Thinking longer term now......

Had a blow recently with lack of Donor sperm and wea re thinking long term now about Adoption and to hell with the donor sperm, as this up and down is getting so much now, pls send me the right direction where to start and who to spk to.....

Does anyone know of the adoption agency web sites in the UK.....

Any help at the early stage would be appriciated!!

Hi Nicki, sorry I didn't get back to you yesterday, bit of a nightmare day at work! (not sure what happened to the pm but never mind!)

When I was looking at adoption I found www.adoptionuk.com very helpful and they have a message board similar to this one with absolutely loads of info and support

I have these on my list too as places I looked at although I can't remember which were good ones -

Hi Nicki
Me and DH went to an adoption open day last year which was really informative and helpful. DH was really against the idea at first but once we had been he completely changed his mind. There are lots of couples who attend in the same boat as you and some who give talks on their experiences of adoption. It was run by our local authority so it might be worth giving yours a ring and finding out if they have any running in your area. We aren't at the adoption stage yet but are keeping all our options open and thought it wouldn't hurt to have as much information as possible.

just wanted to wish you all the best for your new venture , I hope the journey is a short one and not so painfull as past experiances , I am now a Mummy of 2 Maine coon Kittens they are gorgeous , it sure helps the pain of giving up !!!! anyway all the best mate and I am sure we will hear how the progress is going .

they already came house trained as they are pedigree kits and cost me £800 !!!! the breeders get them toilet trained and vacinated flead and wormed all ready to go to the new home which is good , i love them to bits they are so funny togther Maizi is sat here with me as I type!

Dh isnt at the same level as me yet with Adoption so on hold until we are in on this together....

Since have the Donor Journey to complete yet anyway.....
