flu symptoms after transfer

Post by Leanne »

Hello you lucky ladies. Congratulations on making it over to this board.

I just have a quick question. Did anybody have flu like symptoms after transfer? I had 2 embies put back on Mon. and yesterday and today have come out all flu like. I ache all over, I can't control my temperature and I am bordering on haveing a sore throat. I am also totally shattered.

I have a horrible feeling it isn't good news and it is a sign of the killer nucleur cells ?? Any info any one??

Another , bit stupid question. Did anyone sleep on their tummy or in the recovery position after transfer? I have tried to stay on my back but i keep waking up and tossing and turning. Last night I went for the tummy option.

Thanks for any advice in advance - need to find my pma !!!

hi Leanne,

You could be shattered beacuse of what you and your body has gone through in the last few weeks. If you are in any doubt though, phone your doctor - for reassurance if nothing else.

Hope all goes well. Take care

Thanks Zoe. I am going through my 6th cycle and don't recall feeling like this before. Trying to look at it as a positive thing. DH said I may have got hay fever? But he also told me a girl where he works said that was how she felt when she caught ??I 'll give it until the end of the week then call - Thanks.

Leanne,
Good Luck to you, I hope you feel better soon..
I'm not sure if NKC's would bring out such a reaction- more likely you caught a bug from the hospital..
And I slept in the recovery position from right after transfer until my belly was too big to be able to do so comfortably as I can only sleep in that position comfortably- I checked with my doctor, she was fine with it..
hope this helps..
Keeping everything crossed for you..

hugs,

Hi Leanne,

All the very best of luck to you. Cant help with the flu thing, but did feel totally shattered afterwards actually, (well next day for couple of days) felt really run down and exhausted for about 2 days right after. My DH reckoned it was coz embby was implanting and I just thought he was crazy coz was it was way too early to feel so exhausted. But he might have been right!

I hope you get your special BFP this time!! When do you test. Sending you heaps of baby dust

Thank you all so much for your replies.

I feel totally fine today, as if the flu fairy waved her magic wand. I had a great night sleep and woke up without a shiver or ache! Love the idea of it being the embie implanting - its our 6th attempt so think we are due some luck

Thanks for the advice about sleeping on my tummy. I decided I would be more use to the embies if I slept well and thats how I sleep best also.

Lots of love to you and your babies xx
