Swimming is supposed to be absolutely fine, but to be honest, I was so desperate not to let anything go wrong that I only showered until 6 weeks (then had 2 min baths) and didn't start swimming until after fast scan and a couple of weeks later - about 10 weeks. That said, I probably worry too much, but it worked for me!

Swimming is supposed to be the best exersize you can do and I have been swimming since week 4.
One thing I will say is,as time goes on you will notice how much slower you will become. I used to be able to swim 25m in 30 seconds, now it takes me 1 1/2 mins. Also, once, I forgot I was pregnant (how can anyone forget!!!) and pushed away from the side of the pool with my feet and pulled all my muscles. I do not reccommend this!! I had to get out of the pool straight away in agony. Luckily no damage done.
Have fun and enjoy
