Vicki-- thanks for the well wishes!! I know exactly what you mean about the nerves. My thoughts are completely overloaded with the cycle. My husband keeps telling me to get my mind off of it but I finally explained to him today that the way you have to keep up with all the meds everyday, you are constantly reminded of what is going on. He got it, thank goodness! Where are you in your cycle? Hope all is going well!

Nicola--I am sending you witchy vibes so AF rears her ugly head for you!!

Amanda--Glad to see you over here!!

Suzanne--Welcome and sending your ovaries orders to act right and not make any cysts just great eggs!!

Tonia--Looks like we will be getting our embies around the same time!!! eeeekkkkk! Paducah KY is in the western part of Kentucky. Its been a while since I have been to St Louis, if we go somewhere for the weekend we always end up going to Nashville Tn which is about the same distance from us as St Louis is... Nashville is actually where I have to go for my fertility treatment, there is not a fertility clinic in western KY, it sucks especially when last Monday I drove 2 1/2 hrs one way to Nashville just to get my blood drawn for my estrodial level!!!! Oh well, hopefully it will be all worth it!

Rileydee--I have been catching up on my zzz's, didn't get out of bed till after 9 this morn!! LOL

Well is after 10pm my time and way past my bed time!

Hello everyone,

It is a holiday weekend, the weekend before July 4th and I can hear the fireworks going off in the background.

Em - I am so sorry to hear about your negative. Unfortunately, we can all relate to the emotions you must be going through. You are much stronger than I if you are able to wake up and feel better. Keep the faith. God has a plan for you and for all of us. Unfortunately, it is all in His time.

Jordan - How did the mixing of the menopur go for you. I was in tears the first time I had to mix menopur and bravelle. I must have ruined 3-4 vials of bravelle trying to get it right. I was basically in tears. Fortunately, my DH is a much calmer person than I. If it makes you feel any better, the menopur gave me much better results, especially with my lining.

I had my transfer yesterday, 4 embies. Three male and 1 female. Are were grade 2. 2 were 10 cell and 2 were only 6 cell. The clinic we used this time is 4 hours from my house so we spent the night last night. Now comes the hard part, the 2ww. I had some cramping today which scares me. Are they AF cramps or from implanting or other. In such an uncertain process, I wish there were at least some points of certaintly or comfort. Every symptom you have can mean you are or are not pregnant. Ironically, my daily reading today was in Matthew and on worry....basically, that we should give up our worries to God, he knows what we need. Now, if I can just put it into practice....I test on July 12.

Jeck- will you be using frozen embies this time. I am thinking your grade B is equivalent to my grade 2s. What is your protocol this time? What are your dates.

Hello Ladies!

This is my first post (okay second). I have been TTC naturally since last June and then with an RE in November 2005. I tried 5 cycles of Femara with trigger shots and no IUI just BD. My RE was a rip off and possible scammer. At least I think. Procedures like HSG that were covered by our healthcare in Canada, he wanted to charge for. But RE's are private so I guess they can do what they want (to a degree). Anyway, I got another referral to a new clinic which I love. My new RE said he wouldn't even touch me without having done an HSG. He did one right away (covered under the health benefits in Ontario Canada) and it revealled I have 2 blocked tubes. Good thing, I didn't shell out big bucks with the other RE. So here I am having to do IVF. Because both tubes are blocked most of it is covered under the Ontario provincial health plan. The drugs are covered by my benefits. But I have no idea what to expect. My final consultation is Wednesday.

So I have some questions. I have some injectibles (Lupron and Puregon (sames as Follistim in America)). I know my RE will tell me when to start, but I was wondering if stimming starts around Cycle day 3 like Clomid and Femara? How long do you have to inject for? Does the egg extraction hurt?

Anyway, it will be great getting to know y'all.

Good growing, good dancing, good sticking

Michelle... WOW 4.. I am praying sticky prayers for you... How ironic about your reading for today.... I totally agree Give up ALL your worries to God....

The mixing of the Menapour went well... (I only ruined 1 vile ) LOL and the shot itself did not hurt at all (I iced my leg..lol) I only take that one more time (day after tomorrow)

QUESTION.... can any of you ever "feel" you overies working.. lol ... like little pains or aching.. ????? I am wondering if I am just imagining things... hahahahha

Jordan - thank you! I am happy to hear your shots were not too bad. I had to do them in the stomach which hurt like crap! If you are almost done with your shots I would guess it is getting close to retreival time. Do you know how many follicles you have and the size? If I can offer any advice with the prometrium shots, it would be to use a heating pad after the shot. It really does help!

