Dione - welcome to the thread. I think it is the right one for you but i am quite new too so what i say isn't necessarily right!

Wendy - hello hon. Glad to hear you downregged successfully. Its a weight of your mind right enough! Well i have been stimming for a week now and had a scan on Tuesday to see how it is going with another one scheduled for Monday. I have only had 3 follies on Tuesday but they are hopeful of more little ones getting bigger. They are defo going to go ahead with the surgery which i am very glad about. There was a good chance that this would not happen at all cos i have got these raised hormone levels which mean you might not respond very well to the stim drugs. Although this still appears to be the case, at least they are going to do the thing so am trying to remain positive about it. Hopefully, will see some more on Monday. Good luck with the stimming. It is a breeze compared to the downregulating, i thought. I am much less crazy!!

I am not getting a general ana for ER. I am getting something which the nurse says will make me feel like i have downed 6 vodkas in 5 minutes instead. This sounds ok to me!!

Do most people get generals???

Good morning everyone. Well, we had our injection teach last night and I am sooo relieved. I don't know why I was so worried. I had a little practice jab in my thigh with an empty syringe - piece of cake !! Nurse asked DH if he wanted to do it first but he looked a little unsure so I said I would rather do it myself! He was amazed at how confident I was (usually I'm a bit of a wuss!). Anyway, we went on our merry way with our goody bag and are all ready to board to IVF train at the beginning of next week once AF arrives. Wish me luck!

I'm afraid I'm cutting and pasting, so if you've been to my thread, your're forgiven for skipping.

Sorry to say its again a BFN for us. I must say its been a pretty sharp learning curve for us. We have had a chat and decided to remorgage the house and try IVF fo rthe next cycle, IUI"s just weren't giving us any answers. I'm shattered. I'd love to say that I came out unscathed, but I am writing this after more than the acceptable couple of wines and I make no apologies. I'm angry, disappointed and down. All feelings I know will be gone when I wake up tomorrow, but tonight I feel them.

I thank you all for your continuing support - without you this would be so much worse.

Ems-- Way to go!! Great job on your shots!! I was overwhelmed when we had our class, but when it came time to do the shots, I surprised myself and did them and it wasn't too bad.

lara312-- Glad you got your schedule, I always feel better when I have a plan.

Dione-- Welcome!! Good luck with your cycle!!

Jcenter-- Sorry about meltdown! It happens, our bodies don't know what to do with all that is going on! My hubby just would start hugging me when I would go into a rage and then I would turn into a blubbering fool!!! I just love him!! This time I don't think I have been too bad

Michelle-- Great job on your lining! Wishing you luck with your embies! I hope you get plenty of good ones that want to stick with you! My clinic rates A-D(?). I know that A is the best and so forth. I had 2 A's put in last time and we froze 2 B's and 1 C!! Hopefully they will all 3 thaw and survive and want to stick with me for 9 months!

Rileydee-- how are the hot flashes? I actually slept last night, I think my body just finally gave in. I have been so tired. I don't know if its because I haven't been sleeping well or the meds or combo of both. I just know I have been so tired!!! I have a 4 day weekend and I intend on catch up on my sleep!!!

Paula-- SCHOOL IS OUT!!! WOO HOO!!

I have my appt. monday to see where my lining is and if all is well they will schedule the exact date of transfer!!! eeekkkkk!

I am excited and so scared all bundled into one!! I am ready to have my babies back with me and I pray that they want to stay with me too!!

Its Friday!! yaaa. Long weekend!!

Jeck- The hot flashes are beginning to lay off thank goodness. You go get that sleep!! I've been having a hard time to. I think between being hot, and thinking about this whole thing all the time, I cannot sleep either. I've been a zombie. I have my appointment to check my lining on monday too my sista! Hopefully we are both good to go eh! I still cannot believe how fast this is happening!!

Ems-Good job on the shots. I was suprised at how easy they were too. I am a huge baby, so I think this whole thing brings out how strong we can be.

Rachel (lara)- Thats so great you get to start earlier than anticipated.. All the luck to ya.

Catnip- Thats great you are still going threw with the ER. Good luck girl!!

I went to get my blood drawn at a lab here yesterday, and they had a guy come in and he stuck me in my arm and missed. Then a lady came in and stuck me in my hand and dug around for a while and didn't hit anything. Then she stuck me in the other hand and dug around and didn't hit anything. They made me go in the bathroom and run my arms and hands under hot water. Then another lady came in and stuck me in the knuckle and finally got it. Has anyone else gone through this? Any suggestions before the next one? Baby Dust to all of us!!!

Hi Cat how's it going with your second week of stims. Hope you get loads more follies on monday? Have u been bloated and all puffed up? I really admire you not having a general ana, i'll take everything i can get although in answer to your question i do think i'm in the minority, my nurse told me that ladies only usually get it if they have high ovaries or some other medical reason. But i was getting myself in such a state worrying about it that i oppted to pay extra to get put out.

Got my AF today, as well as pain. I keep thinking this will be my last one for 10 months. I rang my clinic and have my scan on thursday 6th and hopefully should start my injections then. Will have to wait and see( it will be only 2 wekks on the downers)

So, I got my AF today...I guess this is it! The beginning (well, not really) of making this baby.
I hear some of you talking about going in for scans just after AF, prior to injections. My clinic didn't mention that. They have me scheduled to come in like a week after the Lupron begins. What seems to be the norm?

Hello Ladies--lots of you!

I just jumped over to this thread--seems perfect--I just strated my stims today! There are so many of you around it is great to be able to talk to people who understand.

I have some ultrasounds here and there and then on July 8th I get a final date for the EC. It will be July 10, 11, 0r 12!

I was just thinking about how I am soo excited to be starting all this, even though it doesn't mean I'm pregnant already or anything, it just feels good to actually be working towards it now...instead of just waiting..I've been on a waiting list at my Dr's since January!!!

DioneT2002-- Woo Hoo on AF arriving... Let the games begin!! I went for my suppression check about 10 days after starting lupron, so that is about right. They will check to make sure you are suppressed, meaning that you have no cysts and your lining is thin and that your estrodial level is low. That way that can start pumping you up and control it with the meds!

Susan--Great that AF arrived now you can begin the process of making your wee one!!

Rileydee--eeeekkkk I know its getting close now!!! I just dread the 2ww because I know that time will stand still. I am so ready to see if my little ones thaw and do okay!! I pray that this is the one for me!! I just don't know if I can survive another loss... Oh I have bad veins and they like to run and hide. I have one good spot in the bend of my arm and I let them wear that spot out!

Hi All,

Is it to late for me to join in this thread? I didn't want to join earlier, just in case AF didnt arrive in time for me to be a July cycle.

I have been down regging since the 21st of June, and AF has finally arrived tonight, so day one tomorrow, ...

This is our second cycle of IVF with ICSI for male factor, and our first cycle was cancelled because I had cysts on my ovaries after 4 days of sniffing on a flare regime, hence the longer down reg this time. So we have our fingers crossed for a nicer looking scan this time.
