Hi,

My name is Michelle. I had posted back in April/May during my second failed IVF cycle. Since then I have had one more attempt which was cancelled due to my levels dropping. I am now on my 4th attempt. I had not been very excited until today. I had found it harder to get excited with each disappointment. Unfortunately, I have been surrounded by pregnant people making it even more difficult.

I have now switched clinics and am on different drugs. I went from a lupron/follistem regimen to antigon, repronex, bravelle regimen. And so far it seems to be making a huge difference. In my first two cycles, my lining never got above an 8. This time my lining is already at 9.2. So, today I am excited.

I go back for my last ultrasound on Sunday. As of now, my retrieval is expected to on Tuesday with my transfer on Sunday.

I pray for God to answer all our prayers and bless us with children.

Michelle

Can I join you?

Post by lm »

Hi all,

I thought I would try to join this July thread. I started Lupron on June 18th and will supposively start stims on July 8th. I have a baseline u/s and b/w July 3. I hope this all goes quickly!

I have a question for those of you that have done this before or are already past the BCP point....my dr had me start my BCPs on cd 5. I take the last pill on Sunday. I am on a daily Lupron injection. If my cycle is noramally 28 days....when should I expect AF?? Just curious and wanting to be prepared for her arrival! :?

I also wanted to know if any of you have tried accupunture or have heard of possitive results with it? I have also heard rumors of fresh pineapple and brazil nuts...anyone here heard of these?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi all. Well I'm feeling fine today. Could be that I got up at 11! One more week of school. So looking forward to my 7WEEK break. How lucky am I!Image Great to see so many people joining. I got my protocol sent to me today but it's for the wrong dates. It was for the one I thought I could start but because DH will be away can't start it. Left them a message so I've to phone from Cuba when my AF starts or I'll text someone from home and they'll phone them. I went to visit my friend on Wed and her baby is 3 wks old. When I held him I said to myself 'when am I going to be able to do with this wih our child?' I've got a BBQ to and it's raining. Typical! Enjoy your weekend. Paula x Image

Hi ladies

Hope I can join your thread. I've had a little break of a few months, when the doctors told us to go away and try naturally (!!). This hasn't worked and I'm so stressed out my cycles are all over the place. Anyway, to cut a long story short we're trying one last natural IUI. IUI will be in a week or so, so I guess I'll be testing Mid July. If this doesn't work, we've got an appt at a new clinic in August, to do IVF again in Sept.

What a rollercoaster... will it ever end?? I'm thinking of giving up work for 6 months to see if it does anything for my stress levels!

Anyway, wanted to wish you ladies all the luck in the world. The sun is shining and I'm hoping it shines on us all next month!

Hi Ladies, Hope your all having a good weekend....

Well i'm hobbling well, thank you for the kind thoughts......

Boy do i feel a fool  and DH won't stop taking the piss!!!!!

We have booked a wheelchair for the flights home, which should make gettng through the airports and security much easier, so one good thing came out of it....

Welcome to all the newbie's and good luck with your cycles.

Paula - I have to call my Dr's office from England when i get my period too. They say i should get it 4th July.

I went for DH's injection training session on Thursday, I now have 2 green squares drawn on my butt with permanent pen, so DH knows where to stick me.
We spoke to the Dr and he is very confident that this cycle will work, he says apart from my lining, he doesn't see any other reason why i shouldn't become pregnant as they can't see anything else wrong with me. He is also convinced that he has my lining problem fixed.

So i am full of PMA at the moment and feel so much better about it all, but i'm not getting my hopes up too much.

As i have so much PMA, i am sending lots out to you all....

PMA PMA PMA PMA PMA PMA PMA PMA PMA PMA

lm - They say you should start your period around 7 days after starting the lupron. your 28 day cycle doesn't mean anything now as the lupron turns the pituitary gland off and the pill controls when you start you period.

Well i like the idea of having a happy and laughing 2WW, but just one problem, if they stuck me in a room with clowns, i would be very stressed out as clowns scare the shit out of me!!!!!
Give me all the series of M.A.S.H and i will be wetting myself laughing.
I watch it when we go to bed at night, DH is snoring next to me then jumps out his skin when i burst out laughing.

