Warm Greetings to All

Post by gruvybby »

This is my first forum, as well as first IVF attempt & I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jennifer (Jenn,) I'm 33, my hubby is 34, we've been married almost 7 years. :D and TTC for 3 yrs :( . Long story short, my right tube is blocked, and my left, well it has many adhesions and looks similar to baby swiss. Where have all those eggs gone :?: I was told I was a good candidate for IVF....so we didn't mess around with anything else. LMP July 3, We retrieved 10 eggs, only 3 survived and only one embryo was grade A and ready for transfer....they say it only takes 1 :!: :!: I am 10 days post retrieval and smack in the middle of my two week wait...... :? It is at this point that I finally realized that the support and encouraging stories I may find on this site will really help me stay positive and focused......I look forward to being here. Thanks for listening!!

Just realized you are new to the site as well and thinking about IVF......I have a had a good experience, despite the outcome. The shots, ultrasounds, and bloodtests were really not so bad, with the loving support of hubby. However, I look a bit like a voodoo doll or pin cushion......I'll have a great story for the wee one that's for sure. My only advice....ask more questions, specific questions.....I think I could/should have done a better job at that...which is why I have a million of them still churning inside my head. Of course, I feel I have gotten all the pertinent info along the way, I guess I just wish I was one of those gals who thinks they might know more than the doctor cuz I did all my homework.......no matter. I appreciate all the care I have gotten thus far!! Good luck in your decision.
