Pregnant after cancelled IVF cycle!

I just wanted to give hope to those out there who feel that their cycle is not going well. I began my second IVF cycle in June - my first cycle went off very well - I responded to the meds well and had 3 embies transfered - but I had a chemical pregnancy.

It took me months to get the emotional strength to go at it again. This time my body did not respond well to the meds (Bravelle/Menopur). They left me dehydrated and caused one ovary to completely shut down. My cycle was cancelled due to only having 4 follicules.

I converted to IUI - I am not a good candidate for this due to very poor sperm count -but after spending over $3,000 on medicine I was not willing to give up. On the day of my IUI, my DH spilled most of the sperm sample. The count was as low as it had ever been. My doctor had 1 vial of frozen sperm - but only a few made it after thawing. I was heartbroken - until I took my pregnancy test 2 weeks later! It was positive! After a cycle that had every problem you can imagine! I am due on March 12, 2007!

Everyone out there going through IVF should keep their heads up - you never know what might happen!

That is wonderful news for you! I am so happy for you. You must have been so surprised when you got the results on that blood test! LOl That is really great-what an inspiring story!
