Hey all you awsome ladies,
Rachel- I'm not sure what guage they are? When the nurse was showing dh how to do them, she pulled out the first needle (this is my first rodeo u know) and I about #!@t myself! But I guess you use a bigger one to load the syringe and then change to a smaller one. The one you really use is still big, but thankfully, dh gave it and I didn't even feel it. I'm not real sure what the side effects are. I do take it on Tues and Fri. Yah tonight!! I gave myself my lupron shot this morning and I started bleeding and it hurt. It has never hurt. I must of hit something. And ya, I couldn't remember whether she said mm or centimeters/so ya she said mm on my lining. I hope your getting around alright. I'm glad you are on track and can start you lupron. I think one of the side effects is mood swings, cause man! I've been a rageing b#%@. Things keep flying out of my mouth and I'm like, Oh hell, I'm so sorry. I work with all guys thank goodness, cause they just let what I say roll off. Baby dust to all of us!!!

Hello All!!!

I had my E2 blood test on monday and it was 129 and they were shooting for 150 so they upped my estrace pills. I have to take 6 a day thru Friday and then 10 a day on Sat and Sun. whew... Then I have E2 and US on July 3rd, if my lining looks good they will schedule my FET!!!!!!! I am so ready!

Please keep me in your prayers, I believe in the power of prayer and I don't think you can ever have too many!!!

Rileydee -- Glad it went well with the shrink!!! Are you still having hot flashes??? I am and it is mostly at night and I don't sleep well when I am hot. So I am tired all the time it seems!!! Hey, do you know what the difference is between the estrogen shots and the estrace pills that I am taking?? I am not complaining because the pills are better than a shot, no offense  Just curious though?!

Paula -- How many days till your trip?!?!?! Hope you have a great time!!!

Rachel-- Hope you have a great flight and wonderful trip!!! Keep those toes safe!! Sorry about your scare, glad everything turned out fine!

Melissa-- Welcome! I am doing accupuncture also! Have no idea if it will help but I sure am in a good mood when I leave the session!! Maybe it will help.

Ems1971-- Great job on telling your boss. I not telling mine and I am just taking off 2-3 days for transfer. I have a desk job so it is pretty easy on the body. I'm a very private person and I don't like sharing info at work

Nicola-- I know exactly mean about not telling at work. I didn't tell last time and when I lost the baby I knew that I had to tell and I told by boss and he respected my privacy and I am so thankful for that. He told all my co workers that I had the flu so I didn't have to face any awkardness like I did at my last job when I had my ectopic. I feel bad about taking days off but your right Baby making is the most important job at the moment!!!

Hello Cat and Wendy! Good Luck!!

Sorry If I missed anyone!

Sending out my prayers and lots of baby dust!!

Hi all
Sorry i haven't posted for a while, wanted to wait until my scan today to see where i'm up to.
Well good news, my lining is nice and thin so i can start stimming on saturday. I'm so pleased cos i was dead worried about it. Thought i may have been held back a couple of weeks. They also told me that i'm scheduald for a general ana for egg collection so that's also a load off my mind. Image Thanks everyone for all the well wishes about my sister but i'm fine with it now.

Hi ladies,

Thank you for the kind thoughts and wishes!!!

Well i'm still in USA, my flights were messed up yesterday because of the weather in Washington. We have lost 24 hrs off our trip. We fly from Cincinnatti at 7pm tonight.
So hopefully we will get somewhere today.

I started my lupron yesterday, getting an old hand at doing it as this is my third cycle.

Well have a good week all and i will post from England when i get there.

Hugs Rachel OXO

Helloooo ladies,
Jeck-I was wondering the same thing about the pill or the shots. Because I would much rather take the pills. But, I had another shot last night and dh is really good. I don't feel a thing. He makes it so easy. I am still having hot flashes. I have them at night too. I went and purchased a window air conditioner last night for dh to put the bedroom. I slept great last night.
Tonia-thats great your starting stims. I will keep you in my prayers for sure!!

Jeck / Rileydee

I got told by my Dr that Estrodial Valerate injections are more effective because the medication goes directly to the place it needs to be rather than going all through you digestive system and liver and then there isn't so much of the medication left to be absorbed into where it's needed.

You mainly have the shots if you don't respond to the tablets as you should do.

I have to have the shots because my lining took to long to grow to the right thickness with the tablets.
The shots will make the lining grow quicker, so i have the right thickness of lining when i have my ultrasound. last time they had to delay my transfer for a week because it wasn't thick enough.

Hense why i'm on the injections this time.

Jeck, don't worry that the tablets arn't doing as good a jab as the jabs do, they will probably work perfectly well for you, and you probably don't need such a strong dose. It sounds like your lining is coming on very well.

Rileydee - Sounds like i got hot flashes to look forward to then

Good news that your DH is doing such a great job with the jabs, i only hope my DH is as good.

I'm going to get him to practice on a orange first

Take care ladies

Hey Rachel-
Thanks for the Info. I do need a good dose of estrogen considering I practically have no ovaries to produce it. Did you get hot flashes before? They are miserable. And just the part of the year when it starts to get insanely hot here. I'd rather be cold anytime. I hate the heat and always have. It makes me mean. I have been a golfer since I was small, I just used to handle the heat alot better than I do now. This too shall pass eh?

Hi Girls,

I am happy to hear all is going well and like many also believe in the power of prayer during this time.

Sounds to me as many of you have had much better luck with your lining than I have had. My lining in the past never made it past an 8. At the last measurement I was almost a 9. Yesterday was my retrieval, 13 eggs were retrieved. I should find out tomorrow the number and grade of the embryos. Does anyone know anything about embryo grades? My first doctor did not give me this detail.

I am just trying also to figure out how to put myself into the list, I think I did it correctly.
Right now I am down for ER on the 13th, but we'll see if that stays the same.

I think i had my first official emotional meltdown from the Lupron. Not fun! Poor DH got caught a bit in the crossfire. Since it was heaving sobs not just tears, he really didn't know what to do. Somehow he ended up apologizing for what was probaly my fault. He is a sweetie so lets hope i can keep the raging hormones a bit more in check.

Hello all! I am so new to this and so very scared! I have been reading your thoughts for a week now and have finally decided to make myself known!
I am Dione and am preparing for my first IVF with ICSI cyle. Awaiting AF's arrival in the next few days and expecting to start Lupron mid July with ER first week of August. Is this the right thread for me?
