Good Luck Sam , Hope it all goes well.

Don't worry about the HCG shot it doesn't hurt one bit.

Getting nercous

Post by samandaw1 »

I am for sure going in Friday for retrieval. Any advice? How long will I be out for? Can anyone walk me through that day? Will I be able to be funtionin gnormal the next day or will I be sore?

I start my HCG shots on Sunday (two days after retrieval) then do another one on Weds (day 5) nand then on Sat.

Is it weird that all of our treatments are different?

Do yoy think I ask too many questions : )

My only advise is to do exactly as your clinic tells you, because only they know exactly what they have done and are planning to do with you!

My ER took about 45 minutes, I had 16 eggs. I was away in recovery for a while then back to the day surgery unit, but I think my treatment is a little different, because I am in Australia, and my clinic is attached to a private hospital, but not part of the hospital IYKWIM?

I had my ER on a Wednesday, and had the rest of the week off work, but I had a mild case of OHSS, so my case is probably not typical there either. Sorry!
Is it weird that all of our treatments are different?
I dont think so, Not at all. We are all having IVF for different reasons and require different treatments. I had a very different treatment to others that I know of, but as long as it works, I don't care!

Ask as many questions as you like Sam, we're all here to look after one another.

Thanks for your good wishes Dolce Vita - same to you!

How is everyone else?

Would you mind if I joined you all as I had ET yesterday.

Are any of you using the Progesterone Gel each day. I inserted it and walked around for the 10 minutes (as required for it to be absorbed). Unfortunately, after half an hour it seemed to come out again when I went to the toilet. I wasn't sure if I should have used another?
Today I have had really strong cramps in my bowels all morning, I think that the bed rest so far and GA must be having an affect on my system. Or it may have been a reaction to the Gonal F which I had to take for 16 days in the end as my follicles were very slow developers. As I have severe Endo it is really difficult to tell what any pain is. I really do hope everything is ok this time.

My test date is 8th August.

I'm wishing you all the very best of luck. :) :)

Hi Lindy, welcome!

I am using Crinone Progesterone Gel, and wasn't told to walk around, so we may be using different ones? Not sure sorry!

I have had all sorts of funny twinges and pains this week, but was mildly hyperstimmed, so am really not sure what is normal and what isn't! The things we do to ourselves huh!

I hope our babies all know how wanted and loved they are all of their lives!

Have a great weekend everyone.

Hi ladies,

I've been a very naughty girl and i went against all my own principals.

I done a HPT this morning. I figured that if it came up -ive, as it's still 6 days to my official test date, i could say it was too early, and if it was +ive, then it would be a very very very nice shock.......

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the blue line came up dark blue before the test strip did....

I don't believe it, it was BFP!!!!!!

Both DH and i are still very much in shock.

Can i just ask that no-one puts a smiley face against my name till next Thurs 3rd, as i want to know my beta number first. I have problems with carrying so i don't want to tempt fate.

We arn't going to say anything to anyone else till we know for sure, but i was so excited i had to post.
I never thought this would happen!!!!!!!

So mum if your peaking on this site, NOT A WORD!!!

Good luck to all the other testers, i prayed for you all this morning......

Take Care
Hugs Rachel OXO

Congratulations to you Rachel you deserve it!!! This time its going to go really well for you. XX

Suzanne, I am taking the same Crinone Proesterone Gel and the same thing has happened to me tonight, so I contacted the Clinic using the emergency number and the doctor said that I'll have to take the gel earlier than usual tomorrow and then change the time of day to the morning. He said that if I could do some horizontal exercise that would be ideal (I was thinking I couldn't remember the last time I had some horozontal exercise  ). This is to aid the blood flow so the gel is absorbed into the bloodstream within a minimum of 10 minutes. Me thinks the 25 minute walk must have been too much tonight and gravity has had its way. So in future I'm going to lay down afterwards and just keep moving my knees up and down or something!! (the things we do  I know it'll be worth it if it works )

Susan, I've also endured watching the chat shows and property shows on tv and I sympathise with you. Especially with all that sun outside its been difficult to be this lazy.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend. Take care

ET TODAY

Post by samandaw1 »

I had my ET today and they retreived 15 eggs. I find out first thing tomorrow if they look good. Here is hoping. They are doing ICSI so I hope that increases our chances. I am feeling ab it crampy today but already sick of relaxing.

Suzanne, I am not much of a TV watcher either but have been renting DVD's from TV shows to start getting into them. I am sure I will turn into a rality tv junkie.

Maybe we should all be on an IVF reality show!! I think we would have so many funny, itneresting,a nd heart warming stories to share.

Anyhow, still freaking out about my prgesterone shot as it SCARES ME TO DEATH!!! But as always, I will get through it and it will become second nature.

WIshing everyone luck. August is almost here and that means lots of testing and BFP for everyone

Love,
Sam

PS how does everyone put in those cute smiliey faces and other characters? I have triend unsuccessfully, : (

I FEEL SUCH A FOOL!!!!!!

Take back all i said about a BFP. I read the test wrong.
I had just shoved a test in my bag when i came away and didn't bring the instructions.

We went to CVS tonight to buy some more just to be sure and i noticed that i had read the test wrong and we didn't have a positive at all.

I had to laugh to stop myself from crying, but now it's sunk in i'm quite upset, infact we both are, we had got all excited and then had it taken away.

WELL THAT SERVES ME RIGHT FOR USING THOSE EVIL STICKS!!!!!!

We have now decided to wait till the 3rd Aug and not test ourselves again.

So i still need all your prayers and PMA as mine is a bit low at the moment.

Hugs Rachel OXO
