Hello I wanted to reassure you that 3 day transfers are just as good! It all depends on how well your embies divide within the 3 days. Dont be worried, there are just as many success stories with 3 day as with 5 day.
I had a 3 day transfer of 3 embies and now i am pregnant with triplets!

Wishing you so much luck for tomorrow, as i mentioned before take some headphones to listen to calming music immediately after your transfer when you have to wait a bit...thats what saved me from getting really anxious to pee because of the full bladder!
With Gods Blessings BFP!

IM,
I just logged on and got your message. I think 7 is a good number, maybe a little on the low side, but out of that 6 fertilized. I mean they can get a lot more and only have like 2 or 3 fertilize. It means you have great egg quality. So all in all I think it is wonderful news. I really really do. I am so happy for you.

I can not tell you anything about the day 3 transfer vs. the day 5. All I know is they told me the little embies like it better in you than in the dish. So I think they will do what is absolutely best for you and the little embies. So don't worry about that.

Sorry you had a little pain yesterday. I am freaked out about it. I know people sometimes have pain and sometimes not. How bad was it? I assume it does not take long? I had an HSG done and that hurt like never before. So I am hoping it is better than that. Nothing else makes me nervous, but that does.

What luck you had Kennard. Your most unwanted person.. And I agree with that. But I am pretty sure LisaB has her transfer done by Kennard and it took, so she is good just like the all the rest of the Docs.

How are you feeling today?

I hope those little embies are dividing like made today. :)

IM,

I have been thinking a lot about you.. The transfer must be tomorrow if they are going to do it on day 3??? Unless I am counting wrong. Which is entirely possible.

How are you feeling? How are the eggs doing. I hope you still have all of them, so you can freeze what they do not use.

Anyhow, thinking of you, and hoping all is well.

Have a good weekend, and take care! :)

Hey- how are you? Good luck with the first shot tomorrow. The mixing isn't bad at all.

I thought the ER was bad, worse than the HSG, but that didn't bother me that much. I guess it is true what they say...everyone is different. It hurt while they were doing it, but I was really okay afterword, so it is VERY temporary! You'll be fine!

The eggies are doing great! They are all four cells now. They grade from 1-5, with 1 being the best. I have 4 grade 1, and 2 grade 2. He said that they were "beautiful!".

Kennard is doing the transfer tomorrow too! Ha....Hopefully, I have Lisa's luck!

Thanks for checking in....have a good weekend. I will probably be off of the computer until Monday...."resting".

Good luck againg tomorrow....now time will fly for you and stand still for me!

IM,

See I told you those eggs would be good!!! (Glad I was right!) :)

That is the best new I have heard today. Fab/Wonderful news.

Do you know how many they will transfer? I bet two since you are young and the eggs are in perfect shape. Keep me posted.

How did the PIO shot go for you? I think you started that the day of ER? I hope they are ok for you.

Well you are almost done... I don;t think IVF is as bad as people say. At least I am saying that now before ER. But the shots don't seem that bad, and it is all so spread out that it does not really bother every day life. I hope this is the only time WE have to do this, and we have babies very soon!

Have a good weekend, and rest well. Talk next week.

Hi girls. I was just reading over your posts from the past couple of days.

Lm - 7 may not have been a lot, but the fact that you have so many grade 1's is wonderful! I had 13 eggs taken and out of that 10 fertilized, 7 divided, and by day 5 transfer I only had 2 grade ones left. They put both back and one took. And yes, Kennard did my transfer and it worked! I personally found the HSG to be much, much more painful than the retrieval. But I have blocked tubes - so that is why the HSGs hurt me so bad. That Xanax does make you loopy, doesn't it? I can't believe there are people that take that on a regular basis! I wouldn't be able to function.

Kelly - I agree with you, IVF isn't as bad as I thought it would be. The worst part is the progesterone shots. After a month of them, you are ready to stop, then you find out you still have another month left! But, if you are doing the shots that long, that means you are pregnant so it is all good!! Sounds like the stimming is going well for you. Can't wait to hear how your follies develop.

LM - GOOD LUCK TOMORROW!! Make sure to take it easy all weekend - make your hubby wait on you hand and foot!!

Have a nice weekend! :D

Well, guess what....They didn't do the transfer today. We went to the office and sat down with Kennard. Their protocol is to transfer 3 on a day 3 transfer. she didn't really want to do that because my embryos are all right together and doing so well. (grade 1, eight cell). She was very afraid we would have triplets. So, she wanted to wait until Monday....and put two back on Monday. I am happy but nervous. I am now praying that they ALL hang on until Monday!!! Keep praying!!!

I agree with both of you...IVf is a big deal because of what it is, not exactly what it entails. So far the worst part was the ER for me, and even that was okay once it was over. Kelly, you will be fine! It doesn't take that long....

How are the shots going today? Again, I was nervous about the mixing, but it all worked out in the end. I felt like a pro.

I don't think the PIO shot is bad at all! I honestly barely feel it. I feel the effects of it though. My boobs already hurt! I hope it is all for a good reason!

Thanks for ALL of your support! I'll let you know what happens!!!!!!!! Hopefully it is all good news!

IM,

Just checking in. I bet you are at ORM this am getting ready for the transfer. How exciting. I think it so wonderful that they embrios are doing SO well. I am sure Kennard is exactly right on. I had a friend do IVF and they transfered 3 and she got preg with three. They did three however cause she is 36... Only two ended up being heathly babies, but now she has two boys!

Anyway, my thoughts are with you. I thought about you a lot on Saturday... But again now today.

