ICSI- appointsments & scans etc

Post by beckers »

Hi, I am waiting for AF to arrive (anyday now) to start my first cycle of ICSI. I have a six year old daughter so what with her being on school holidays for 6 weeks, I probally should have waited till next month, but I dont feel I want to wait any longer.

I already know that I have an appointment on the 8th July to discuss my treatment plan. And that I start on the drugs 21 days after AF. But can anyone tell me about the other visits that I need to make to the clinic and approx when they are in my cycle.

Thanks

I imagine you are doing IVF w/ ICSI, which is what I am currently doing. It is very hard to pinpoint when your appts will be. But at my clinic they gave me a flow chart/calendar with the approximate dates and times of my appts. My appts are always in the am (at my clinic) and they get me in and out very quickly. They have a great method. Anyhow you normally will have a baseline appt after you start your period to make sure everything looks good, then you will have another appt about a week or so from then to check on your progress. If you are doing IVF expect to have at least 4-5 ultrasound appts. Two in the begining and more in the end when when want to check on the follies more frequently. Again your Doc's office should go over your sched. w/ you.

Good Luck
