Hi Tony,

I'm very sorry to read your post. I've watched your progress on the forum and I hoped it wouldn't turn out for you both like this.
I know how you feel so much, it's heart wrenching.
Take time for yourselves to grieve before making any decisions, just take some time. Things do get easier though, I promise.
My doctor said to us that if one good thing came from our miscarriage it proved that at least I could become pregnant, which at the time didn't mean much, but now it does.
And the same will go for you, I'm sure.

Take care,
Claire x

thinking of you

Hi Tony, My heart goes out to you as well, this must be so hard. I've miscarried before and it was a horrible experience - it's got to be that much harder following IVF. Take care of yourselves and I'll be thinking of you. Regards, Racquel

Thankyou for the kind words Tony..

You never get over the loses, but you learn to live with it. You have to take everyday as it comes and try not to let it get you down too much, but that is easier said than done.

My DH calls me a strong stubborn *****, cause i never give up. I find i get stronger with each knock back, I have too..... He keeps asking me how i survive it all.

We have decided that as we only have 4 frosties left if this FET doesn't work we will do one more then that will be the lot. We will then look into adoption, We are determined to have a baby one way or another.

I feel this is god's way of telling us we are mean't to help the children without a loving home.

Hold in the you two, I'm sure it will happen for you. As so many have told you, you can get pregnant, that's a big hurdle to have conquered.

Take Care and all the luck in the world.

Sorry to hear about the loss. It's called anembryonic gestation, and it happens often enough. I see one every month or so. A failed cycle does slightly increase the chance that the next will fail. It's not a huge effect, though, and many successes, perhaps most of them, follow one or more failures. The fact is that most fresh non-donor IVF cycles fail.

Pregnancy losses are among the worst failures because hopes get up so high. The worst I see are when the child is lost right after birth. That almost happened to us (severe heart condition, since mostly corrected, but it was iffy for 18 days). Then they become teenagers and start driving and dating. It takes a lot of courage to embark on parenthood, far more than just IVF. A setback like this is painful, but don't lose hope.

Perhaps so. Up to them to decide that. They asked about the change in their chances for future cycles.
Are you going through IVF?
No. I'm a researcher (scientist) in IVF. Information is what I have to offer.

Tony

I am so sorry about your news. Stay as positive as you can and you will get there.

I had 4 miscarriages before I finally managed to get my beautiful daughter. I know that it is heartbreaking at the moment, but there will be the glimmer of a light for you soon.

Take care.