All you ladies enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Hugs
Rachel OXO

hi all.
Image Bec. What a time you've had. Lots of luck with your next treatment.
Rachel - mine's meant to come on the 8th when I'm on holiday! You'll need L plates for your wheelchair!
Nicola - When I saw you I was walking to pick up DH's car from the garage. I was lucky that they took his car in last night to save me dropping it off at 8 this morning.
What weird weather we've been having in Aberdeen - warm one minute then pouring rain. Me and the dog got soaked yesterday walking back from the garage. I looked as if I'd just stepped out of the shower.

Hi girls,

Dory - Your poor toe! I hope being accident prone increases your chances of success!!!!! What does Zita say on the topic????

Well I was feeling positive about this cycle. I felt different, more relaxed, then last time. Last cycle, I struggled through the 2ww and felt I needed a glass of wine a night to keep my head. This time I haven't touched a drop - I haven't felt I've needed to. I was absolutely starving the first week and then the last 4 nights I have been in bed by 9:30 exhausted. I don't feel AF coming, but I don't have sore breasts or any other signs that the pregnant women talk of.

I was naughty and did a HPT on friday morning. It was BFN, of course. I know I said I wanted to be taken down a peg or two, but that knocked me out of the whole stupid tree! The test is only sensative for 5 days prior to AF due so it was way to early to test....I guess I'll cling to that. I still feel ok.

Well hello, newbies. I'm an imposter on this site....I was meant to be testing in July but AF came early and I started early so I just stayed on. They are all nice girls in here.

Hugs to all,

Em

Hi there
Have you got room for a little one. I was posting over on intros with cat and was advised by nicky to pop over here (cheers nicky).
Well my name is wendy and i'm going for my base line scan on wednesday then hopefully start stimming. So far my down regging on buseralin has gone great with just a couple of hot flushes over the last few days. Was making breakfast this morning and burst out crying cos my sister had an abortion yesterday and is looking for me to give her some support. I'm trying but it's hard. Sorry to vent that on my first post but i'm not allowed to tell anyone and find it hard keeping it to myself.
All you girls are so nice, hope to get to know you all

Hi All,how is everyone today?? Rachel, not good about your toe,but look on the bright side, you'll get to board first, and have a much better airport experience, they are good with wheelchair users,so chin up!!....Xray,i know how difficult the 2ww is,its an absolute bloody nightmare, everyday feel like a week!!,but your HPT was way too soon,so just hold on to the PMA PMA PMA...Wendy,im glad you came,im so sorry bout your sister,it must be an awful time for you,my friend thought she was pregnant few months ago and wanted me to go with her for her abortion,i just sais sorry no,id usually support her,but hell,im DESPERATE for a baby, and she wanted me to go help her get rid of one,no way,and im not anti abortion, each to their own,it was just too much for me to bear,so just have lots of good thoughts about when you finally get pregnant, and try not too let it get you down,we all need lots of PMA....Bec,welcome im sorry youve had suh a hard time, and you're right it seems to be a rollercoaster, you just never get off, lots and lots of luck this time...Lara, i agree, every bloody where i turn,i see pregnant ladies,or newborns, its just so hard isnt it??...Paula,i was on my way to see my friend to go into town and also got caught in the downpour, went out clubbing last night, was supposed to take my mind off things before i give up alcohol again for next cycle, the hangover today, tells me it worked!! Let me know if you fancy a diet coke later this week.....Well if laughter is really supposed to help,im taking the 2ww off work anyway,so im going to rent every episode of Only Fools and Horses, and lie in bed and watch them back to back, ill laugh for the whole time!!!....Take care ladies..Cmon Xray, you have to give us our first BFP of the month and get us off to a good start..Lots of love and luck..Nicola..xx

Hi girls
Thanks for the warm welcome, it was great to that secret off my chest.

Jordon... Looks like we'll be starting stimms on the same day. This is great. Are you going to be on menopure? How long have you been down regging?

Rachel... Have you ever seen takeshies castle on challange that's always good for laugh. Must watch will and grace though i've heard so much good stuff about it

Nicola... Thanks for the advice, i'm like you not anti abortion but don't need it in our life at the moment.

Thanks again girls

Wendy,

I just read your post regarding your sister. I do feel for you. 10 years ago I miscarried my first pregnancy at 14 weeks. At the same time I had to comfort my niece that had decided to have an abortion. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do.... I've always wondered ever since if there is a god up there and if so why this very cruel twist of fate.

Hope you are okay as a result of what's happened. You deserve better and your time will come honey, mark my word.
