Hi Anna,

Just replying to your message, are you having your hcg done via your GP's? If so, I am sure that the nurse can ring the Lab that day, late afternoon to get the result. I had mine done at 9 am and the nurse rang me back at 5.30pm, she had rung through to get my result for me - bless her. At least that was one thing my GP's surgery were helpful with!! I would imagine you will get your result that evening or in any event by Friday. I think it would be really really mean of them to make you wait until Monday! Good luck honey, we are all rooting for you.

Bev,
I din't know you could get a blood test at the GP. I don't trust these pee sticks at all. If (and it's a big IF) my AF syptoms go away and I do feel I need to test, how do I get myself a blood test?

Hi Lynne,

I just rang and asked to speak to the practice nurse, told her that I had done a positive pee stick and would like a blood test to measure my hcg levels. She made the appt. for me, and I got the result the same day.

I suppose it is going to depend on each surgery as to how they would view a request, but years ago, before the frequent use of pee sticks, I believe that is how you confirmed your pregnancy, by having a blood test at your doctors.

However, if you are having tmt via a private clinic, they may say you have to wait until your test date and have your blood test done at your clinic.

Good luck.

Wishing you the BFP you so deserve. Thinking of you and do hope that they don't keep you waiting too long with the results of your test!

Hi Anna,

Only one more day to go. How are you bearing up? Still resisting the pee sticks?

Looking forward to hearing your good news.
