hi all.
gosh- there seems to be so much going on. everyone is busy at their own stages, yet we are all in the same boat.
i think this site is a real life saver- mentally -
i dont think anyone really understands what we are at. including the poor dh's one minute i'm fine, having a laugh, the next i'm either snapping or crying.
trying to think and speak in a positive frame, which as we all know is a little difficult, esp if this is not our first time. but we also know that's what works. positive thinking.
neither dh or i have had a drink for 8 weeks now to help the tmt, but tonight i was gagging for one, he thinks i'm mad,
i am keeping each and everyone of you in my prayers,
donna- you o.k? you are gone very quite since ec?
nikola- i too have left dh snoring..can't slep, just had some horlicks.
july-ann- really pleased that follies are growing now, keep going.
hi to everyone elce.
o.k horlicks is now hitting in time for me to hit the sack and join dh.
talk soon
love jackie

Hi all

Jackie - did you get up at 1am to post on the site? You're mad! At least when I left dh snoring in bed it was 8am!

On the subject of alcohol, I was told a few drinks whilst sniffing was ok, but to abstain when injecting and 2ww. So (without sounding like an AA meeting!) I've now gone a whole week without a glass of wine! I've O.D'd on Schloer!

Has anyone heard from Donna? Worried about her because we've not seen anything since she went for EC. Donna if you are reading this -I hope everything has gone ok!!

Catherine - I'm sure your test date was this weekend - I hope you too are ok and that you got a +ve!

Karen - how was the wedding? I had my first ever reflexology yesterday and it was ok. Stayed away from ovaries and just rubbed my toes and feet - wierd. She asked me if I had any hip problems, so I said yes, I could do with them being a few inches smaller - I don't think this is what she meant!

Kat - my dh has got serious injection envy! He would love to mix and prepare - puregon comes already mixed, so he only has to draw it up, but honestly you'd think it was the most serious and intricate job in the world the way he faffs about! He gets v.excited when we do the 'big' injection because its the only time he gets to mix. He spends 20 mins preparing!!

July Ann - glad to see you are still full of PMA. It only takes one and sounds like you've got a few more than one!! Don't forget they can grow right up to EC day. On my last cycle I only had a couple that had reached 17mm+ but had quite a few smaller ones that were between 10-15mm. I took the 36 hour injection and then on EC day they collected 14 eggs! So the little buggers can have a spurt at the last minute!! I'm going for a scan monday too, to count if I have any. Will thinking of you too.

Good luck to everyone else too.

love nikola.xx
Hi everyone
Thank you all so much for welcoming me to the site. It is so nice to be able to talk to people who understand. I couldn't find any sites like this in Australia so i did a search and found a number of different boards but none had the warm feeling that you find on this site. Nikola and Karen, thanks very much for your advice about cysts. It is very comforting to know that this is quite common. Hopefully the scan on Thursday will show all that sniffing has zapped them!

July Ann - that is great news about your follies. You must be relieved. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they continue to grow.
Val - great to hear you would love to visit Australia, and I am sure the koalas would too. I actually lived in the US for 3 years until Feb this year and loved it. Good luck for your EC today.
Sarah - I hope you are not having too many bad dreams. I dream about it all the time too. It completely takes over your life. Keep positive!!
Karen - good luck for your scan tomorrow. Fingers crossed everything is set for FET.
Kat - good luck with the injections. Sounds like a good idea about your DH's x rays.
Nikola - I hope everything goes well for your scan on Monday as well. I was LOL when I read your story about your DH and injections. I don't think I am going to let mine anywhere near me. I have been told to inject myself in the tummy. I will see how that goes.
Jackie - I hope sleep starts to come a bit more easily. I am impressed you have completely abstained from alcohol for 8 weeks!! I decided to stop while sniffing but when I got the news about the cysts I made an exception and had a couple. I don't think this is any way in the world I could get DH to give up for 8 weeks!!
Alison - has AF arrived yet?

I know I have not covered off everyone. It is a bit confusing keeping track. Anyone I have missed good luck to you as well. It sounds like there will be a lot of action this week so I will be thinking of you all. Now it is time for me to do some work!!
Love Kate

Good luck on Wed!
Val - hope your EC went ok today!
Well , I had ec on Tues 2nd and 2 embryos but back on Thurs 4th - only got 2 this time! BUT IT ONLY TAKES ONE!!!
So am now in that horrible 2 week wait!
Di

Hi all

Had my scan today and showed some juicy follies growing. I've only been injecting for 7 days but looks like I'm nearly cooked, so it will be an early EC/ET for me. I've not got as many follies as last time, but I'm hoping that they will be better quality eggs and as we always say, it only takes ONE!!!

July Ann glad to see your scan went well too. Looks like you and I will be waiting together. didn't we cycle in March/April together last time? Lets hope we can bring each other good luck this time!

Di - I can't believe you camped after EC!!! Good luck for the results and keep your feet up during 2WW.

Val - how did EC go?

Donna - where are you??

Catherine - have you had your results yet?

Sarah - I've posted you on your pessary thread - you do make me laugh!!

Kate - good luck with the scan on Thursday, I'm sure the cysts will have disappeared!

I know I've not mentioned everyone, but I'm thinking of you all too.

love nikola.xxx
Hi Everyone! There is so much going on with everyone right now and I want to respond to each of you but I've got a really busy day at work so I'm just going to be selfish and let everyone know what is going on with me. I'll take some time this evening to read everyone's posts and catch up.

Yes, Caz, your are right, my dh did go in for a TESE. None of the docs are quite sure why he has such an incredibly low count. He had to have a few (expensive!) genetic tests done and all came out ok and he hasn't had mumps so it's still a mystery. His procedure went well and the doc said he got more than enough sperm, that sounded good enough for me so I didn't ask exactly how many.

My EC was yesterday afternoon. We went straight from my dh's doc to my clinic. They collected 10 eggs. I felt great after the procedure, just very minor cramping. So, now, I am waiting to get a call from the embryologist this evening letting me know how many embryos I have an when I am scheduled for the ET. I believe it will be Thursday.

I look forward to catching up on everyone's progress later.
Love
Val
