self-administered progesterone shots anyone?

Post by gigi »

I am traveling for 3 days (alone) during at which time I will either have to self-administer the progesterone shots or find some poor soul willing to do it for me. Has anyone had to self-administer these shots before? If so, any hints on achieving success? thanks.

A friend of mine who done IVF, had to do her own intermuscular jabs a lot of the time as her DH travelled alot.

She only got to embryos and 9 months later she gave birth to a beautiful baby boy.

She just cleaned her spot and shot like a dart, I think she used a mirror too.

Good Luck

PIO shot?

Post by racquel »

When you give yourself the shot do you put in in your hip or upper thigh? My DH isn't going to be home til super late tonight and I want to surprise him by having it done but I'm scared :) Thanks

Wish i would have got your email earlier. i put it in my hip, on my right side since I can see it better. It actually hurts less when i do it. I found that my husband thrusts the needle in quickly because it's easier for him...but more painful for me. so i'm digging doing this on my own. who knew? good luck.
