Hi there!

Am just over 28 weeks so I thought I'd better make the move as well!
hello to all! Can't believe how close some of you are - I remember you getting you're bfps!!!!

If anyone has any advise I'd gladly take it - have been getting really bad belly ache the last few days. I think (?) it's just trapped wind/constipation but will mention it to my midwife when I see her tomorrow. It's really painful though! I'd try anything (well anything natural and within reason of course!!)

Had some 3d/4d scans done last week and have some really cool piccies. Take some getting used to as they are so different to the normal ones, but I'll try and post a couple on photobucket.

Anyway must dash! Talk soon!

Hi girls

its terrible bigJ here!! so sorry I have abandoned U all in the last months. The good news is that the accupuncture, yoga adn swimming seem to have my back under control so I can sit a bit now, although limited..dh has to do his own book keeping with me shouting instructions from the sofa like a sergeant major - LOVE IT

its hot as hell here too - I know UR dying in the UK, at least I have the beach to cool off a bit although we are infested with algae and jelly fish here so swimming is no go for pg ladies. Sweetie is doing so well, he's average weight for dates but very long (was 50cm at 36 weeks) so he can reach places I didn't know I had when kicking - ouch  wouldn't be sad if he came soon - am doing special accupuncture and drinking raspberry leaf tea and bonking a lot (at last) to get the womb neck softened, will know if its working after scan 2morrow!!!

poor old denise - you must be tready to pop by now!!!!

biggest hugs to all

Hi everyone - just checking in. Had a scan week ago last Tues and scan people bit worried baby's a bit small. Consultant not worried though as I'm quite weeny (under normal circumstances!) and DF's not very tall. Off for another scan on 8th Aug - 6 days b4 due date!

Good to hear you're feeling a bit better now BigJ. Jealous of your bonking - DF and I feel a bit weird doing it - like 3 in a bed! It's been so long. I am SO planing to make up for it all though - he won't know what's hit him!!! Tell me about raspberry leaf tea...?

Smita - how you doing these days my lovely? Everyone else?

hi guys
ive started on the raspberry leaf tea, cant take the heat any longer and want the baby out sooner rather than later!
i know what you mean about the bonking , my DH also suggested that 3 in the bed wasnt his thing about 3 weeks ago and that put an end to that! AND it hasw to be said it has been blooming hot anyway! need to think of La Perla underwear for afterwards with my new streamlined body i think!!!!!
baby has slowed down in the heat, saw midwife yesterday who said i was 3/5 - what does that mean!!! any answers for me?
also my iron count is about 11 - is this low or high no idea, but i have been soooo dizzy last few weeks???

Oh girls - I can't imagine how you're feeling in this heat. I'm fading and I'm only 29 weeks! If any of you have hot water bottles - we've been filling ours with tap water and putting them in the fridge. I then pop them in the bed about an hour before I go up and the bed's all cool! So hot up there we've been trying everything!!!

Am also v.jealous of the bonking! dp has felt weird about it for a short while now (seems longer!) and despite me telling him that it can't hurt the baby he still fees funny about it. Just been trying other things instead but would prefer that!! Oh well, will keep trying!

Stay cool all!!

Hi ya

Glad I'm not the only sexually frustrated one!

Cla - Thanks for the cold water bottle trick - will definitely try that. Have been surviving upstairs until about 2am, then giving up and coming downstairs or outside where it's a little cooler!

Mandy - They like your iron level to be between 11 and 13 so you're ok. Mine's dropped just below a couple of times (10.8 and 10.9) and midwife has put me on iron tablets for a month. Last time though, mine was 11 and so she just left it.

Please tell me about raspberry tea...someone???!

Mandy,
3/5 should perhaps indicate how much your baby's head has engaged-I think where 3 would be midway and 5 would perhaps be anytime due...- i'm not sure though...Just my way of interpreting things!!
:)
Lavender,
Thanks for asking about me dearie- I'm doing as well as can be- I'm enjoying every moment of it. and soon you all will be too :D
It is soo hot here - its always around 45, and am unable to take dhruvaa out in the evening as its dashedly humid..
Cla,
29 weeks- times flooooowwwn by..
BigJ,
Hows your lil un? almost your time..

I wonder where Kim is? she usually sets up the countdown threads and i've even pmed her though for some reason the pm is sitting in my outbox..

hi to everyone else- enjoy!!
you guys will miss the baby kicking inside once he/she is out(i know i still do..) so sav up those memories...

Hi everyone -

sorry to hear all you UK girls are suffering so much... it's in the 30s all year round here, but at least we've got aircon in all the shops and houses! I like the idea about cold hot water bottles - we occasionally do a similar thing by freezing plastic litre bottles of water and then wrapping them in a towel to cuddle them - still get quite a lot of condensation though as there's 90% humidity here too. Alternatively, lie with cool damp towels draped over you, and a fan on, if you've got one!

Went to the doctor's on Wednesday and he asked how we would feel about being induced next week (at 38 +4 weeks) He said there's some calcification on the placenta and the amniotic fluid is dropping, so conditions may be beginning to tail off. I'm not wild about this as 65% of inductions end up as c-sections here... think doctors err on the side of caution to the extent of escalating the amount of intervention required. The baby is nice and big though - nearly 4kg, so it probably wouldn't be the end of the world and I can't wait to meet our little one! Well, we'll have to see what our doctor says tomorrow at our next appointment.

Hang on in there - the heat can't last forever!

love

Hi all!

Hey Bigj - just wanted to say what a fab photo on photobucket! You really don't look 36 weeks at all!
I posted my 3d scan if anyone wants to pop over and have a look.

Hope you are all well - understandably this thread is a little quiet - must be something to do with everyone having babies!!!

Sorry - only time for a quick post - must dash!

Do I dare?????? Hey Cla! There's a few of us 2nd T'rs and need to move, so I'll mention it to them too. I'll join you here. I sure feel like I'm in the 3rd T. Much different than the 2nd T. Less energy, more uncomfortable, tired all the time, etc. Just like the books say! Oh yeah, and actually starting to believe that this all might be for real and I might actually be having babies....and soon too!

hello,
I'm over here too, now. Wow, 8 weeks left. I can hardly believe it!!!

OK - Here's a question... Nursing Bras. How do you know what size to buy? I'm afraid "the girls" are really going to "bloom" when my milk comes in and so I'm not sure what size I should be buying? Any ideas?

I feel like there is SOOO much to get done, and with only being able to sit due to the pre-term labor, I am really anxious about getting it all done. DH has been wonderful about waiting on me hand and foot, but I don't want to push him to do too much, even though I knw he'd be perfectly happy to do anything I ask.

Any one have their hospital bag packed yet? Has everyone taken their birthing classes yet? I don't start for another 3 weeks. That's another thing I'm nervous about is whether I'll actually make it that far.

Well, I have another doc appt today. They will do a fetal fibronectin test to tell me if delivery is going to happen in the next 2 weeks. For once, I am praying for a BFN!

Hope all is well. I put my picture on photobucket... hope to see some of yours for the the 2Ts coming over here to 3T.

I will actually be joining too next week :D . I am totally unprepared for having this baby! And starting to stress

No birthing or prenatal classes for me...I travel alot between Munich, Vienna and Italy so I am never in one place long enough..BUT I am starting special one-on-one breathing classes tomorrow (special chinese birthing breathing classes).
