle because my lining doesn't grow properly, and i'm bricking it.
It is mixed with oil and is very thick so it's a big needle, and to top it off hubby is doing it....

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Told you i'm such a chicken.

I'm on the progesterone pesseries but they are such a pain it messes up your day if you have to take them 3 times a day, like i do.

But like you said whatever it takes.

This new progesterone jab sounds good, but why do you still have to use the pesseries???

Take care
Rachel

Oh thank you dear Rachel. ImagePrivate question -how's your ticker problem? Hee heeImage Poor you with the injections. I don't know if we get that in the UK. At my clinic I've just been given the pessaries. Messy or what but we'll do anything.

Hola mi amiga Ali. I was on Buserlin then Gonal F 150. I was told at my review app that I would go up to 225. I only got 5 eggs and only 2 were ok after fertilization. Hoping to get more so we can freeze them. Have you lived in Spain long? My dad used to live in Gran Canaria and I would go out every holiday I had. If I hadn't have met my DH I would have been living in Spain. I love everything about Spain. We had lovely weather for a couple of weeks but it's now raining.Image

Hello to everyone else. Baby making dust to us all.Image

I guess I am just LUCKY... Bahahahhahahhaha I know I always said that I would rather have the shot then the presseries... so now I have both.. JOY... I guess they are just being very very careful.. I know I had issues with low progesterone when I did the IUIs so I am sure that has something to do with it... JOY!!!!

My DH's is July 5th and we will be back in England for it.

Mine's not till 29th Dec, mind you not that i'm in any hurry to get any older.

As for my ticker, well wouldn't you like to know

No seriously i've given up trying to do it so i type it in now i know it almost by heart....how sad!!!

Better to be safe than sorry hey Jordan, i don't blame them giving you both, i suffer from low progesterone too.

Have a nice day ladies, I'm off to get my hair done, got to get rid of all these grey hairs before i get a BFP...........

Hugs
Rachel OXO

My birthday is the 11th Aug so hopefully i will have a BFP by then and i will then have a great birthday.

Rachel sorry to hear that you are having a hard time with injections. Is it very painful or is it the thought of it in your bum!!! have you tried ice on the area before and after the injection that can sometimes help.

What a shame England has just drawn in the football!!!!!

I am scottish but DH is English.

Hola Paula
We have lived here for 4 years now and we love it, it's such a different lifestyle to the UK, not to mention the weather - although we are still hoping for some rain to cool things down a little. Mind you don't want any rain in a couple of weeks as we are having a party at home for my birthday (big 40 on 6 July).
I only produced 5 eggs too but only 1 fertilised (using ICSI) which is why they are planning to adjust my drugs a little this time I think to try and give it that little bit of an extra boost! It's a shame we both didn't get to freeze any last time isn't it - it would save going through all those awful injections again, hey ho.
Good luck with the jabs Rachel, hopefully it will all be worth it!!
It's amazing what we all get used to doing isn't it, if someone had of said to me that I would be sticking 3 needles in myself everyday I would have said no way - but you do.
Make sure there is no turbulence when you have to do your jabs Rachel OXO :!:
Hi to everyone else and good luck to all
Love Ali xx

Thank you everyone, sorry it takes a long time...

Paula, so glad you are staying with us.

I just had a short period, only 3 little spots for 3 days. DR (DR for Doctor, right?) said it was normal because I just had histeroscopy. He said it should be normal on July so that I could start my program. I hope it will back to normal.
It was so difficult to communicate with my doctor because we are apart. I know I can email or SMS him, but sometimes it is not enough. I also do not have anybody to share about this IVF because it is not a common talk.
I am so lucky to find this site. I am totally blind about IVF. But IVF is the only things that make my dream come true.
Don't hate me if I don't know what is BFP, ET, MTHFR, FET, ER and etc. I still learn about it :( . I am also sorry for My English. I still need dictionary to write and read. :D

Wish you all the best

Luv

Hi everyone. Great news, Nicola. It's so exciting.

Jemima - BFP - big fat positive, ET - egg transfer, FET -frozen egg transfer. I still don't know all of them yet! I think the only one we want to use and have is the BFP. On the general forum page under abbrev is good for the millions of abbrev.

Rachel - my birthday is 11th Nov (37 aaargh)

Susan - where in Bonnie Scotland are you from?

Rileydee - great your sister starts tom.

Ali - hope it's cooled down for you a bit. Can you imagine what it'll be like when you get preg in the heat. Lots of ice cubes will be necessary. agua sin gas!Image

Rachel - how's your hair? Everytime I look in the mirror I'm sure I see another grey hair!
Em - how are you coping with the 2WW?

Jeck - good luck tom with your drugs

Hi to everyone else. Paula
