Hi Everyone,

Thanks so much for you support and encouragement, it really does make this journey easier!

My scan today showed 10-12 follies at 9-11mm, so the doc is happy and says to keep the current regime going. Small(ish) Gonal F dose and Metformin seems to be doing the trick. He is keep to avoid having to abandon the cycle because of OHSS. How do I tell him me too!!!

LM - I'm not sure what is 'normal' because my cycles so far have been far from, but my dr has said that they won't trigger me if I have more than 20 follies so that I don't have OHSS troubles.

He also says to be careful to avoid the competitive approach of comparing how many follies I have with the responses of others. Quality is more important than quality in his eyes, and he says he'd rather transfer 1 good blast than 3 iffy d3's.

I don't mean any offence of course to those with plenty of eggs or embies, please don't think that I do. :!:

I guess that my point is that as much as we are all in the same infertility boat, we are all very, very different, and as far as I can tell, IVF is not an exact science, so we need to try not to compare ourselves to others in spite of it being in our human nature to do exactly that!

Happy Thursday everyone, the weekend is coming!

Hi girls
Had my ER this morning and they got 10 eggs woopie!!!!!!
Initially we were just ivf but now we're having to do it with icsi cos DH sperm quality wasn't too great. We found that strange cos doc said that his sperm was really good about a year ago. Never mind i'm really positive about this and can't wait for our call in the morning to see how many have fertilised. We're having our transfer on sat which i thought was quite quick almost a day 2 transfer, is this common???????
Going to have a little snooze now a feel a bit wacked.
Looking forward to hearing everyones news today
Take care love wendy xxx

Hello all you girls

Once again apologies for not posting sooner - have found my way to the internet cafe only very rarely!

It is getting close for many of us now. I have got my test on Wed 19th. Very scary but very exciting too!

I'm sorry too that i am not able to read everybodys posts from when i last went on but from what i have gathered

Jordan - you have embies - all the luck in the world - when is your test? Its mad thinking they are inside you now isnt it!

Wendy - excellent babes - 10 thats brilliant. I was the same gap between ER and ET so pretty normal. Its amazing seeing the little ones in your womb. Like little stars!

Amanda and Tonia - 18 and 12 well done and best of luck with fertilization.

Everyone else - all the very best and hope to see loads of BFP reports coming up soon.

Take care all

Well done Wendy that's excellent. There have been a few posts recently regarding two day transfers, they may be able to shed a bit of light on it for you. Relax as much as you can. I found EC really painful for about a week afterwards - but we are all different.

Good luck and well done again!

Good luck to everyone else at the moment too

Hi Ladies,

I've just caught up on all the post since yesterday, Boy! there were a lot, there are so many of us now, it's hard to keep up.

Jeck - Hope everything went well for you, i've been thinking about you.

Riley - I'm so glad eveything is going well and it's all on track, wishing you lots of healthy eggs.

Wendy/Amanda/Tonia - WTG!!! lots of lovely eggs, hope they all fertilise into healthy embryos.

Jordon, Wishing you all the luck and sending you lots of sticky baby dust, take it easy and let DH run around after you. Oh and laugh alot!!

Wishing you a very strong BFP!!!

Suzanne - Hope the retrival goes well and you have lots of healthy eggs.

I got 25 eggs from 24 follies and 15 fertilised and they were healthy and very pretty as my Dr said...lol.
I never has OHSS, so hopefully you will be lucky and not suffer too.

Sorry if i've missed anyone, but good luck to the rest of you ladies and hope you all produce healthy and pretty eggs.

Well, I went for my US today and had the shock of my life!!
My lining was 9.5mm, and that was only after 2 shots of Estrodiol Valerate and AF only stopped on Tuesday. BOY!!! that's strong stuff.

So we are still on for my FET next Thursday 20th. We are hoping to transfer 3 embryos, providing it doesn't mean defrosting to many frosties. I have 10 frosties left and we want to keep some, incase we have to try again.
I must say though i am feeling very positive about this cycle as things have gone well up to now, well apart from the dreaded AF being late

My test date is Thursday August 3rd.

Good luck to you ladies and take care.
Hugs Rachel OXO

Wendy--10 eggs!! you little easter bunny you!!! Have you got a report today on how many fertilized?? Keeping everything crossed!

Rachel--way to go girl!! Your lining is great!!!! You are going to transfer 3 too!?! the july thread might be know for all triplets!! As long as we all at least get 1!!! Thursday will be here before you know it!!

Amanda--WooHoo!!!!! I am so excited for you!! You know I had 16 eggs, 12 ferterlized and 5 made it to blast!! Good Luck for your transfer!! I prayed very hard that you wouldn't have OHSS!!

Hi Ladies,

I have been lurking more than posting but wanted to join in a bit more. had my ER yesterday and they took out 40 eggs. Crazy!!! No signs of OHSS yet thank goodness.

We just got the call from the embryologist and we have 18 embryos. I am beyond excited. He doesn't want to check them on day 2, just let them percolate in the incubator and then on Sunday we will get a quality report. Still nervous now that there are days to pass until transfer.

Good luck to everyone!

Can anyone give me a hug...? :( I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself. Am on Day 9 of downregging. AF went away on Sunday but came back with a vengeance on Tuesday and is really really heavy. Together with that, I have been suffering from upset tummy for a couple of days now with really bad crampy pains. Feel very weepy and keep bursting into tears at nothing! Phoned my clinic today to get some reassurance and they said the Primolut tablets I took day 1 - 5 will be what's causing the heavy bleed, totally normal, and that the heavy bleed can sometimes irritate the bowel and cause an upset tummy. So, mind is at rest but she said the bleed could continue for maybe 10 days! Not happy about that, and feeling very sorry for myself. Just need some reassuring words from people who may have been through the same thing. Sorry to be a wuss :( :(
