Blastocyst Transfer Anyone?

Post by jt1974 »

Hello,

Just wanted to get some positive vibe going for my upcoming beta test. Does anyone who have had blasto (day5) transfer and are currently pregnant or had a baby(ies) due to the success of blasto? Would love to hear it from you.

hi girls,

thank you for the warm wishes.

is now 7dp5dt for me. i have been trying to watch out for symptoms, but i just haven't noticed any besides mild cramps a few time in the last couple of days. if i wasn't looking out for them, they can really be unnoticeable. as you can imagine, i am getting pretty worried and am really preparing for a negative on sat.

I'm having a blast transfer on Monday.

It is a procedure gaining popularity at my clinic, they say they are getting very good results from it, so fingers crossed!

Hi Ems

Blasto is when the embryos are transferred on day 5 rather than day 2 or 3. It means the embryos have overcome a few more hurdles and have a higher chance of success. Saying that, some embryos survive better in the womb than outside. I had two embryos transferred on day 3, my other embryos didn't make it to blasto (we were going to freeze them if they did) but one of the ones they put back have embedded themselves nicely!

Hope that helps

Jo