MBA Chick - I had some similar issues with a doctor in Sarasota. They do not accept insurance so you are self pay. However, I should have still been able to turn my receipts into my insurance company. When I called the office, I was told they would charge me more if I turned it in to insurance. My new doctor told me that is crap! However, the doctor will not provide me with a receipt with the medical codes making it impossible for me to turn the claim in. You are lucky you switched doctors.

Regarding the retrieval, I have had 3 and did not find any of them to be painful. The put you under. I had been extremely groggy afterwards. For me the hardest part has been difficulty in going to the bathroom and gas. I know this is gross to talk about, but.... I asked the doctor if there was anything I could take. They suggested Citrucel. So I took that, and when did I finally get relief, the day of the transfer. I was worried the movement would cause my embryos not to attach. My DH just shakes his head and says that I should be smarter than that. Anyway, I quit taking it now until after the pregnancy test.

Michelle... I have heard that about a heating pad.. someone also told me the rice sock in the microwave works .....

I sooo know what you mean about thinking it would cause you babies not t stick.. I would be the smae way.. lol I have had several surgeries so I am assuming it will kinda be like recovering from a LAP..

I find out on the 5th how many I have as of now... I hope there are a good many.. lol... I am only on 300 IU follistim for 3 days and then 225iu for 4 days... then 2 days of 1 vile Menapour.. seems like low dose but I could be wrong..

How is everyone else doing???

DolceVita. THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!!!! I am sooo p[lease to see your BFP!!!! Congrats!!!!!

Hello,

Just got back from an u/s to see how I am reacting to the stims. I had about 12-14 small follicles on my left ovary and several on my right ovary that were ready to be measured. They are going to call me later to tell me the measurements and dosage changes.

I turn the Follistim pen to 75 and take it every evening. I also take 2 vials of the Repronex every morning. I used to take 10 of the Lupron every morning, but since I satarted my stims, I only take 5.

Jordan,
You take 300 something of the Follistim?? Holy EXPENSIVE [but you have ins]!!

Yeah, as soon as I say something about not even feeling the Follistim, what do you know...it hurt SO BAD last night. I told the nurse today and she said to try it in my leg tonight...Still no probs with the Lupron or IM shots--just a sore muscle. [hopefully that statement doesn't come back to bite me like the other one!!]

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!! HOPE EVERYONE ENJOYS THEIR DAY OFF!! [sorry to rub it in, but I am a teacher, so I have been off all summer--PERFECT TIMING to go through all of this though!!!!]

Thanks Dolcevita for spreading the love and luck...we all need it--and congrats!!!

I had not tried the chat forum. I do not have an IM address so I am not sure how that would work.

For those without insurance, have you ever been to the IntegraMed site. If you go to one of their doctors, you pay an amount slightly more than 2 IVFs, but they will give you three. If you do not get pregnant a portion of your money, I want to say around 70% or so is refunded. I also know that Freedom Drug has a program to help you with medicines if you use their pharmacy and are have had 3 failed IVF attempts.

Jordan, do you know if you are going to be a high risk pregnancy? Just asking because of the several female type procedures I have had done. I consulted a high risk doctor prior to even trying to get pregnant and found I will need an abdominal cerclage (not sure of spelling). Just something to think about. I know someone who got pregnant through IVF but miscarried due to an incompetent cervix.

Hello All!!

I had my appt this morning to check my lining and I am ready for transfer!!! The official date is July 13, I am so ready to have my babies back!! My test day will be the 24th.

My protocol for the FET cycle has been lupron 20 units at first until my supression check then I went down to 10 units and I will be on that until the 12th. I started Estrace 2mg a day until my blood work last week then went up to 6mg for a few day, then 10mg over the weekend. I will be on 10mg until sunday, then it will go down to 5mg and I will start progestrone that day!! I forgot to have the nurse to draw circles on my butt before I left today  I hope hubby gets the right spot!

Tonia-- I could feel my ovaries working I think! I felt so full down there, I felt like the easter bunny with a basket full of eggs!!

MBAchick-- Welcome!! Good Luck

Michelle--Yeah for the Transfer!! How do you know the sex of your embies?? What verses in Matthew did you read today??? I am a controling person and I am always trying to help God out! LOL!! I will pray for all of us to give it over to him and not stress so much!!!

Good Luck everyone!!