My shots are going fine. They do sting. I remember with my Follistim Pen, people told me they would call it "FolliSTING", but it never hurt me at all... But the Bravelle really stings. When I mix the Bravelle, and the Menapor, it seem to not sting as bad. We are still doing it in my stomach cause we tried my leg, and it killed me. So my stomch will take the brunt of it all! So far I feel fine, actully a little better. The lupron made me feel kinda down or something. But I love the other meds they made me feel normal again. At least for now, until my stomach gets all bloated! :)

Ok, keep me posted!

IM,

Hope all went well yesterday. I am sure you are at home relaxing right now as we speak! I am SOOOO excited for you.

Well yesterday I went to the Lab to get a culture done to make sure the UTI was cleared, and when I left the Lab I was at that 4 way stop at Knightsbridge and Jasonway, and this women ran the stop sign and hit me. Lovely right? Luckily no one was hurt except my car. Just figures with all this stuff going on that that happened. I guess it is a good distraction or something right?? I am just glad it was not right after ER or something.

I have to complain a little too about the shots. I go downstairs in the am feed my cats, get the shots ready while my DH sleeps. Then come upstairs with the shots in hand. Somehow with the mixing of shot I always end up with a little less or something. I think some of it come out when I am walking around and up to my DH. That or the airbubbles that I get out I have less liquid. I know I am getting the medicine, but not sure if I end up with the right dilute.. Anyway it is just frustrating first thing in the am.

I just now got off the phone with ORM, and I STILL have to UTI. I knew I still felt a little off, but this is crazy. The horomones are kicking me for some reason. This sucks. I am SO glad you got through it ok.

My thoughts are with you!

I am so sorry you got into an accident there! I can't believe it...that stinks. How badly is your car hurt? Are you sure you are okay? I always turn out to go onto Olentangy River Rd. and take 315 back to Powell. That stop is also dangerous. It is VERY hard to see what is speeding toward you. I hope you are okay!

The UTI must be driving you crazy. I can't believe it is still there after all of the antibiotics. Did they give you another round? As if you weren't taking enought drugs as it is!

Did you have your first scan today? If so, how did it go?

I had the same problem with the drugs, both the am and the pm shot. It would always seem like I lost a little of the fluid. I am not exactly sure why that is....I guess some of it stays in the little vial??

Well, I am just going to take it easy for the rest of the week. I am a teacher, so I don't have anything that I really HAVE to do. I am having such mixed emotions now. They put back two perfect blasts. Dr. Schmidt did the transer and he said that one was actually ready to "attach" within four hours (I have no idea how he can tell that!). So I know they are good quality and I know there is a good chance and I am trying to be positive, but what if it doesn't work???? Crazy, I know. The transfer was a piece of cake. I actually thought it was pretty cool that the embryologist comes into the room with the embryos. Today I have to call and find out if the other four made it to freeze. Dr. Schmidt and the embryologist thought there shouldn't be any doubt. Hopefully they are right.

Hang in there....good luck with the first scan.....I hope you have lots of follies already!!! Pray that these little guys stick!

As for me, my UTI is better and they put me on other meds, and I started them this am, so lets hope it kills the rest of that stuff. I am sure it will. I read a lot about it and I guess when people go into menopause you are more susceptible to them, and since mine started three days after I started the Lupron, it must have been the hormone swing...

I had my scan today and they saw 8-9 follies all the same size (or around the same). I do have one cyst that is larger. So I am waiting to hear back about my E2 level. If it is just cyst and is not estrogen dependent than it will not grow anymore and we can continue with the cycle. But if for some reason it is a lead folli, then I am not sure what happens. But they seem to think it is just a old cyst and nothing to worry about. So lets hope! I will post later today and let you know. But I am happy with the number, and I hope they are all OK.... They said my retrieval will be next week and Dr. G said he would do it!!! So happy about that. You know I talked to the nurse today and she told me that Kennard is very ruff. I wonder if that is why it hurt you a little more. I hope not, and am glad it is over for you. :)

As for me and the accident, I am good, they called with the damage to my car and it was like $6600... Nice, right? At least I am not paying for it! But most of the damage was to the suspension, since I have an SUV her car hit more my tire. But all in all OK. Thanks for asking.

So that is the news for the hour... Keep in touch and keep relaxing.. OH I have one question for you. Did you take the day off after ER? I am thinking I should, but not sure???

IM,

I just got the green light that everything was ok. It was an old cyst that should not grow anymore. So I go back Friday and ER should be on Mon or Tues.

Wish me luck!!

That is awesome! 8 or 9 already!! What a great number! I'm glad the cyst won't be a problem. So, Mon or Tues...you are a couple of days ahead of my schedule...they must be a good size already! That is great!

I don't really think you need to take the next day off. I was fine by 5 or 6 that night. I had bleeding for several days, but no more pain. It only hurt while I was there. So many people on here say that their offices put them out...I wish that had been the case. Maybe you are right and mine hurt so bad because Kennard was a little "rough". YOu will probably have a much better experience.

I am stressed...Now the roller coaster is really starting. I am trying so hard to keep the positive attitude. I hope and pray that these two hang on tight!!!

Let me know how everything looks on Friday! 8)

IM,

Nice I spelled "rough" like a dog ruff... :) LOL I type these so fast and I normally don't re-read them!

Anyway, hang in there, the worst part is over, not just the REALLY emotional part has started.

I know most people do get put out. But they say that is a lot more dangerous. So I am sure it will be OK...

I am not sure I ever asked you.. I know you tired for 2 yrs, but did they ever find an issue? We have tried almost three years and they never found anything wrong with me. My DH has a good sperm count but the mobility is sometimes bad. Very strange. So we think it might be that. Not to mention the stress of trying for that long. Anyhow just curious.

Take care.
